I was very nervous coming in but the attendant was very helpful. She did a very good job and stopped when I needed a break. That is not consistent with my previous waxing experience. I dont know what she did but i did not get any breakouts on my back. It has always happened when I was waxed previously

I loved the attention and my technician was amazing! I got eyebrow wax and tint which turned out great! Unfortunately, I got wax burned under my eyebrows. It can be clearly seen the shape of the paper underneath my brow and still hurts a day later. Ill be returning but will ask to be more careful maybe not apply the wax 2+ times. I hope the burn doesnt stay for too long, Im definitely not completely satisfied

I have been going to Bare Essentials since I can remember. First of all, you cannot get a better price for service than here. $25 for a Brazilian wax is unheard of. The staff are professional and timely. The studio is super cute and extremely clean. Their online platform makes it easy to book and manage your appointments. Been coming to BE for the last five years - the only placed Ive gotten waxed since I moved to the Region! The staff is always kind and professional, and they take hygiene very seriously! Theyve had great protocols during the pandemic and I felt completely safe going for my appointment. Their prices are amazing, and so is their service. Bonus is that they have hard wax - which can be hard to find at other places and is usually very expensive!

Worst place to get waxing from . I got my waxing done yesterday . They peeled off all my skin from eyebrows and forehead ..Initially I thought it was just the redness, but now this is all clearly visible . I don’t know how I’m gonna go to work with these injuries . I’m crying since I came found this out .Can’t even cover this with makeup, it will only make it worse .

I’ve always had great experiences at Bare Essentials. I’ve seen many members of their team and each one is very nice. Going beyond customer service, their team always does a great job when doing my waxes. The $25 Brazilian is an unmatched deal. I opt for the half and half hard and soft wax which makes the job more comfortable for me and gives the aesthetician more flexibility (in my opinion). Even through the lockdowns and everything, I have always felt safe at Bare Essentials. They are always clean and sanitary, which is something I loved about them and noticed even before covid.I’ve been coming to Bare Essentials since they opened in Waterloo and don’t plan on changing that.

Most of the time I get full body waxes and I’ve never had a bad experience here. Not everyone feels comfortable, but the staff is so friendly and always makes sure that you’re okay and comfortable with what they are doing. They’re very thorough with their work and always make sure you get the beat service possible. Will always recommend to family and friends!

Ive been here a couple of times to get a bikini wax and usually they are pretty good and efficient. However, I went a couple of weeks ago and had a lot of burning and pain for a couple of days. I then realized I had a burn mark and popped blood vessels. I still have a bit of scarring from the burn and Im pretty disappointed. Dont think ill be coming back again unfortunately.

Bare Essentials is amazing! You cant go wrong by choosing to go here. I see Erin most often (shes incredible!), but Laurie and Angela are absolute gems too! I will make the drive to Guelph just to see Angela occasionally (yep, shes that good!) True professionals - quick service - great prices! Ive been going to BE since Laurie was working out of her home. Erin recommended to start threading my brows due to my skin being so sensitive to the wax - and that was the best decision ever. My skin is MUCH happier! Erin has also tinted my eyebrows, which turned out great. Ive also had spray tanning done by Angela, and I loved the results. I would definitely (and have already) in the past recommended many friends to go here.

Upon arrival, I was given a warm welcome. The waiting room was clean, cozy and well kept.When called in for my treatment I was greeted with a high level of professionalism and again it was a very clean and astute room.I have already recommended these services to two women in my life and will continue to do business with this establishment.

I was so excited to give this place a try because of the good reviews I saw online and because their prices were low.I went in for a brow wax. The receptionist was cold and unwelcoming and my esthetician did not ask me how I liked my brows done. I have been getting my brows done for years, and I have never experienced a place as relationally cold as this one. Not a great first impression. My esthetician went right into waxing without any more words than “hi, you can get on the bed” .. she did not introduce herself or ask if I wanted them cleaned up, shaped, or anything. I was extremely disappointed that she did not ask how I like my brows done, and then I still had to pluck straggling hairs when I got home, so the wax job was not even complete. My brows have also never stung so bad after being waxed before (and as I said, I have been getting my brows done for years). I don’t know whether the wax was too hot or what, but it was pretty brutal. I really wanted to like this place, but sadly I had a poor experience.

If you are at all nervous about the idea of microblading; rest assured that you are in the BEST hands with Laurie.I have difficult brows; they’re uneven, they grow horizontal, they’re blond. My right eye is more hooded than my left dragging that brow down.Laurie ensured the shape suited my face by marking it while sitting instead of laying; throughout the entire procedure I was consistently shown work in progress to get my opinion on shape, style and colour.Aside from the information provided to me upon completion for after care; any googling will yield result after result of why the after care is SO important; and what your brows will go through.There will be dryness, scabbing, patchiness when the scabs naturally slough off, there may be times your brows looks lighter than what their true colour will be once fully healed as the skin heals over the marks.This is also why the follow up appointment is booked 6 weeks after. At this stage your skin is fully healed, the true colour comes out, it allows Your tech the ability to see how the pigment stayed in your skin, how the colour turned out, and how the strokes looked. Now it’s fine tuning.My brows are absolutely amazing. I have shaved 20 min off my morning and nobody (aside from the first 10 days of healing) can tell they’re not “real”Absolutely 100% recommend. Not only that, she’s STILL taking courses and increasing her knowledge and skills! Most people don’t spend the time or money to dedicate themselves to something when they can earn money. Not here, she truly wants your brows to look amazing.

I really enjoyed (as far as anyone can enjoy their wax appointments) each of my visits to Bare Essentials because of two main things. First, the location is really great for the most part (aside from King St construction). Secondly, and most importantly I saw Natasha who was absolutely fantastic! I was disappointed to hear that she is no longer working at Bare Essentials. Regardless of the great location I will not be returning as I cannot see anyone except Natasha. I may be a prude but it takes time to be comfortable for some of these types of appointments and I am comfortable with her as she is extremely comforting, nice, and extremely professional.

This is a good place to go for a wax that is very fast, efficient, and cost effective. Just be prepared to find a few missed hairs when you get home. Usually, its not a big deal (a couple stray hairs), but sometimes they miss larger chunks. Just trying to give an honest review.Sometimes the aestheticians are very thorough, and dont miss any. Sometimes Ive had red patches of skin last for days, perhaps because they went over the same area (or maybe my skin has gotten sensitive?).Top marks for speed and price. Consistency with quality could be better.
