Jacob was incredibly helpful.You can always tell when someone enjoys their work, he clearly does.I wish I had an employee as dedicated as Jacob is!Nothing beats the down home feel, you feel when shopping at Ace, not to mention the value.The Post Office inside, is simply a Huge plus.One of your better Ace Hardware, hands down!

Nine out of ten times what we need is out of stock and we end up at Home Depot. Last time, they couldnt even make a copy of our back door key. I dont know why we even check here anymore except it is in the neighborhood. Place always looks run-through and understocked. Staff is not super rude, but definitely not helpful, and you usually feel you are inconveniencing them. As most will tell you, the Ace on Robinhood is MUCH better - I wish the owner of that one (different) would buy and manage this one. The second star is for the post office and the friendly lady that works there.

Mask exempt. Employee told me to get the F$&@ out as I was leaving the store. Then proceeded to come get in my face. I’m 5’3 he was over 6’. So I guess 6’ part doesn’t matter. A mandate is not the law stop letting these tyrannical people take away our rights as human beings. It only gets worse if we don’t stand up

Horrible customer service. I dont remember feeling this unwelcome in a store before. Nothing in stock, bare shelves, looks like they are going out of business. Do not waste your time.

This hardware store made me very happy. I found hooks for picture trim here, which made me super happy. They have a lot of hard to find pieces at fantastic prices. If youre looking for hard to find stuff, try here before going to amazon. The staff is super friendly and there is a lot of great stuff

Clean store. Larger than I expected. The employees were very helpful, and my wife and I were stopped on three separate occasions to ask if we need anything. Well stocked, maybe not for everyone, but gets to most the basic needs.

I visited the Cloverdale Ace Hardware to send packages (convenient USPS located inside!) and pickup some last minute Christmas items. Pleased to see that all employees were wearing masks! But 2/4 customers were being helped by employees and not wearing masks. I would really like to shop small, but we are 9 months into this pandemic and the fact that employees seemed to make no effort to enforce the state mask mandate is extremely frustrating.

I Like the store but the employees here never help you. The one on Robinhood is better.

Drove all the way out to this location only to find the breaker switch I was told they had in stock was cracked and broken. When I asked if they had anymore I was told whatever they had in stock was on the shelves. Instead of offering to order the part for me or tell me another location I might be able to pick it up from, she just said sorry and have a great day

Great location and selection. Ace is a bit more expensive but they make life easy so, its fine. Some of the staff is wonderful, some of the staff members I could really live without.

Did not exchange broken can of spray paint for same paint because no receipt. This policy should be changed. Should be able to look up from customers phone number to see that I purchased this product and exchange it one for one for me! Very disappointed had to throw away $ $5 spray paint.

I love Ace Hardware. Ive bought things like appliance light bulbs there which saved me a trip all the way over the Lowes and their prices are very fair. They were more than accommodating this morning. Their little Post Office technically didnt have to open till 9:00 a.m. but they were more than willing to help me at 10 till 9am.

Always a joy to walk around and find what I needed and find things that work for the yard

Everything I need is here and there are people to help you and I didnt get lost.

Poor customer service takes forever to get help if you dont know where something is that, then they act like you bothered them and theyre not even doing anything I wouldnt recommend it

Rude staff. Frequently items are mispriced and on this trip not even an apology from the long blonde haired guy working the register. In todays world, with Lowes and Home Depot not far away, you should really treat your customers a little bit better and with more respect. I will not return.

Dont bother with the big box stores when you can go to an Ace Hardware and get actual service. they know where things are and can give advice on many projects you have.

I love this ACE Hardware. Ive liked other ACEs in the area but this one takes the cake! Once I moved to Ardmore! You can send packages out via US Mail. And they have the best greeting cards in town, per my opinion. Personnel are very helpful, and they do a good job of keeping seasonal items in stock.

They are very friendly and extremely helpful. Plus, there is a post office in there. Buy stamps, get a new flag for the season and buy grass seed and fertilizer at the same time! Not to mention all the other hardware items you need. You cant do that at any other Post office in town! They even have fresh popcorn available. Wonderful place!

Great store with a US Post Office inside. I was able to send off an important document and to my surprise, was able to use the smallest envelope which was under 7 cents! Putting a tracking number on it cost around $4 and the process was quite simple and pleasant. The gentleman at the desk is always friendly and helpful which means a lot in these times and days. Stop by when you have the time they are so much more than the average hardware store! I would give them 10 stars if possible! Also, if you have Anxiety this is a low Anxiety environment with smiling friendly staff.

I love hardware stores. My first job in high school was at a True Value, and Ive worked at a total of four different stores, including an Ace franchise, over the years. This store has so much potential as an anchor in the Ardmore neighborhood, but it consistently lets me down. I used to try to make it a point to stop here if I needed something simple, because Id much rather keep my money local than spend it at the Big Orange Retail Giant. Unfortunately, I am consistently let down due to their poor selection. Empty pegs, empty shelves, chaotic merchandising, and associates who can barely be bothered to help locate something in the wasteland. Ive stopped making these trips and now travel a bit farther to the Sherwood Ace. I really hope they get a handle on what the community actually needs out of a neighborhood hardware store: reliable selection, fair pricing, and associates willing to go the extra mile.

I had made an online curbside order the day before, but an employee was having trouble finding the item when I called and said it may be a few days before I could pick it up. Once the owner came on the phone, he scoured the shelves until he found the item I had ordered. He even brought it to my vehicle where I was parked and brought my kids a surprise (water balloons). He saved my daughters birthday party because the item was a slip and slide and no other store in town has one in stock!!

