Very friendly and will do good work

Great local shop thats been around for years. Mechanics are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Its a busy shop so plan on getting there when they open.

I have had many cars and trucks fixed by Randy. This includes my 25 year old pick-up I have had since it was new, now with 325 K. If you want to have the best price and a mechanic that stands by his work, even parts (if you dont bring your own:) ), you have found the spot. I have been using him many years and all the co-workers from Novant I have suggested use him have been very thankful for the savings and quality. Unlike many shops there is nothing he cannot do but he does it for considerable less than what others have quoted.

Randy is a nice guy, but unfortunately I have not had the best luck. I took my 97 Sierra there for a small oil leak. He recommended the high pressure lines be replaced. After they were replaced, I noticed it was leaking worse, so I called him. He responded that its an old truck and its gonna have some leaks. best to leave it if it isnt too bad. Why didnt he tell me that beforehand?Also took my 05 Express van there to have the radiator replaced. After driving it away, the lower hose slipped off the radiator and all the coolant leaked out while driving on i-40. This resulted in the engine running HOT, and having to turn it off on the side of the road to get towed. Randy swore it didnt hurt the engine, but ever since then I have felt it just isnt what it was....now 1.5 yrs later, I am having the upper part of the engine rebuilt because the values for cylinders 2 and 7 wont seal. Every mechanic I talk to says that that radiator hose slipping off and the engine running hot absolutely caused this result. Thats $3000!Again, Randy is a great guy...but we havent had the best experience with the quality of work. Figured Id let you folks know so you can decide for yourself.
