Hi, today I’ve had enough, my name is duwap, older gentleman, Maria the manager in the outlet side is not good at her job, there is a noticeable difference when her and other managers work, she only rolls out tagged items and she only rolls out once every hour and a half, stores pace is incredibly slow and trash quality goods, please move her to another section or store, not outlet
Shopping at Goodwill is always exciting and lots of fun.You never know what you may find. The store is always very clean and items well organized to be such a large variety of different items.Awesome place to look for antiques.
I go to a lot of Goodwills and this store always has exactly what your looking for. There is the retail store and wholesale store. The wholesale store is more like cloths in bins that you have to look through. Its cheaper than the retail, but I go to retail store. Its clean and organized. When you have children that grow and change sizes every 6 months, this is the perfect place.
Had a musty odor in the store but I was able to get some cute clothes for my girls. In the wash they go!
Love this store and the employees only thing is which isnt there fault they are apways out of something today was the largest cups and the crushed ice machine was broke and being pregnant it crushed.y heart
Great place. Lots of variety. Great service.
Just doesnt smell or look like anything is clean. I compare it to restore and its just hard to even breathe in the store.
Very friendly, nice doneI would visit again, very helpful
You can bet youll always find a good deal at the Benz at this Goodwill.
Very interesting experience sifting through bins to find treasures.
U was at this goodwill to drop a mirror that did not size the wall on my hallway met a miserable white lady that told me since I did not have the dresser, I could not drop the mirror. Never knew Goodwill demanded half the furniture in my house just to make a mirror donation. Wish I dont have to give any star at all.
Lots of clothes in the Retail store, only about 80 to 90 percent womens.
Always have what I need when I am in a hurry .. Cant beat the prices
I went into the Outlet part of the store. It depends on what youre looking for, at the time.
Huge Store with Huge inventory. Pleasant cashiers and nice selection of clothes, shoes, toys, & furniture.
They change the price of items when you are at the register ready to check out
Theyve made some arrangement changes, but still have a lot of junk.
Its a nice store theyve got lots of nice things in there what I went for I got.
Love goodwill they have some awesome employees
Well organized after the remodel. Great items too
Found a few things that I couldnt live without apparently lol not a long wait at the register. I love to stop by here randomly and see what I come across.
Yo son them old ladies be thick son fr
Used to love going to Goodwill. However, now it is nothing but horrible! Goodwill is nothing but All About Greed now. Employees are rude. You may find a very sweet person rarely but not enough to make you want to come back. There are now great locations (stores) where items are donated and resold for animal rescue and shelter needs. The stores are about the same size as a goodwill. We need more of them!
Great price nice customers service
Great deals in the clearance center!
Always full of good stuff
Always find great things.
Good place. The office is very nice professional and clean, very helpful always. They help with resumes and many other things. You can use the computers if you need them. That is very nice. 5 stars. Sadly the rest of Goodwill is not as great. The warehouse where all the stuff is located its a mess. And the other store thats more organized its alright but not good.
I went to this Goodwill today looking for a few items to piece together a Halloween costume and as I was looking through the t-shirts a huge roach crawled past my foot..u realize its all used stuff but really?
When I come to Winston to visit my sister always visit here but disapointed today. Inventory limited compared to visting this store in the past almost like this store is going out of business.
Both sides/stores - retail and bin store are clean and orderly. Good customer service on both sides. Plenty of parking
Its bigger then some and has alot of stuff but the staff is not friendly at all no one ask if u need anything and all the stuff is throwed in there on top of each other
I love the variation of clothing they have and the large amount of clothes you can get for so little!! would recommend anyone to visit!!! you could also find clothes of your style in this outlet.
Fantastic and had everything I needed plus some!
GW the store for me. GW is the place to be. All good prices and name brands too, come on out and I can shop with you.
