UPDATE! Excellent food, service, and ambiance. Pork belly tacos were amazing! Home made tortilla chips and salsa, wings, mashed potatoes, and waffle were also delicious. Country dining the way it should be...UPDATE!!!I dont know what has happened, but in 6 months, this place has slowly gone from some of the best food I have ever had, to the worst. For the last couple of months I have been giving them 1 more chance after 1 more chance, only to be let down every time.Not only have portion sizes gotten smaller, the food has gotten uneatable. I literally just bought a steak and cheese that went straight into the garbage. And that is saying something because I eat any and everything.The meat was old or rancid. They had to have smelled it while cooking it. Terrible!!! My daughters burger smelled awful too. I have had a much better burger in a 3rd world country.... Honest to God.The homemade chips are always undercooked and soggy. The fries are soggy and greasy. The meats normally have hard gristle in them. And most of the taste has disappeared in all of the food. No love is put into the cooking and it shows.I hate this as I like to support small business and keep my money in the community. But I will no longer be eating here.Goodbye Wallburg Diner

Some of the best food in this area. Burgers cant be beat, juicy with a grill crunch. Home made chips are great as a side. Great combo prices. Meat and vegetables plates are available. We have tried many and havent been disappointed yet. Beef tips with rice especially recommended. Take the time to find this hidden gem in Wallburg.

So, my wife and I stumbled upon Walburg Diner one evening. We enjoyed a sit down lunch with them. The food is good and the service was good.However, on another visit, we called in our order. We were told the order would be ready in 15-20 minutes. We arrived, just about when our order should have been waiting. We walked in gave our name at the register and was told it would be a couple more minutes. Twenty-five minutes later and absolutely zero acknowledgement that we were still waiting, we left. I seriously doubt we would every visit again.I wish anyone else good luck ordering and dining here

Stopped by during the week. Service was very good. Always had someone checking on our table.Went with the spaghetti, what a good choice. Came with a side salad and toast. Was an amazing dish. Another person ordered the fried chicken and it came out amazing. Cooked perfectly.Definitely give this local place a try, you won’t be wrong.

Love this classic small town diner. The place just feels homey, warm and the air is filled with the smell of food. Over the years, weve had many meals at this quaint spot - mostly breakfasts and lunches. No matter what you order, the service is prompt and the food is good. The staff is warm, friendly and attentive. When we have a client meeting over lunch, they try to not bother us while were discussing business. A considerate team and good diner food is a winning combination for this restaurant.

Food was ok, dining room was clean, and atmosphere was great. Add a little more flavor to food and add some homemade rather than prepackaged foods and I would rate this establishment a 4+ .

First visit, had breakfast. Tasty food, pretty fair prices and adequate portions. Service could have been better. Had to ask for water 3 times before we got it. Will go again and check out lunch and dinner menu.

This place is a good place to eat and they have done some changing in waitresses which is a good thing. The Waitresses they have now are very good and are right there to take care of you. A few months ago it wasnt that way. I quit going there because of a waitress that just wasnt kind or needed to be working. But now they have got a good staff. And they always have good food.

I finally made it over here for lunch and man was it good! I had the Triple B cheeseburger with fries and peach cobbler/vanilla ice cream for dessert. It was all great but the cheeseburgers are amazing! Definitely try this place out!

This place is adorable. I have yet to be disappointed with the food or service. Has that small town feel with good home cooked food flavor. Customer service has always been friendly. I have no complaints.

Delicious food! This is the first time we have eaten there and enjoyed our time, for sure. It definitely had a small town feel, which is something my husband and I love. We enjoy getting away from all the noise and the hustle and bustle of the big city. The prices were reasonable and the servers were very nice. They have us enough space to enjoy our dinner but not too much if and when we needed anything. We would love to visit again very soon!

Its Fried Chicken Monday! So, of course, we headed for Wallburg Diner - Home of the Worlds Famous Fried Chicken - says so right there on the front of the menu! We ordered the Fried Chicken with Fried Okra, Potato Pancakes, & a Biscuit, as well as Roast Turkey with Dressing, Mashed Potatoes with gravy, Monkey Salad,and Hoecake.The fried chicken was just excellent - nice thin coating, well sesoned with salt & pepper, and perfectly fried. The okra was very nice, and the potato pancakes had a great flavor, but the texture was off, just not firm enough. The biscuit was out of sight good.The roast turkey was pretty ordinary, thin slices of pressed bird, a little dry & bland. The dressing was very, very good, with a good sage taste. The gravy was also very good, and on those real mashed potatoes, it was as good as it gets. Dont know why that call it Monkey Salad, it is just lettuce and tomato, but it was tasty with a nice Blue Cheese dressing added. The Hoecake (this is thin, fried corn bread for those from New Jersey) was almost perfect, just needed a little more salt in the batter, and may be a touch of bacon grease.The price for each plate (which include 2 sides, bread AND drink) was $6.85 plus tax, and when the portions are taken into account, this is a huge value meal. Almost certainly would not order the turkey again, but everything else was super, as was the service. Time for an order out of the kitchen is not the quickest, but then again, this aint fast food, this is real country cooking!

Great breakfast biscuits and lunch is very good. Staff is very friendly and quick. They are very busy at lunch, but they still manage to get you seated and fed quickly.

Pretty good diner. They make the corned beef hash rather than getting it out of a can. I mostly go for breakfast but the lunch is also good. Fried chicken is the Tuesday special and its quite good.

Super nice place to eat for date nite or for the family. Our food was just the way we order it and it was delicious. I had salmon patties, okra, and mash potatoes with a side of corn bread..Our waitress was very prompt with our food and refilling our drinks.

Found out they have two chefs preparing the meals and it shows. The broccoli casserole and chicken and chorizo quesadillas were so delicious. Dont go there too hungry because youll eat there and take home dessert and more, lol 😋
