3 weeks ago I bought a Lower unit from here and was told it was gone through and was ready to go with a new water pump. Got the lower unit and it was the wrong part to start with it. It had not been gone through and had metal shavings in the oil. He refused a refund and I was told to bring it back and he would fix it. Now 3 weeks later he won’t answer phone calls, return calls or text. He is never there and had his employee give excuses for him.

THESE FOLKS HAVE BEEN DOING ME RIGHT GOING ON 10 YEARS NOW. EVERY YEAR I GET MY BOAT SERVICED AND EVERY YEAR IT RUNS LIKE A TOP!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMEND THEM TO ANYONE WHO OWNS A BOAT, NEEDS TO SELL A BOAT, NEEDS A PART OR NEEDS A GOOD MECHANIC THEY CAN TRUST.

They should have a divorce attorney share the office in Boat Recyclers. That way It will be more convenient for customers when their wives decide to divorce them over how much money their husbands have spent on a POS that is advertised as a fixed used boat and then the boat breaks down over and over again. Only to pay Alec more money for it to break down again. I guess I know that this is what goes with owning a boat. But worst experience ever.

Great place for used outboard motor parts!

Four years ago I was sold a boat and trailer listed with free and clear titles. The add was false and I have gotten nowhere in that time getting the lien cleared from the trailer. When they answer the phone I get excuses and more false information. There are a lot of reputable dealers out there, pick one of them and save yourself the problems this group will cause.

I took my boat to have the carbs cleaned and they decided not to do that but turn the idle way up so the boat wouldnt run under any kind of throttle and charge me $95.00. I called them the next day and they said bring back which I did and they said oh we didnt know what it was doing, so they said they would go run it and see what needed to be done. A few days went by and they called and said boat was ready for pickup, went to get it and they charged me another $230.00 to clean carbs which is what I asked for the first time and the boat is still doing same thing as the first time I dropped it off. I wouldnt recommend going here unless you got an unlimited budget for unnecessary repairs.

Went out of his way to find a part for an HPDI that another local shop told me Id never find without ordering it. Give this place a try!