The outlet store is horrible for multiple reasons!1. They charge way to much for items that were donated to them so they can make the most profile possible. They sort through the bins in the back before bringing them out to the public and they remove anything of value so Goodwill can sell it online for an outrageous price.2.They pick and choose what items to put in their display cases and dont have a set price they make it up as they go along.3. As they bring out new rows of bins, the employees scream at you to stand behind cones. If you dont move fast enough they threaten to kick you out. They like the trash in the bins are pure gold.4.The regulars that are there everyday/all day who resell items they purchase are horrible people. They are so greedy and vicious, they will do anything it takes to get what they want while digging through the bins. Prepare to be pushed/shoved and trampled on if you want to browse.5. No one watches their children. There are kids running around and screaming, throwing things and playing all over the place. The parents are busy waiting for bins to come out or standing around on their phones.6. A lot of the times the clothes in the bins smell like mold/mildew/pee and are wet or damp.I could go on and on, its definitely an experience, you might come out with something you like, but you might also come out with disappointment and disgust.
I love this location! I can spend hours in there looking around and spend too much! **my only complaint and the reason I only gave 4 stars is because alot of the stuff is overpriced...Big time! I would buy a whole lot more if the prices were more reasonable there for, you turn a bigger profit. All the customers say the same things when Im in there shopping. It might be something from the dollar store and yall have a dollar or $2 on it, but its used but I can find some good deals in there but some things are not worth it.
It was ok but not a lot of stuff to look at and no furniture
Theres always a great selection of everything under the sun. I have bought shirts, shorts, even shoes with the original price tags. All their items can be bought at a mere fraction of original pricing and you get the satisfaction knowing you are helping our community.
Well organized
Love thia establishment.I always find great deals. The staff are friendly and patient.
Yikes! ...Well first I do support Goodwills mission and want them to succeed, but on this review I have to rate the retail experience, which isnt so great. This store isnt quite up to par with some of Goodwills other stores and other thrift stores. I never seem to find anything here even though it looks large from the outside. I cant really speak to how the employees are as Ive been to this store 4 or 5 times and never really interacted with anyone (maybe that IS saying something). The times that I have been on the weekend, the clientele look and act rougher and ruder than most (including thrift and bargain type stores), as do their undisciplined kids. And not that Id expect a Neiman Marcus shopping experience at a thrift store, but this one has a pungent odor (more than most) and just looks like it needs a deep scrubbing from floor to ceiling.
Binge shopping at Goodwill is so awesome! Love it
Let me start off saying I use to love going to the local goodwills and hunting for great gems in the rough... boy oh boy that has changed! First and foremost I think it’s ridiculous the outlet side of the goodwill start to take the bins away starting at 5:30pm so by 7:00 there are no bins to even look through any more pretty much forcing everyone to exist when they don’t close until 8:00!!! Get this they only do it when the head manager is not there !!! I think it’s unfair and it’s lazy .. I will be contacting the corporate office regarding this concern.
Used to love going to Goodwill. However, now it is nothing but horrible! Goodwill is nothing but All About Greed now. Employees are rude!!!!!
They had a lot to choose from which was nice but I will not be going back. The employees literally are yelling at people to get out of the way. I read reviews before going and saw that but thought maybe the reviewer was exaggerating. NO, they weren’t.
The goodwill has lost sight of their mission. People who were financially challenged used to go here so they could cloth their family and maybe find some cheap dishes. In todays climate the goodwill over charges on almost all goods. 25.00 on particle board book cases. They have a Special Finds section where they charge 8-12 dollars on used designer clothes. And to make it more laughable a cashier always asks you to round up to help goodwill programs. I would gladly donate if they priced items correctly. I also know the goodwill sell on eBay. So much for charity. All donations that the goodwill receives are free. Get back to your roots .
Most impressive here is how the cashiers always seem chipper, even after dealing with a whole line of difficult customers. Its Goodwill, so sometimes you can find something you like, but they dont have control over their stock, so I cant really speak to that. Awesome people!
Clean, large selection, organized...also this location is an electronics hub for Goodwill so there are more amounts of PCs, Monitors, and other electronics that most stores dont carry.
Good luck trying to get a human to answer the phone.
