This is a VERY friendly store for novice guitar folks as I am. They were perfect to listen to my wants in a guitar, amp, accessories. Never pushy they would offer many selections and a customer Travis spent some time to play different guitars for me. This is the hometown music store with a laid back atmosphere and have a great selection of other instruments. They answered all my questions and never rushed me. The owner was very patient and also played guitars for me to listen to the amp along with my new guitar. They made me feel relaxed and did not think any of my questions were dumb.So come on down and let the folks at Shenandoah Music give you some review of what they have available.

I went to the store on Friday to rent a flute for my daughter. I fell in love with an acoustic guitar while there. Flash forward to the following Tuesday and when I walked through the door I was greeted by name. The time spent ensuring this purchase went smoothly has made Shenandoah music my one and only music shop I’ll go too. Great prices and an even more incredible staff. Hands down the best experience I’ve ever had at a music shop.

I’ve been going to Shenandoah Music since I was 14 years old (now 31). The guys there know me by name and greet me like an old friend. They don’t pounce on you and try to sell you something. They let you take your time and look and they don’t make you feel guilty if you walk out without buying anything and we all know most musicians often visit music stores with no intentions to buy anything. These guys are cool, great customer service and experts on everything they sell. Great local music shop. One of my favorite parts of Winchester Virginia.

Absolutely a great place to visit. I gave it 5 stars, truth is its more like 10 stars, borderline 11 !!The friendly, knowledgeable staff are very helpful but not over bearing .You feel like your around old friends, even on your first visit.The products sold are great quality and better value. The staff is willing to bend over backwards to help get you what you need at a price you can afford.They have nice merchandise for every budget.I have been coming here for years and have absolutely nothing bad to say about Shenandoah Music.

Although it took quite a while to receive my order, every staff member I encountered while visiting the store was very cordial and as helpful as could be. Absolutely recommended for purchases of in-stock items, my receiving of a harmonica they didn’t happen to have in stock took almost two months, which makes me reluctant to try again… the exceptional crew makes me want to give them another chance, though!

Nice guitars for every style and level of player. Very knowledgeable staff for everything they have. I always find a few nice guitars in there at really good prices. Also a huge selection of percussion gear, PAs, mics, stands, amps, picks, straps, strings, wind instruments, repairs....etc.

I like to shop locally as opposed to online when possible. Shenandoah Music prices are the same as you’ll find on the web and there’s no shipping to add. It’s great to walk in a place and have them know your name!

I love this place so much!! Matt (the guy behind the counter lol) knew exactly what he was talking about, and the Barcus Berry violin was exactly what I was looking for! He knew down to the type of mute that I wanted for the instrument, rosin and bow, fiberglass vs wood, and just everything I asked about he knew at least where to refer me. Price was incredibly reasonable, and they said to bring it back in a month to make sure it acclimates correctly. Great product, great experience!
