BEWARE old man with glasses behind the counter embarrassed and refused to serve me because I was on a business call on my phone. The rude man told me to get off my phone while I was checking out so I put in my AirPods and he says “nevermind, get out!” I was so confused and embarrassed in front of other customers at the store I said are you serious and he told me to never come back. Idk what this guys deal is but he’s done it to other people I know too idk why he’s always mad and ignorant but I never been treated like that at any lq store. As a business owner we will be going to Steve’s Lq up the street where they are always welcoming.

Good selection, great prices. I dont expect to be personally greeted everytime I walk into a store, especially if the clerks are busy dealing with other customers. If you need help with anything locked up in the cases staff are always friendly, and accommodating.

Hometown liquor store. Don’t expect them to go above and beyond and you’ll get good prices and quick services. If you have some reason to expect special treatment, go here to be reminded that you do not. Liquor stores are about having stock and having good prices. They’ll point ya in the right direction but don’t expect Total Wine treatment.Good prices. good parking.

I know nothing about liquor as I drink a toast at weddings and her a bottle of champagne for Christas - New Year. That is why I go here. The owner knows what to refer and knows where to get it if he does not. We were sent home from a wedding with a tiny bottle of white wine with just Verdi on it. It was good so I asked the owner if he could find it. He knew instantly what the real name was and the 2 stores that carried it. He knows so much I just go to him. It is worth paying a little extra for the education.

This is my go to place when I need a quick 6 pack. The prices are good, and the craft beer selection is much more than you would expect for a small place like this. No, they usually arent very friendly, but they arent unfriendly either.

Small liquor store which is packed with beverage. Employees are helpful. Not known to carry off the wall liquors.

I have been going there for years and i dont get a hello on every visit, sometimes maybe the person behind the counter is busy or pre occupied, not necessarily a racist, just saying. I go there to buy liquor, not make small talk and they have a good selection, reasonable prices and convenient hours, and they are very close by. Enough said, i am happy to support this establishment.

My local beer & liquor store here in South Wilmington/Newport area. Great selection etc. Never once had any issues coming here. Would be nice if the posted hours on here though :P

Racist bastards!! If your African American be prepared to not be spoken to upon entering the store. White man standing behind the counter just stared no hello, a white man walked in after me got the most welcoming hello! Then when I got to the counter to purchase the ole nasty looking white woman who looked like she smoked a pack of cigarettes an hour proceeds to say “what are you having” I had to force the ole nasty women to say hello! Didn’t say thank you after I paid just handed me my change. Moral of the story if your racist and only like your kind go open up a business in a neighborhood with mainly your kind, your on Maryland Ave news flash it’s Hispanics and African Americans everywhere!

I never leave reviews, bad or good, but this liquor store deserves a bad one. The owners/cashiers are the most miserable and ignorant human beings I have ever dealt with. A simple hello goes a long way with customers. Im not asking for a red carpet but sometimes I wonder if I died on the way there and became a ghost because an acknowledgement from these two fellas is like pulling teeth. Also, what in the hell is that smell!!! Are there cats in the back and they just let them poop every where? Dont get me started on their prices, maybe on their home planet a 6 pack of corona cost $11 but here on Earth that is a bit ridiculous. I dont ask for much from a liquor store, especially on Maryland ave, but can I get a simple hello and leave out without feeling nauseous from the smell and violated by the prices? Perhaps some scented lube would kill two of those birds.