I shop often at this location and always find special items and clothing at bargain prices. Ill give it a 4-star rating! I wonder why they have such a small retail store with narrow aisles and almost impossible to use a cart without bumping into other shoppers with carts! The discount side is huge, which is great but, most of the customers are rude, most dont speak English, and let their kids run around like animals! If thats not bad enough, theres usually a baby crying beside a mother whos oblivious! I try to go early in the morning, when its peaceful and quiet!
Used to love Goodwill... but now its more of a necessity than fun because of tough times. That being said, I just keep watching the prices go up. I talked with a friend in Charlotte and she said that the stores there have better prices than here... in Charlotte! Over the years, Ive watched as theyve quit allowing older kids books be counted as childrens books, jeans go up to about $5 for ones that are falling apart, and many used Dollar Tree items being sold for $1+. News flash, were not going to pay more for a used item at a thrift store that we can get elsewhere for cheaper new. And now, theyve upped the outlet store prices, and changed the rules. It used to be that all paper items (notepads, tissue paper, wrapping paper, stickers) and media items (like dvds, cds, etc.) were counted as books... Surprise! Not anymore! Its a real shame that people who are struggling financially are now having to pay more for used items. Maybe instead of constantly increasing prices, they trim the CEOs pay a little. And also theyre removing the bins way before the store closes so that theres nothing to look through. Some people cant get there 3 hrs before closing, so theyre losing money but still want us to round up? No thanks.
Id give them zero stars if possible. Went there on 4/9/17 and the employees were no help at all! Found two little chairs for the house. Went to the children section to grab my kids and by the time I made it to the register the chairs were gone! I took half the paper off the back of both chairs like I was told to do. They do not go by the rules so whats the use? I will never again in life go back to this store. I really wanted them chairs too.
I really enjoy shopping the outlet side of the store. I love the thrill of the hunt and look forward to seeing what treasures I can find in the bins. And its not very expensive to shop for your whole family.
Theyve rearranged the store during shut down. Very nice.
I love this place
Overpriced for free items.Long lines at register and only one cashier.Everyone else just walking around and pretending they doing something.
I love the retail store they have a little of everything and not to bad of a price. The outlet store is kinda a mess. I went there today and it said electronic .49 pound. I found and old computer in the bin that wasnt much account. My wife got some stuff also got to the front. I ask the lady where do I weight the electronic or computer she said you cant get that so I told my wife put her stuff back also. If its put in the bins it should be sold like the sign said if not dont put it out. Will not be back to the Outlet part of Goodwill but I will be come back to the retail part.
Love this store! I particularly like the outlet side because I save so much more money. Everything you buy is paid for by the lb.
This place is amazing... Priced by the pound with rows of giant bins to rummage through. Ive uncovered many designer finds. Must have patience here as it is huge!!!
I love the option to go to the outlet or the retail store. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would give 5 stars but the bathrooms are gross.
There are two stores here. The left side of the store is lined with tables you pick through and buy by the pound. Its like treasure hunting! We go about once a month, and ALWAYS find something worth the trip.
This one isnt that great. The outlet part is mostly kids and womens stuff. Never really find anything worth mentioning. The one in Asheville is way better.
I went in and in the back there was a sign that said fill a bag for 2.99 a worker told me to fill the bag with one of the gift bags that was back there so I did . We filled it full went up front to pay and the manager told us we couldnt do that because it wasnt the right bag and they were out . I then asked if they could still do it since I come in all the time and I spent almost thirty min letting my child get what she wanted . She then told me no that she would ring up the stuff individually!! I told her to keep it . I even told her who had told me this and she tried to tell me she was the only one there working !! I guess everybody walks around in blue goodwill vest for the hell of it !!! I will not be returning . And I would not recommend this store . If you want to go to goodwill make the trip to kernersville !!!
