I brought my Sea Ray to Carlos and his team. Carlos is a genuine & honest person. He took the time to teach me and show me all the things on the boat that I was curious about as to how they functioned. They did an amazing job repairing my boat. They only use factory OEM parts which is the way to do it. They only repair things the right way, no hacks or placing bandages. Carlos was the third mechanic I lined up to look at my boat. The first mechanic never found time for it, the second mechanic messed it up worse than before, and said of one of the issues, Ive never seen that before. Carlos was my last hope. He didnt flinch when I told him the issues the boat was having. I gave him a list of things to look into and diagnose. It is refreshing to say to your mechanic, I think A and B needs to be fixed and he comes back with I fixed A, B has no problems, but you may want to think about C. He fixed everything as promised, and its been running like a top for over a month so far. Its a trek for me to get the boat from the coast over to him, but Ill be taking it to Carlos and his shop from now on for any mechanical issues that arise. Thanks again, Carlos.

I had brought my boat to another boat repair and thru had it for 6 weeks an accomplished nothing. My friends were using Carlos and even though it was some distance away for me I was tired of bringing my boat to rip off mechanics. I had to make an appointment, I brought it down on a Thursday and I got a call on Monday telling what the issue was and that I could come pick it up. They even water tested it! The boat ran great! I appreciate an honest company and will continue to bring my boat there for service in the future! Good work Carlos et al !

Initially took my boat in to Orlando Marine Services after trying to replace spark plugs myself and breaking one in cylinder 4. Carlos (the owner) was very transparent on giving me all possible scenarios, taking pictures along the way, setting replaced/bad parts aside and keeping me posted through text messages with the progress while I was at work. At every step of the process I was able to ask questions and get answers right away and stop by the shop at anytime. From past experiences shady mechanics get annoyed when the customers start asking questions or show up at the shop so Ive leanerd to stay away from those. He had a 2 week wait and it was well worth it, got the job done right the 1st time. My only regret from all this was not knowing Carlos before buying the boat, he will go above and beyond to make his clients happy and would rate his services and skills at A+.

When I bought a new boat, I was living in the Orlando area moving over from Tampa. I’ve never in my life been able to find a genuine honest mechanic, until I met carlos. I looked at all the Marine Services in the greater Orlando area. And was reading reviews and stumbled upon Orlando marine services. Well reviews for anything, whether it’s Amazon or Best Buy don’t lie. Same for mechanics. My boat has been sitting for four years, but the hull transom and motorhead were still good. So I bought it hoping and only hoping to get it up and running again. After a few weeks carlos and the guys at the shop had brought my boat back to life. New hydraulic steering, pumps, filters, fuel injectors, fuel lines, and my motor wouldn’t turn and they got it loose again. I’m grateful for the way carlos treated me in the end. He could’ve charged me more than he did, but he was more than fair with me. It might be expensive to fix your boat anywhere. But if you’re going to shell out your savings, do it with someone honest. That way you don’t walk away wondering what if. Or how much you were lied to. And they were worth the money. they do quality work. I will be back in the future! If you live anywhere near Orlando you should at least give them a shot. If you don’t trust mechanics, this is the place to take your boat. I’m ecstatic to be back on the water fishing again!

