Walked through the entire store and couldnt find the 1 open fitting room. The racks are always so close together and often packed so tightly that you cant see whats on them. The selection for plus size is limited and the various departments are not as clearly marked as one might expect. Whoever is doing the buying needs to retire because everything looks like it is made for very mature people.

I love the store but no one came to help while looking for clothes.

Had a wonderful shopping experience with Angela from the home goods department. She helped us out with decorating our bedroom for our new house. She really has an eye for decor. She was so helpful and really enjoyed helping us pic out everything that we needed. I look forward to going back to this store as I decorate more rooms. You rarely come across a salesperson who goes the extra mile that she did. Angela was a real blessing to meet and get to know. Thank you :)

Great staff and very nice place to shop

Belks has a new supply of clothing and has new employees..they were very helpful. Carmen Carmen was even downstairs selling their services. I love them too!!

I shop all the time at Belk, love it, does not matter what time of the day you go shop the employees are amazing some make it there business to know you by your name and they are so cordial til you know theres. its like you are family and they are glad you come.

This lady got mad at me because i wanted her to price match my item and scan my coupon so she started saying “ i don’t wanna argue with you” and that just blew my head because i was speaking to her very normal untill she said that. And her coworkers were laughing. I had my child with me and they brought me out my character. Absolutely worst customer services.

Sales were good. Selection was good. Cashiers non existent. Was walking out when Karen saved Belks day. She was great.

Please staff more people for customer service at registers. I had store pk up and item did not fit. A total wait of 30 minutesto return. The person at handbags was no where to be seen and then I went back to the other register where line was longer. I wanted to shop in person but didnt want to get out of line. Set up a specific register for online returns .

They had some good clearance deals and their signs advised there was an additional coupon you could download in the app. The coupon was also good on clearance.

Best service available. Need an order filled ask for Joelle. Excellent service.

Went shopping for some new summer clothes. I am a 31 year old 55 woman. I was in belk in the mall and in the juniors section with a few things I was going to try on went I said something to my husband and then the fitting room attendant spoke up and she said this is the juniors section wow how rude does it matter if I am in the juniors or womens section I was going to purchase clothes and thats that.

Great sale going on. The cashier saved me money by helping with the Belk App. I got extra money off and we scanned the bar codes so that I got the online prices. Belk price matches.

Horrible horrible horrible customer service at fine jewelry. Stay away, stay away stay away. Do not buy an expensive watch there.Sharron or whatever her name is, is not a nice person.Poor customer service, Ill never buy fine jewelry from belk again, at all.

The specials and sales are amazing! The employees are so friendly and will go way out of their way to help you and to make sure you get all the discounts you qualify for or that they have coupons for. The store is always clean and organized and its just a pleasure to shop here.

Definitely not the best Belk department store that I have been to. You can barely find anyone to check you out and they are not that helpful. I used to work here and I can tell you from my personal experience that this Belk at Independence Mall is really going downhill.

Cashiers will not help a soul, even as another employee asks them to. I walked and asked three employees to check out an item at five different registers. We had money and purchase in hand but associates rather help a cologne spray customer with no purchase in future. Asked several additional employees just standing around for assistance after walking entire loop around jewelry, makeup to women’s department to check out on a register. Several empty registers had lines but no clerks. Amazingly someone appeared to say she would help, and explained Belks issue of shortage employees however doesn’t explain why four other people would rather help non paying customers over people who make purchases. Incidentally this would explain how magically people who noticed me getting my purchases rang up, an immediate line formed of other paying customers who could have easily walked away or stole. If Belks is not going to assist in purchases and want to collect money, then fire the employees and have self checkouts available.This is why people shop Amazon prime online. If they don’t need my money, I don’t need them. Will not be back.

I had no issues shopping here. Checkout took a little while so if you get antsy waiting maybe just order online.

During life In. 2020, there is very little everything. Normally this store is filled & up on styles. To me personally it kinda looks like the mall is downsizing & it is affecting the store in it.

Sales associates in ladies department were a pleasure.fitting rooms not being available( granted its covid related)was a little bit of a hindrance, but I was advised if something doesnt fit after purchase I can return as long as tags are on.overall it was a nice shopping experience.

I went to one of their sales in the baby department. There was a sign on top of several of their kiosks that said buy one outfit get the other one free. I picked up two outfits.. When I got to the cashier I found out That it was supposed to be the same brand. . The cashier was really nice and said because things were missed named on the sign, They would give me what was listed on top of the kiosk. No arguments. They honored the sign.

I love that even though I lost my receipt, they were still able to track down my purchase by which debit card I used! Pretty good prices, good sales, I like shopping here for my children!

Clean well stocked store. They have app for sales and coupons. Name brand clothes and merchandise.

I gave the store ample time to get ready for my curbside pick up. I waited in the spot for over 10 minutes before I had to go in and see where my order was. No apologies nothing. The associate was very rude and didn’t offer any type of excuse. The worst experience I’ve had at that store ever.

I am a fashionista and I excited!the shoe collection for both Men and Women AND the very large Free People clothing selection that they have too! I called there several times to get into the shoe department and no one would answer the phone and then when I did call they hung up on me so we went over my friend and I and they had one lady trying to help several people and I still didnt get to find out what I wanted if it was there or not not impressed with belks
