Just an off the path diner but the food was fantastic. The clam chowder was excellent. My husband and son raved about the pizza.

Upon walking in we were not greeted and when the host finally came up to ask how many people, we told her 5. She said it would be a little wait and to go wait outside, which is not a surprise due to these unprecedented times. We waited about 20 minutes when we noticed another group of 5 people walk past and were seated immediately. We still decided to give it a couple more minutes before I walked in and spoke to the same host who was not sympathetic at all and told me that they were here before my family and I was. Which is a lie we had been waiting outside for 30 minutes by this point. She also mentioned that some other lady had taken their names and when I told her she never took my name or number and just told me to wait outside SHE SHRUGGED HER SHOULDERS and said it would be less than 5 minutes. Of course by this point we just left. Maybe a host that’s more attentive would be helpful in the future. Be sure if you visit you to give your name and number so the same thing won’t happen to you.
I have been here before and got some terrible steak tips but decided to give them another chance. I also found out that they have parking behind the restaurant. Today I had the lunch Vinegar Pepper Pork Chop. This was a good sized chop on the bone that was cooked nicely and well seasoned. The potatoes was roasted nicely but a tad overcooked. The crispy peppers were appropriately vinegary. I was very happy with my lunch today.

The food was the delicious, the service was a bit abrupt and slow, overall average service. Proportions were decent and the no sugar or cream until after we asked and honestly, it was only half filled.Overall it was an ok experience.

What a disappointment. The lobster Benedict is awful. The lobster is dry and tastes like it was cooked on a less than spotless griddle. The lobster looked more like hash and was an over cooked stringy mess. The poached eggs and few strips of asparagus were the saving grace of this dish but not enough to rescue the travesty of calling it a lobster Benedict. The potatoes were also over cooked. The Arlington Diner doesnt have a lobster Benedict but the food is much better overall.
This is a hidden gem. Food is very good and reasonably priced. Parking is the one issue but worth it!

The worst breakfast I have ever had. The blonde waitress has quite the attitude.
The people are great. But there’s a 4% charge for using a credit card. “Non cash adjustment” is what they call it. I’ve only heard of that on purchases less than a few dollars. It doesn’t seem like a big deal but I guess it’s just the point. I try to support local places especially these days but none of the other places I eat at charge a 4% tax for using a card.

I love this spot! They have excellent food, they have a nice menu, The chief cook in that spot is a real authority in the kitchen, I love very much eating all their dishes. The dishes are always fresh, the service towards the visitors is helpful. I visit often this place and I not even once was unsatisfied. I recommend it with no hesitation.
Always pass by here on the tri-community bike trail. Glad I finally went in. Great food nice spot.

Dirty silverware. Four separste sets. Terrible dish cleaning. The Lobster Eggs Benedict with esparagus was good. But cant eat in comfort while worrying about someone elses germs and saliva all over my silverware. Nice staff. Clean facility.

Quaint place for a quick bite. Really nice for a Sunday couple breakfast. Its not too spacious inside, but very cozy. The waitstaff is friendly and prompt. Food is pretty good, Id recommend for a breakfast visit.
The food was outstanding and the portions were perfect. The service was very helpful, polite and friendly. If you are looking for a really nice, quiet diner with a diverse menu Swanton Street Diner is the place to go. I will definitely be back with family dining here again soon.

It was nice, the staff are sweet. Every now and then youll see some friendly faces you know from around town. Its a great social gathering place. Would recommend this place to someone looking to bring friends, have a good time or just having dinner with the family.
Amazing place, just hope that you have Maureen as your server. A true pro with great personality and a big heart. Where my mens group meets for breakfast when the spirit moves us, which is often. My favorite is the house quesadilla, delicious and filling.
I always get an order of plain buttermilk pancakes and a side order of sausage. Its always delicious! The service is good, a bit pricey but the food is well worth it!

Came in on a Friday night to try the diner down the street. I will say that the service and staff were friendly and attentive. Just the food was really disappointing. On our visit they were out of a few items we asked for on the menu. While the menu here is expansive for a place of this size, they would probably be better served with a smaller higher quality menu. They do serve beer and wine. I also hear they do brunch. I will update if I ever give it a try.Steak Tips - They were cooked fine, so was the flavoring. However it was nothing I couldnt have done at home. The sides were risotto and mashed potatoes. The first was more like instant rice, no flavor of risotto Ive ever had. The mashed potatoes had a parts that were chunky and filmy, like it was left under a heat lamp for too long.Lobster Bisque - Didnt like it. Tasted fresh out of a can. No traces of lobster.Grilled Shrimp Appetizer - it came in a scampi style broth and a few pieces of garlic bread. This didnt look grilled but it was definitely my favorite item.
Super-tasty quesadillas (breakfast or lunch varieties) and a lot of the other stuff are on par or better. Exceptions are that the bacon, cranberry juice and maple syrup were not as good as they couldve been (just lacking flavor)

Visited on the new years day so they might be under staffing; we waited quite a bit in our seat to have our waitress to come, did not give us silverware, only refilled our coffee once toward the end of the meal - overall the food was decent but the service is not acceptable. The space is more family orientated and not very spacious so you it is not the place if you are looking for a quiet Sunday morning brunch. .

Love this dinner! Breakfast is my fav! But the ladies that serve here are the best, they keep me coming back! Update.. stopped going, I asked once for bacon crisp, on my BLT, and he burnt it! Tasted awful . Next 3/4 times ordered same, BLT, and the cook continues to BURN IT, BLACK! Done.. I love the girls, but Ill make my own sandwich.. see ya...🤢
Friendly, cosy and warm neighborhood feeling when you walk in. The staff is kind and welcoming. We had breakfast Belgian waffle, Florentine Benedict, omlette and home fries toast. Lovely !

Went on Saturday around lunch time on 6/15. Was sat immediately and someone came right over to take our order. Thats where the positive experience ended. Our server was unable to properly put in our order. She asked if my son wanted bacon, he said no. We ended up getting and were charged for crumbly bacon. He asked for eggs, she didnt ask how he wanted them and didnt bring them out with our food. He didnt get water until our food was out for a while. I finally grabbed her to give water refills and she splashed water all over the floor. I ordered the Irish Benedict. It was ok. I liked that they had home fries, but they were overcooked and bland.Check was incorrect. She tried to charge us for two sodas. Asked her to correct and then the check had completely different items. Took her two more times and then the check still didnt have the correct items. Gave up and finally paid...left the bacon on the check bc it just wasnt worth the back and forth anymore.Could hear them arguing about shifts and our server (an older blonde lady) seemed to have an attitude.Absolutely horrible experience. Food was sub par and service was even worse. Hard pass.
This place is better than you might think. Not a gourmet restaurant, but good food and friendly service at a reasonable price.Its great as a burger joint, but also has some other more substantial entrees. The lamb chops are very good. As is the scrod. I wouldnt recommend the shepards pie, its not bad, but Im kind of picky about that particular dish. Their piccata sauce is also decent.I with they had a better beer selection. They have domestic beer and Bass ale.

Requested child portion fish&chips, but was told that we would have to order lunch size fisherman platter for $14.49. Which includes shrimp and scallops that child doesnt eat, not worth it. Suspect frozen schrod, result watery fish. Wont be returning.