There is no better shop in Florida to take your marine vehicle. Carlos is as honest as it gets in a profession that normally has a bad stigma. He told me exactly what I needed to have taken care now and told me what I needed to plan for in the future. I know very little about boats and I put my trust in him to get mine back up and running. He didnt add any unnecessary items, he informed me of what I needed to get done and ultimately let me make the decision on every aspect of the repair. I brought my boat in because it didnt start. He took a deep dive into it making sure he checked every aspect of the motor. I wanted to take my family out that weekend to the ocean for the first time since moving to Florida and I put all the trust in Carlos that he would insure my family would be safe without worrying about the boat dying on me on the open water. Since having it fixed I have been out on the water more in the last 3 weeks then the last 3 years. Carlos and his team really took care of me, got the job done in the time promised. He has earned me as a customer for life. He even went above and beyond when I came to pick it up. We were hooking the boat up to the vehicle and he noticed the wiring was a little messed up and he wouldnt let me go till he made sure it was fixed and I would be safe on the road. Im sorry that kept you a little later at the shop but it is greatly appreciated.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Orlando marine services. I was on a fishing trip with a buddy and we had a time crunch to get a repair done on our boat. Not only did Carlos and his team squeeze us in to fix the problem very quickly but also looked over our boat and trailer to ensure we had a good trip. They saved our trip! His initial (at drop off) inspection resulted in 3 likely scenarios and rough price ranges for the Volvo I/O in my Four Winns. He kept me up to date as repairs progressed. He usually had a couple options when it came to parts replacement and called me to decide which way to go. He is thorough in his problem analysis and explanation to me. I recently went to Orlando Marine Services for some minor repairs, routine maintenance, and a complete detailing. As a first time customer, I must say I was extremely impressed with the quality of work and level of service that I received. Carlos and his team were very friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. We had new guides and new LED lights put on our “older” trailer, he compared the cost for doing that vs buying a new one, once again, he had our best interest in mind, and we decided to update our trailer and we’re very happy with it. Very honest. I bought a boat that needed a lot of work and the person I bought it from was paying for repairs, well that didnt happen and Carlos had already taken the engine apart. I picked the boat up in pieces, because of the issue with getting it paid for. Everything was bagged up and labeled and very organized. He is a very honest person and very knowledgeable. Carlos was recommended by another boat service company as the task to recondition my Mercury engine and recondition my Boston Whaler after both had been standing for three years, was very difficult. I had recently purchased a new fishing boat and needed a trolling motor installed. My wife met Carlos from Orlando Marine services while on a scuba diving excursion. Carlos was very friendly, gave her a card and encouraged her to have me give them a call. I called and was pleasantly surprised when he advised me that he could get me in for installation the very next day. When I dropped the boat off I noticed that the shop was well organized and extremely clean. Carlos and his guys completed the install in 24 hours and I was picking the boat up the very next day. I had purchased batteries for the motor but needed trays and a charger. Carlos ordered them for me and even personally drove out to West Marine to pick up a needed part. The installation was clean and professional. He explained everything to me in detail when I picked up the boat, including maintenance, operation and the invoice for the motor. I even received a phone call from him after I left because one of my cushions fell out of the boat on the road near his business. He found it and ensured Id get it back. Overall I am extremely pleased with Orlando Marine services and wouldnt hesitate to bring my boat back for any number of service things.

After having an issue with my fuel system on my Mercury outboard, I contacted Carlos for some parts which he had in stock ready to pick up and some great advice as well. He went the extra mile and helped me out with a small task that needed a special tool which I did not have in my tool box. From that point I could tell that he takes pride in his work and will go out of his way to make a customer happy. At the end of the day I got my motor running better than it was before the issue but without Carlos help and advice I would probably be throwing wrenches around my driveway right now. I contacted Orlando Marine Services on behalf of my son’s Crew team, inquiring about installation of a console in our coach’s launch boat. A previous back injury, combined with steering the coaching boat by tiller for endless hours, was causing him serious discomfort; and I was trying to come up with a solution that fit into our meager budget. When Carlos realized I represented a high school team, and the nonprofit organization that supports it (since rowing receives no funding from the State or school system), he directed me to a resource that ultimately provided both the equipment and installation at no charge. The initial quote he provided certainly wasn’t unreasonable; but the steps he took upon learning of our team’s situation were the ultimate reflection of his exemplary character and integrity. ….Definitely the type of individual I would recommend doing business with!!

I recently used Orlando Marine Services for annual maintenance and repair of my Volvo Penta equipped Regal 2300. They did an excellent job of keeping me informed of the progress with my boat. My feeling is that they are honest and do not try to pad repair bills with unnecessary work. In addition to mechanical work, they also buffed and waxed the boat exterior making it look almost new. The overall bill was reasonable. Based on this initial experience, I will now use Orlando Marine Services as my primary boat service provider.

I took my 30 Baja to Carlos for some winter maintenance and I couldn’t be happier. The work was done correctly, on time and fairly priced. These are the most honest and competent marine mechanics I have been able to find in central Florida.

When returning my boat to the boat storage facility, as I was pulling in one of the 4 rear tires fell completely off of the trailer. I was able to pull the trailer into its spot on the 3 wheels, but this caused the 3rd tire to flatten as it most likely needed air to begin with. I contacted Orlando Marine Services right away and the Carlos the owner dropped everything he was doing to come assist. He brought an air tank and helped me bring the trailer to his shop safely. Upon looking at the trailer, he realized that all of the other tires were going to do something similar as the bearings were all rusted and it terrible condition. Within 24 hours he had the trailer fixed and all 4 tires and bearings were back to excellent condition. His prices were very fair and he didnt charge me for the service call to come check out the boat at the storage facility and help me there. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Orlando Marine Services and will be utilizing them again in the future.

