Great taekwondo school, with excellent instructors! This taekwondo school has highly trained staff with a welcoming environment that makes everyone feel like family. They strive to promote leadership, confidence, and focus for students of all ages while creating and maintaining meaningful relationships! I would highly recommend this taekwondo school.

My son began Taekwondo at TRU five years ago in the Super Kids program. A few months later I joined. His sister and brother joined not long thereafter. In the years that followed, I saw my children grow stronger, gain confidence in who they are, and form lasting friendships.As a parent, I have found an activity that we share as a family. We have trained together, become black belts together, and made lasting memories together.Thank you to the great owners, instructors, and staff of TRU Taekwondo Center. Not only do you help each of us grow, you have given us an experience to share as a family.

We chose Tru Taekwondo because our son became interested after a presentation at his school. We also decided to join to improve his focus, self-discipline, and athletic ability.Now, over a year later, we are so thankful for Tru Taekwondo. Our son not only enjoys training and working towards his next belt (red stripe) and looks forward to each class, but his focus, discipline, and overall ability has improved tremendously.Each instructor is amazing and builds relationships with the students through genuine encouragement and fun while maintaining high expectations and holding them accountable for learning.I recommend Tru Taekwondo to all families!

From day one, everyone at Tru- instructors and classmates- have been warm, welcoming, and supportive. Ive been a member for almost 4 years, and I leave every class feeling better than when I went in. As a woman, I also love that the classes are more so focused on self defense, whereas other schools mainly focus on competitions. Theres really nothing negative I can say about Tru. Its all been a wonderful experience that has led to a bucket list item checked off!

My daughter has been going here for over a year now and loves it! We started out on the one year plan, but after a few months, we decided to sign her up for the Black Belt track! She is in HEAVEN! The instructors are amazing, and She never stops smiling when she is there. Even when she is exhausted, she is smiling because the instructors make sure the kids take care of themselves mentally and physically. I couldn’t imagine her being anywhere else. & soon our other two kiddos & is parents will be starting the 4 year plan as well. Can’t wait for this journey with the kids!

Great exercise for kids minds and bodies. I have seenFrom personal experience as a teacher and a mom how kids become more focused and disciplined.Staff is wonderful in working with all ages and special needs. Good exercise for adults as well.

Tru Taekwondo and the staff is amazing with teaching kids confident, self-control, discipline, respect and focus. I could go on and on with the self building skills they teach besides Taekwondo but the truly amazing thing about Tru Taekwondo is you become family. They become apart of your childs school and family life and they help in all areas not just Taekwondo. I just cant say enough about Tru Taekwondo!

We have had the best experience at TRU. They are so positive and encouraging, as well as patient with my son who has sensory issues and motor skills delays. I love how they focus on teaching the children respect, mindfulness, and self-defense. I would recommend it to everyone who has a child.

My son asked to sign up after he had a week of it at school. We have been attending for a little over a year, and the Davie location now for about 8 months. Leyton recently signed up for the black belt club and has made a goal and is committed to get his black belt. I love that Master Sarah A. treats all the kids in class like family and with respect! She is teaching the students early on how important setting goals for yourself is and encourages them along the way!We are so proud to be part of the TRU family!

Our son has been training with TRU Taekwondo for a little over a year and he absolutely loves it. They have great, personable instructors. Fantastic facilities for their students and the knowledge that our son will learn trust, respect and understanding that will last him a lifetime.

My daughter was in the after school week program for 2 years straight. She really enjoyed herself and learning what you were showing the students. She is happy about breaking a board and counting in Korean. Thank you for giving kids an opportunity to do this yearly.

TRU has been such a blessing for my stepdaughter! They have helped her gain confidence, become a leader, be proud of herself for achieving her goals, and deal with bullies, etc. at school. I cannot shout their praises high enough. TRU is amazing!

This place is awesome! ...and I havent even set foot in it yet. We moved from Indiana last year, so totally new school for my son. While speaking with his teacher about an incident with another student, something told me to ask her about boxing or Taekwondo for him for next school year. She told me about TRU and said her son still attends, so I pulled up their website. From helping their students be everything God wants them to be, I was hooked. I truly enjoyed their blog. I saw how much TRU genuinely cares for its students and staff by viewing it. The best part was that I input my info for more info and received a call from Mike in around an hour! I was expecting registration for Fall type information, but received an immediate Trial Special invitation. I am so glad I called. I would love for my son to be trained at a place as special as this. We will definitely be seeing them soon.

Tru Taekwondo is a great place, my daughter Jordan Maddox has been taking classes going on 3 years. She take her classes in the kernersville location. This May she will become a black belt. We love ALL THE MASTERS and instructors. Her taking classes have really improved her focusing in school and respecting her peers and teachers. We really contribute a lot of that to TRU. Thank you TRU she is GREAT because of you.

Very professional environment all of the masters are very respectful to all kids and adults no criticism Im so glad my 9 year old son goes there

Everyone is always welcoming and make you feel right at home. I love watching my child grow in strength, coordination, have fun, all while teaching life long skills.

Tru has been such a blessing to our family. My youngest son has angelman syndrome, and one of his symptoms include a severe heat intolerance. That being said finding a sport/hobby for his very active four year old brother that was indoors all year round was difficult. Until we found Tru Taekwondo! Not only have we found our safe haven for Declan, we have met some amazing people and grew a passion for Taekwondo. My son AND husband both are a part of Tru and we all love it! They have both learned things that they will carry with them for the rest of their life.The instructors are respectful, personable, encouraging and supportive beyond words!Highly recommend Tru!

We started almost 3 years ago and I noticed it has gave me more discipline and over all healthily.

My daughters have trained her for over 4 years! My 12 year old just got her black belt and is on the leadership team! My 7 year old just got her red belt! The team at Tru is amazing and has helped each of my girls build confidence. My 7 year old has finally come out of her shell and is able the focus better in school (she was a very quiet child and had little confidence). Tru tkd is what helped her get to the point to open up and has built up her confidence! She is currently training with the red and up class. It is amazing to see how far they both have come with the help from Master Cadiente and Grand Master Douglas along with the whole tru leadership team. My 12 year old is in Crosby scholars and Tru has helped her with her volunteer hours as well. Regardless if your looking at martial arts for a child’s activity or an Adult activity to stay healthy I highly recommend Tru. They are amazing! They take the time with your child and truly care about them as an individual! They will teach them trust respect and understanding which is what TRU stands for!!

Tru has the best staff that will help your child that may have disabilities such as Austism, ADD or ADHD. They teach them respect, mind and body focus but more importantly self respect and confidence!We love our TRU family!

I would whole heartedly recommend TRU Taekwondo!!!! So grateful we found them! My son started when he was 12. He has autism and can be somewhat socially anxious. But, everyone at TRU made us feel so welcome! The instructors have always been so supportive with my son. He is 16 now and has his first degree black belt and is quickly approaching his second degree black belt! I am so proud of him and thankful for TRU! TRU has made such a positive change in all our lives!
