I have previously made a purchase here and was pleased with the service. Other times, they rarely answer the phone. I think they actually leave the phone off the hook purposely. Furthermore, I tried going to their store before they closed on the evening of 01/15/2021. When they saw a customer approaching, the employee turned the lights off ( during posted business hours). Ill buy ammo there - if they have any. If it were not so close to where I live, I would probably never shop here.

Ok, I had just left Idols Gunrack in Kernersville, trying to sell a Glock 43X for $425 and a Taurus G3 for $250. They said they could only give me $400 for the Glock and $200 for the Taurus, for a total of $600. So... I took the guns to Atlas thinking they would do a little better. Atlas said they would give me $400 for both guns! Thats $200 apiece! Crooks? You be the judge. Dont think Ill ever go back.

Was greeted when coming into the store for sights to be installed. I told them I have talked to Douglass about it and they all laughed and joked saying Im sorry you had to deal with him. (unprofessional from the start) I then give them my pistol for the sights to be installed and the gentleman couldnt figure out how to take off slide. About 10 mins later I get the pistol back and they say the rear sight isnt correct for the pistol. So I left pretty annoyed. They treated me like I ordered the wrong sights like Im a idiot. (sights were correct for my model pistol) But I let that go and walked out. I later contacted the owner Douglass and told him about my experience with these unprofessionals and he responded nicely the way a business owner would. Now today I get a email from the so called unprofessional and it was extremely rude and uncalled for. Its been 2 days since my visit and he sends me the attached email. I wont be coming back to your store and I wont be recommending it to anyone either.

I had the unfortunate opportunity to overhear one of your employees or you the owner of Atlas Firearms, LLC located at 4230 Ebert Road, Winston Salem NC 27127, say that the presidential choice was going to set this country back, it was stated and I quote that they could not believe North Carolina supported Biden and the country was going to suffer, and what goes around comes around, then this individual said that this time next year he would be out of business, I would assume that individual is they owner or you the employee. Personally, it may be for the best that this backward thinking individual is replaced or is put out of business. While the right to free speech is for everyone and not a select few, some conversations are best reserved for closed door conversations. Secondly while trying to purchase a second firearm from your establishment, my wife and I were disgusted with the conversation between the Atlas Firearm employee or owner and the tall white elderly gentleman, while we were within earshot of the childish conversation, you also failed to greet or acknowledge the potential clients that thought this was a safe and fair establishment in the community. We stood at the counter long enough to listen to the degrading conversation before we left. So in conclusion, I agree that you should shut down your firearm business as you clearly don’t believe in the constitutional rights to bear arm laws applies to all united states citizens; we know it was written during a negative period of this country’s history that refused to acknowledge certain human rights, I would not hold that against you personally, but know this we are now counted as Americans and there is nothing you can do about it. Just know that the vice president is your second in command and again there is nothing you can do about that either.

Ive had a couple FFL transfers to Atlas Firearms as well as made a few purchases from them over the last year or so, and they are always great. All the gentlemen who work there are friendly and helpful, and I will continue using them for FFL transfers and other purchases in the future.

I called to inquire about the availability and price of a handgun. A good friend of mine had purchased the exact same kind from them. The gentleman who answered the phone said we do not stock that gun and we deter people from buying it. It is not a good choice of weapon. They apparently had no problem selling it to someone when they had it in stock. I will never shop at this place. Do not assume that because of a handful of experiences that you have heard about with that weapon is the same for everyone. Fyi... A revolver is always a smart choice and a Taurus has a lifetime guarantee.

I need a gas block for my sons gun they had it in stock they were quick and efficient. Ill use them again

I honestly believe most of these reviews are the people who work here of their family members. I went in to Atlas Firearms to price a pistol and talk about selling one and was treated like a fat kid at health clinic. Anything I had to say was meaningless and any questions I asked were answered with a shrug of the shoulders and a “yeah, maybe”. They weren’t busy, I felt my questions were fair, but the guy helping me (Jay) apparently either didn’t think much of me or had somewhere else he would have rather been. The good news is there are plenty of other options for gun shops in the area. So if you enjoy being mistreated or made to feel like you are unworthy to be in their gun shop, by all means shop here. I guarantee they won’t disappoint you.

If possible I would give zero stars! I was talking to a older gentleman and he was so rude that I felt unwelcomed in the store. I will never set foot in that store ever again!