As a first time boat owner I really was upset when the boat I bought had many electrical/wiring and engine issues. I had a mechanic come look at it and told me I needed a new engine and I wasted my money.Finally a friend told me to take my boat to Carlos and the guys at OMS. I live in jacksonville 2.5 hours away. But after hearing my friends experience with them I decided (reluctantly) to make the drive to drop off my boat. I recommend calling Carlos first because they do have limited storage space. The shop is clean and organized and in a safe area from what I could tell.They not only got my boat up running and every button and light working but did it in two weeks so we wouldn’t be on the shore for the rest of summer.Carlos called and updated me on parts and labor pricing throughout the restoration so I could make sure I wasn’t going over budget. They also showed/explained all the different parts what each parts function was and if there was a problem with something he would show me why it’s bad. Carlos went above and beyond when he made time to take me on the lake and go over best operating practices with me- again remember I’m a first timer.I have never felt comfortable taking my vehicles or toys to mechanics because I’m always afraid I will get ripped off. I left OMS feeling relieved and I 100% will only use Carlos as my boat mechanic . I was recommended to come to Carlos by a friend and let me tell you I am happy I did. I was having an issue with my boat running really rough and stalling out. I took my boat to another shop earlier in the week for the same problem only to pay $100 dollar diagnostic fee for them to tell me there is nothing wrong with my boat. Carlos provided the best marine service I have ever experienced. We ended up needing a full engine rebuild on my custum 18 dual cockpit mahogany runabout. It is an odd boat with a lot of unique design issues but he was willing to tackle the project. He is very meticulous and his attention to the details helped at each phase of the rebuild.At every step he explained what was going on and laid out several options. He kept me informed of all progress and any issues that came up. When we picked the boat back up, the engine compartment looked like new. In addition to the engine he checked and serviced everything from the transmission to the trailer. When we put it in the water it ran like new too. I doubt the boat was as well tuned from the builder.I also found that he does mobile service as well, so from now on he is the only one I will let touch my boat.

I found and like their great service and Carlos, the owner is very good in communication through the process. Very clean facilities and nice store front. So glad we found Orlando Maine, we have called them twice now for some fairly large boat problems we have caused due to our lack of maintenance. They are awesome at explaining everything that needed to be done and provided pricing all along the way. Carlos provided pricing and recommended us preventive maintenance so we dont have to see him as often.We had the outside of our boat detailed. It went from what we thought needed a new paint job to looking brand new. Colors are back and brighter than ever. Would highly recommend. Their new office and garages are very clean and professional. If we ever have a question when out on the boat we just shoot Carlos a text and he always responds quickly.

Its hard to find a trustworthy, reliable boat mechanic and I finally have!I called several other dealers/mechanics in the greater Orlando area and the lead times were 2-3 weeks, extremely expensive and terrible customer service. I spoke with Carlos and he was extremely polite and respectful. I had a tight timeline to get my Yamaha 250 SHO serviced and Carlos promised to meet my deadline.During the service, Carlos discovered an issue with the lower unit that I was unaware of. He went above and beyond to get a part quickly and finish the boat prior to the deadline. Thanks again!

Great service and very good communication through the process of servicing and minor repairs on one of my two boats.They are Authorized Volvo Penta Dealer, but the guy is Factory Certified in Mercury and Mercruiser too and he is great! (Owner used to be a Mercury Master Tech Service Representative for Mercury Marine the factory)Glad to have found an honest mechanic who I can trust by boats to, they will walk you to understand your boat problems and the correct way to fix your boat at the first time.They are certified mechanic and very good knowledge, you got to see their shop, very clean, can eat of the floor almost! Defiantly recommend!

Broke trailer hub on a fishing trip. Carlos waited for the wrecker until 7! Had his crew on the trailer first thing the next day. Replaced the hub and a new bearing - out and fishing by noon!Fair price, honest service. Exactly what you need when you break down on the road.

Carlos is the best in the business! Carlos was the only one that would take my 88 Stratos 189FS with 200 evinrude vro for a maintenance check up. He did an excellent job. This is my first time owning a boat he showed me how everything works and offered to go out with me to show me on the water if needed. I didnt take him up on the offer and had to call him because I couldnt get the boat to start. He walked me thru it and it started right up. Very friendly service and will go above and beyond. For any boating needs or service I will only go to Carlos the awesomeness boat doctor.
