Terrific experience with one exception - the machine to capture the image of the back of my eye was sensitive to my developing cataracts, and the technician didn’t realize that was the issue - minor glitch and nothing to dwell on. The doctor was excellent, responsive, willing to spend time explaining things, etc. Terrific selection of frames - not a huge variety, but excellent and elegant. Would highly recommend.

Educated, friendly, and a clean and comfortable environment made this for THE BEST eye care experience I’ve had in my life. I found this Optometrist to be condescending with little regard with patient input. I left multiple messages regarding a medication which was prescribed. I received no follow up by the Optometrist with my insurance and subsequently was unable to get the medication. I had my lens remade due to fact I could use them. To add to this I had the assistant who adjusts frames say, ‘that I did not need glasses’ because she was unable to make the adjustments. That was following paying $600+ for one lens replacement and new frames. I am posting this review as I have been a Healthcare Provider for over 32 years and I know the importance of patient input for optimal outcomes. I cannot and would not recommend this practice to anyone.

They take excellent care of you and use a retinal scan to examine the inside of your eye instead of dilating them. Ive been going here since 2014. I initially came here to see if it was worth going to a private practice vs going to a big brand store like lense crafters. I was not disappointed as they were the first to find I had an astigmatism in the 6 years I had needed glasses at that point. The doctor and his staff are all very professional and friendly and I would be confident sending anyone that I know to pay them a visit!

I needed an immediate appointment with an eye doctor for an eye problem. I was able to get an appointment right away today at Windsor Eye Care. This was my first visit at this clinic. I was impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of all the staff. The doctor quickly assessed my vision problems and explained the problems in an easy to understand manner. By the time I got home, a summary of my eye problems and recommendations had already been sent to me via the internet. I would recommend this eye doctor without hesitation and without reservation.

Our experience was a pleasant one. From the front desk lady Lindsey, to Lauren and Stephanie that took my son and I back. The physician Dr. Phinney was personable and informative.

My family and I our new to Windsor and needed eye care. I had my appointment today and it was first class. I was also impressed on how clean and neat the building was. I would highly recommend Windsor Eye Care and Vision Center to other people.

If you enjoy being seen as a human being, this is NOT the office for you. If you think thats harsh, please read my story below.I purchased my lenses and frames from this office. The total came to over $1600, which was $800 out of pocket after insurance kicked in. This isnt the problem. Im almost legally blind so glasses are usually quite pricey for me. The problem came when my nosepiece popped out of the frames. I had planned to super glue it, until their office said they would use an adhesive and fix it for me. I went in, they took my glasses, and left me to wait in the lobby for 20-30 min. When they came back out, they informed me they had broken my plastic frames while attempting to fix the nosepiece. The good news (they said) was that theyd taped them for me, but cautioned not to take the tape off or the lenses would fall out. They did NOT apologize or admit any wrongdoing. The said I would need to buy a new pair.Over the next 10 days, I would have 4 conversations with them. The manager repeatedly said I had brought them in broken and that it wasnt their fault. They were blaming me! She offered to let me speak to the doctor about this, then denied me every opportunity to do so, saying the doctor doesnt make these type of phone calls. I would later find out the manager there is his wife. During our last conversation, she said the doctor has no intention of helping me and that I should just pay to replace them or stop calling.Now Im forced to buy new glasses whether I like it or not. I have constant headaches from my glasses sitting crooked. The tape they used is like sandpaper and is irritating the skin on my face. I will need a new exam, new lenses, and new frames which will all total to hundreds of dollars. They said this is not their problem.Their employee broke them while I sat blind in their lobby, yet this is not their problem.I currently have an open complaint again them with the FTC and the BBB. Their office runs on immoral practices that will do anything to save them a penny. Please do yourself a favor and go to literally any other eye care facility around.

This place is first class. Dr. Phinney has the latest in diagnostic equipment and gives your eyes a thorough health exam. I truly believe he helped catch a serious health diagnosis they may not have been caught at a general eyeglass exam chain store.

Dr Phinney and his team are both professional, organized and thorough. All equipment is computerized/digitized so results are accurate, instantaneous and readily available for interpretation. A picture is worth a thousand words when it comes to explaining to a patient what’s happening w/ones eyes.

I decided to go here solely because it was close to my job. I was so thrilled after my first appointment there because it was the best eye care experience I have ever had. They have all of the state of the art technology, you can opt out of having your pupils dilated, and all of the staff was so warm and friendly, I actually had fun during my visit. They are in an awesome historic building, too!

I love doing business with local enterprises and Windsor Eye Care is very local for me now. I needed an appt rapidly because one of my eyes was hurting,- and some stuff was coming out of it during the night! Yech...! I had been to urgent care and gotten a standard diagnosis -of the bacterial infection conjunctivitis, but it never really responded to two courses of a topical antibitic that was prescribed. o Then I happened to have a meeting with my UC HEALTH primary care physician, Dr. Margaret Lesage and she noticed my eye was quite red still. She immediately referred me to Dr. Brent Phinney. of Windsor Eye Care and Vision Center. His initial reaction was that this was not bacterial bur rather some sort of an irritation of the cornea. His thought was that it was likely caused by the sensitivity my eyes have to fine particulate such as weve had in our air.for the past 5 weeks with these dreadful wildfires. Add to that the fact that its a dry environment here in NoCo and there you have it. My eyelid has been scraping on my cornea and its all so much better now. Thanks to you, Dr Phinney and the great people who work at the Windsor Eye Care and Vision Center

My Glasses are a year old and the lenses seam to be deteriorating, they look like wrinkly skin.I have been told they are out of warranty. And can make a appointment to get new ones.Understanding the year warranty I wanted to talk to the manufacture to see if they would take a look at the issue.I was told they had to talk to the doctor about this that she was not comfortable giving out this info.Have not got a callback.I don’t want to make a appointment to order new lenses that may only last a year.Will not be going back to Windsor Eye Center.