They dont bring out stuff until there friends get off work,
Very crowded no chance for social distancing
I have never been so insulted.. For two and a half years me and my girlfriend shopped here and always had our own side bags to carry the stuff we planned on buying and have both spent quite a bit of money. Tonight we were followed around and stopped by an employee that claimed another shoper claimed we were switching sales stickers and stealing things. Even the woman who usually checks us out had a smart attitude and told us we had to use carts like everyone else when for two years we have always used our bags and emptied them out for her at the register to pay for the stuff we were buying. We even talked to her a bunch of times before about how theres really not enough room for people to be pushing around a bunch of carts due to the limited space between shelves and shes agreed with us now all of a sudden she acted like we were thieves. Why would anyone go through the trouble of switching a dollar or two dollar price tag its ridiculous. I can assure everyone that Ill never spend another dime in this store and they can forget about getting any more donations to help out their employees....
The women’s clothing selection needs improvement! Found a lot of great home pictures but we’re overpriced compared to other goodwills! Cashiers could smile more too
Excellent place to find treasures and super affordable. Thanks Goodwill!
Great location. Wide selection of used clothing, books, and used toys and electronics. One of my favorite stores
Good location. It is a well used goodwill and sometimes you cant find what youre looking for because the store has been picked over so well
Goodwill ruined my life! I had a wonderful job there and my life was going good. I got promoted within my first 90 days and everything! Then i was wrongly terminated for being accused of false returns without any bit of proof. They admitted they have no proof against me but since it happened within my first 90 days I was terminated! Although the head of security Clarence admitted to me himself he had no proof or evidence. Chandra Gilham the manager of the Goodwill on peterscreek parkway discriminated against me for who I was! She judged me based upon me returning items to Goodwill.
Kind staff. Decent pricing on electronics. Excellent variety and volume of goods.
Retail store is high price for used clothing. This location also has an outlet store. The outlet store is wonderful with many great deals & finds.
Clean store and really helpful employees. I love shopping there for classroom supplies.
Would most definitely give them one star if possible! They are so greedy considering the princes they put on things that are free to them. I mean come on, everything is donated so ANY price you put on things is still 100% PROFIT! The managers in the retail store are arrogant, unfriendly and racist! Please donate your things elsewhere!!
This Goodwill location offers decent-quality used clothes at cheap prices. Their selection of used computer parts is excellent.
Great place to shop
They have really good named brand clothes and shoes and stuff for $1.39 lb
This is one of my favorite goodwills! I always find great things. I was even able to find all the pieces for my Doc Mcstuffins halloween costume !!
Friend of mine always seems to find deals on good laptops and refurbishes them.
Wow! Great Goodwill! Love this one! I recommend you to check it out!!
Good place. A lot of stuff and excellent prices
If you like shopping Goodwill this is one of the better ones. This store carriers used computers......
Want to find a good deal on an abused game system in the bulk center? Too bad! We here at Goodwill have decided to pull all consoles and games to sell online at to maximize profit with no return policy! That Xbox you just bought on a online auction for $60 has a RROD? TOO BAD FOR YOU SUCKER! They complain they are losing money in the bulk center yet they never actually make an effort to carry anything in their stores electronics wise besides literal garbage or what Target has decided to send them out of their dumpsters. (And charge full retail for!) GJ Goodwill.
Goodwill on Peters Creek and like many other Goodwills tend to be cluttered and a little disorganized. Kind of hard to find things. I can sometimes find some interesting items here.
This Goodwill has a drop off area which is really convenient for donating items.
The outlet store used to have better stuff now looks like trash
The retail prices on electronics and furniture can be pricey. On the outlet side it is seriously hit or miss
The staff are courteous and the store is well maintained. Everything usually has price stickers or tags unlike the goodwill on Jonestown rd.
Always such a good selection. I come here and get brand new clothes.
Not a bad place to browse you may find a hidden treasure
I love the outlet and retail store located next door.
Had multiple options for what I was looking for, reasonably priced. Took a while to get a price on something else, though.
Went looking for a chair for my living room and discovered I could buy a new couch for less than they wanted for a used chair. High priced used items and a staff that is rude to boot.