Greeted and helped right away.This was a quick visit for some rope and the experience was great. Two of the staff members provided direction to the aisle and offered custom rope cutting if needed.They continued to be personable at the register and offered tips on possible coupons linked to a rewards system. They just use my phone number in this case.Overall great service!

Actually i just went to the office inside, but when the Post office attendant was busy, the guy wearing ace hardware uniform jump in to help me. This branch has extraordinary employees. The entire time i was there, everybody was welcoming and smiling at me

Only 2 people working a 9:20 and the cashier was the only person in the store. As I walked to the back to find what I was looking for I kept saying hello, hello and got no response. Went back to front to the cashier who tried to help meOther employee was in the basement I found out. Not the usual service given by ACE, at the RobinHood Rd where I usually shop. I was in the neighborhood but will continue to use the ACE on RobinHood Rd.

I went inside for the post office. All the associates were very nice. Greeted me with a smile. Store was clean & well organized.

I went there maybe two months back asked a Man who looked like a Manager big guy (No pun Intended) I asked if they had any drills he said sure i will be with you in a moment, I waited an hour the man kept passing me a dozen times like i did NOT ask and was waiting on his help! so I walked out got a Drill at Wal-Mart and cheaper as ACE prices are Horrific, I never went back to the store again and i never will!!!!

I love this Hardware store. Of course they do not have the volume of the big box stores, but I always try to swing by here first because of the staff. They often have popcorn popped and the staff is really friendly. It seems to be a great local employer as the same staff has been there pretty much since they opened. They try their best to put the customer first and order things they do not have in store. Support this local gem.

I bought copy of my house key at neighborhood Ace. It didnt work. Went back and got another. It didnt work. I made my third trip there, to return the key. An expensive experience, in time, in driving expense. Then I went to Lowes and got keys. They work.

Occasionally go to avoid a trip to Orange or Blue. They almost never have what I need. I think they replenish stock once every few years. Most recently bought a tube of caulk and it was completely dried out right off the shelf.

Went for the post office inside the store which was open late on Saturday. Good selection on a wide assortment of products.

I had a terrible experience with the postal service here. DO NOT MAIL THINGS AT THIS LOCATION. An absent minded employee messed up my package, which never arrived - I lost all the contents and had to redo an important package that was, as a result, very late. The management acted like it was no big deal - they seemed to know exactly which employee likely messed this up - but didnt really DO anything. Except they offered to reimburse me $3 for postage. What a joke. This took WEEKS and many phone calls and tracking of packages to get sorted out (and I had to totally take the lead, they couldnt be bothered). Not to mention I had to pay to re-ship and replace the contents of the package. I wont be mailing things here and I wont be shopping at Ace anymore, certainly not this location.

Nice friendly people...real hardware store here people! Yes, theres a lot of neat decorative things here.,but you can still find things you need and people to help you!Its a welcome change from big box stores

I brought in a lightbulb that was pinbase and unique looking. I asked if they carried this type of bulb. A very unhelpful employee showed me where the lightbulbs were and when I asked him which he thought matched my bulb he simply said to look at them and then left. It turns out the didnt have the bulb so I left. Went to another ACE hardware and they found the right bulb and had me checked out very quickly.

The entire staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Most items are reasonably priced. I will continue to shop at this hardware store.

This Ace Hardware is very well stocked with just about everything the big box stores have at competitive pricing. Their gardening and bird supply area have varied, unique products. They are a neighborhood store and easy to get to.

Bad customer service!

Some of the most helpful staff work here and can help you find whatever even if you are unsure what you need. They have home decor here as well but if you need any hardware, screws, hanging equipment or tools, they have you covered. Great location in the Cloverdale shopping center.

Ace Hardware is an outstanding place to shop for just about all of your home needs. Great customer service who are kind and very knowledgeable about their products.

Even the guy who runs the contract post office can help you match up a specific bolt to a necessary hole and thread size. That kind of knowledge, skill and service keeps me coming back. Rare commodities, nowadays.

First time there and the lady was very nice. I wasnt sure on what to do but she was kind enough to tell me despite being busy. Im going to be shipping there from now on

This is by far the best customer service I have received in a post office. They are a limited service location, but they are definitely more helpful than a traditional post office. I ship multiple packages a week so I am in here quite frequently. I would highly recommend them.

So glad that this and the Ace on Robinhood still exist and appear to be doing well. The staff take such great measures to care for the customers and give good advice. Reminds me of David Wilcoxs East Asheville Hardware. Go look up that song... Itll make you smile.

I want to love Ace, I really do. The employees are always extremely friendly and helpful, but this store is out of what I need 75% of the time. Basic things like light switch covers, paint trays, picture hanging wire, wire strippers, etc. Its so frustrating!

Very nice location in Ace Hardware. The people are very nice and they have better/longer hours. Theyve been a life saver for me.

Lots of mixed feelings about this place. For better or worse theres a real cast of characters that work there, however weve always had positive experiences. The franchise is locally owned and if you need something you can generally find it online and have it delivered to the store.

I mainly go here for the postal services. The guy at the counter is quick and polite. Better than going to a regular post office.

Wasnt greeted. Asked for someone to help me mix a paint color. Gave them the swatch, we dont have anybody who can mix Valspar. Walked away, I can pick a color from Benjamin Moore. They didnt have the paint base required for the blue color I wanted. Well, I still need a sledge hammer. We only have regular hammers. Ok, I guess Ill leave them. And the paint guy smelled like liquor. Prices kinda high. Wont go back.