One of the guys behind the counter should not be a salesman. He was rude and acted as if he was too busy to help. Since it was going to be my first time purchasing a gun, I had a few questions and wanted some feedback. There was only one other customer in the store at the time, so clearly he wasnt busy. He brushed me off suggesting that I purchase a Taurus, smh a gun that received many reviews about jamming. Luckily, the saleswoman behind the counter offered me some better recommendations. There are sooooooo many other retailers with better prices that I can spend my money. Because of that one short salesman I will never spend a dime in that overpriced store.

Everybody that I spoke with was extremely helpful. They didnt have the handgun with the sights I wanted in stock but they gladly offered to and did order it for me. I felt welcome from the beginning, to ordering the handgun I wanted, to finally picking it up. Atlas Firearms isnt the closest gun store to me but I will return because of my pleasant experience with them.

Purchased 4 firearms from here. Competitive pricing, and few good staff. I have had three, (5 )star visits, and also three ( 1) star visits. One of my one star visits was after spending $1000.00. Im very sure I know who the is owner from his excellent customer service. Also a very tall knowledgeable female employee on sight mirrors this owners pride, enthusiasm, and service. In short, if you get 1 star service, dont give up. Just seek out one of those two mentioned for your ***** experience

Went on my lunch break to purchase a ar lower, complete or unassembled and they didnt have the complete so I wanted to buy the parts to build one and once the guy that was talking to another employee (5minutes) acknowledged me I asked about a lower parts kit he said they didnt have any but there is a box in the back but he didnt want to open it till 4pm and i said Really!! then he said yea sorry I cant help you..... What kind of business has the parts for what a customer...... again a customer needs and says he dont want to open the box until a certain time and say come back later (probably when he is off the clock) So me and my Colleagues left which they were also purchasing products but didnt ..........I would never ever recommend Atlas Firearms in Winston Salem NC

The staff here is top notch. They spoke to us for a good 30-45 minutes knowing we were just window shopping. The prices are reasonable and certainly cheaper than the big box stores.I dont remember the mans name, but he gave my fiance some very good tips on how to become more comfortable shooting a semi auto. Right now she has an intense fear of getting burned from shell casings and has decided she is only willing to shoot revolvers. He did his best to talk her down off the ledge lol.Long story short this is an excellent establishment.

Having over 4 decades of experience with gun shops, Atlas is the best experience I have ever had. Many gun shops have personnel who like to take an attitude toward customers that is superior or try to show off by acting like the customer is an annoyance or stupid. None of that here. And my price comparisons, even using internet, show they are competitive and even beat web prices. And they know their stuff, again without lording over their customers. The best.

During the last year, I have purchased two pistols and one knife from Douglas and his staff at Atlas Firearms and traded two older firearms in toward the purchase of a rifle. They have always responded to my email and telephone inquiries in a prompt, accurate and friendly manner. Their prices have consistently been competitive with or better than those of other dealers. Their best aspect is the expansive inventory they have access to through their membership withe National Firearms Dealers Assoc. If they dont have it in stock at their Winston-Salem location, they can get delivered and usually in just a few days. There are 4 or 5 other firearms dealers closer to my home but I will continue to shop at Atlas. The extra drive time is worth it.

I recently bought a free float guard for my ar15 from these guys. Product is fine and dandy but their service and customer courtesy was garbage. When i bought the guard they offered a free installation so i said sure, why not it saves me a little hassle. Now the problem starts. They took my upper receiver in the back and installed the new float. Never said anything about warranty of their work or anything. Yesterday i ended up snagging a new float at a gun show and went to put it on. Well, we got it setup in the receiver block and vise and tried to break the barrel nut free. No tool we had could get the nut loose and on the last attempt trying to break it free it actually ripped the corner of my upper apart and is now useless. I called and ask to speak with an owner, told them the story. His words were we dont use a torque wrench on installations, we just wrench them down until the screws line up and we feel its tight. I dont understand this considering the tools for barrel nuts have a 1/2 slot for a torque wrench. So basically if you care about your gun, dont let them do any work to it, if you walk in there just but your magpul furniture and ammo and leave. Im highly disappointed in how they handled this. They offered no solution, no refund, no replacement, nothing. They just tried to beat down anything i could say.
