I have had many items matted and framed over the years at this store and I’ve always been amazed at their creativity and assistance. I recently had this framed, a painting I purchased while on vacation and Taylor patiently worked with me to create this. All associates are highly qualified and creative and the deals are always a plus. I highly recommend this Winchester store. Taylor was extremely patient with me and it is greatly appreciated.

I like this location. Huge store, well stocked inventory, plenty of parking, friendly staff. It took me a while to get around the entire store, it is so big, but I found everything I needed and got throught the check out line quickly.

Great place to find what you need for art and craft projects but read the refund policy carefully as there is a restocking fee for many items. That is not specific to this location of course.

Clean and well-organized, but low on stock. The only employees we saw were in picture framing and the front register. They were very pleasant.

Im starting a candle business for my mom, shes retiring in a few years, so I thought of candle making as a hobby for her. I couldnt find jars at first. I like this store as they have neat crafts, but their prices can be very high depending in what youre looking for. They have a larger selection online, but again, pricing. I do wish they had more crossstich kits, but they dont. The employees are always helpful & friendly.

Fantastic customer service today! Her name is on the tip of my tongue, but I am drawing a blank - she had her service dog working the register with her though! In all the visits Ive made to Michaels she was the first to take the time to hi-lite the membership ID number on my receipt and explain how to correctly attach it to my account online. I have the app and an online account and a member ID, but they arent all connected! It was nearly ruined by the manager on duty who came up behind me and another customer in line to scold the cashiers about being in red, which I would assume means they were taking too long to check customers out. Very rude of her to do that!!! Then as we were leaving this same manager ran after a man in the parking lot just to say goodbye to him... Didnt seem to know him personally. She needs additionally training in hospitality and how to speak to your team members because she is surely killing morale there...

Seriously, I can just wander the aisles! Its like a crafting field trip.

Was getting paint for model airplanes. Had every color but flat white. Seems flat white is the most popular color in model building.

Nice large store, huge variety of art supplies and house decor. Workers are clueless and will tell you wrong information instead of taking time to check. App is handy when it works. And there is usually a coupon.

Im giving you five stars Michaels is because I love your store not because Im angry with the employees that are working here at Michaels. why because theyre snooty and rude and they treat you with disrespect every time I come in there with the coupon I always get told I cant use it then whats the point of you all posting a coupon in a newspaper seriously tell me Ive been going to Michaels since 2013 and every time I go in there not only I cant use my coupon but the people are so rude they treat you with disrespect because I guess its the way you dressed or your race I dont know what it is or they just dont like whoever it is I mean you always got to look high class or look like that money ran out of your ears for them to treat you with respect and I really dont like that and I know Im not the only one that thinks that if you spend an hour or maybe longer in their store understand you might think that were stealing but no its because were taking our time to find what we need and if we have like something to plan like a birthday or wedding or some room in our homes to decorate we cant think of anything by just walking in and walking right back out of your store its called taking time to look for what you need and making sure you got everything you need before you leave the store and thats what I dont like is that your employees dont allow people to do that its like they supposed to be in there for a half an hour and out you go but thats the thing if you didnt work there could you be in there for half an hour or less do you like being rushed last time I checked with the somethings going on now in the world for the covid-19 stores like Michaels is the only thing that gives us hope during this crisis that were going through and if I want to shop for an hour or two or three I should be allowed to without being mistreated Im sorry

True that this store was very clean but their choice selection was very limited.

The store itself was nice, but thought the cashiers may know something about their products or perhaps even inquire if they dont when asked a question - but the one that checked me out did neither.

Ordered 3 puzzles for my mother who is older, to help entertain her during quarantine. Michaels thought it would be fun to send 3 of the same puzzles. There is no one to talk to on phone. Only contact is thru chat. No agent has ever responded. Very disappointed.

I love this store. Although the prices can be high, they have great deals/sales. Their seasonal items are always fun to look at and get inspired by.This store does a great job at keeping items stocked. The stay is always helpful and knowledgeable. Store is clean. Highly recommend for all your craft needs.

I really enjoy going into Michaels. It is my preferred craft store. I have gone into Hobby Lobby a few times but I find it to be too structured and sterile. Its like shopping at Target for art supplies. Michaels has a more creative feel to it and I feel I am more in touch with my artistic juices as I shop in the store. I truly enjoy just walking around and checking out all the cool things they have and usually find more than I need. The coupons are great and I have purchased many things that I normally wouldnt have because of them. Their personal brand is pretty darn good quality a smaller price than the more popular brands. I like the store.

Honestly the people here are very nice. The online pick up is convenient. Only thing Im not a fan of either store is the aisles are a little crowded and not easy to have a stroller or wheelchair.

The yarn clearance prices didnt register correctly so a manager had to come tell them to override the price. Be sure you know how much you should be paying because evidently the sale/clearance price (in the yarn section) may not be right. Michaels has a pretty decent selection of yarn.

Winchester Michaels is a great store. They are always in stock of whatever you need and the store is kept very clean and organized. I have seen some Michaels locations that get a bit messy, so I know its a tough job keeping all that in order. Staff are always friendly and helpful, too!

Abundance of stock, good markdowns and swift checkouts

Michaels is the place I go when there is something very specific I cant find at Hobby Lobby. Its prices are generally a bit higher and they dont offer the wide array of home decor items that HL does. Being an artist and preferring hands on shopping, its nice to have another b&m arts and craft store in the hood as a resource, but I simply cant afford to do my main shopping there. Also the people there seem to be less helpful or available than HL.

Lots of crafting and home decor supplies. Gave four stars only because I find alot of the merchandise is priced to high.

Its probably the best place to get creative wares in town. One thing I will say though, is that the customer service is pretty non-existent, meaning you have to seek it out. I personally like to be left alone-- everywhere I shop, so its actually a plus for me.

Great Christmas Decorations them

I love the supplies and variety at the store, well lit and great sales. Recently I had to get custom framing and I had the sweetest young lady waiting on me. After she finished my order she said I need to call my supervisor to make sure I did it all correctly. The supervisor came back and was so rude and disrespectful to this great sales person. She totally ruined the experience and I was so embarrassed for the young lady. She belittled her and was making her look bad. If me, I would have been in tears. She should not be a manager. After the manager left the young woman apologized to me and said Im so sorry I made a mistake the other day so now she checks my work. I told her no need to apologize for the actions of another who is unprofessional. Michaels needs to really look at the managers and how they are trained to support and motivate employees.

The inventory system claimed there were 5 of the item I wanted in stock, but they could not be found.

There is a small little woman who works in the framing department who is both funny and helpful. I will bring all my framing needs back if all their employees acted as she did. I wish I remembered her name.

Had what I needed and it was easily found, quick in and out.There was however an older female employee loudly and aggressively barking orders at a very nice cashier which caused unease for all within earshot. The other employees seemed to act as if this was normal behavior...TL;DR - Had what i needed, wouldnt want to work there.

Michaels is awesome. My only problem is, everything is expensive as fug, but also on sale. So instead of just knowing the price, you essentially have to have your phone calculator out for every item to find out the actual price.

Didnt have the planners i wanted here in Winchester, Va. Theyre called happy life planners.. They were 50% off for only a limited time and no rain check.. its so extremely disappointing!!

I normally enjoy Michaels but, today there were trip hazards galore through the store. The aisles were blocked with boxes and employees were sitting on the ground throughout. When we mentioned that my mother tripped during our shopping visit it was brushed off as nothing major.
