I was recommended Vimar by a friend and I refuse to go anywhere else now! Sam is a great mechanic and I trust him completely. Not knowing a lot about cars myself, I always struggle with trying to head off issues ahead of time or getting sold a bunch of stuff I dont need. Sam will tell you straight up what you do and dont need and when. He will tell you what he sees, but is great about prioritizing your needs. Everything hes done has been backed up by the people in my life who DO know cars, and his prices are always fair. I had a recurring issue with my emergency brake seizing up and wearing down my rear brakes. I went through 3 sets in a year. When I asked about it, he covered my recent brake change as it was still under warranty, and finally found the root cause and fixed it (something two dealerships couldnt figure out when I bought the car). I needed to get new tires and he told me Costco was the cheapest option, then they went and set up an appointment for me and everything. Sam feels like having your dad around who will tell you and show you whats wrong, and make sure you get what you need. I cannot recommend him enough!

My mirror was dangling by wires and my duct tape job was not cutting it. Owner offered immediate to provide a temporary fix, even before I signed off to have work done, and offered to let me drive away at no cost to keep my expense down. Very professional and helpful. Still getting mirror replaced so it hold up long term and using Vimar to get it done!

Ive been a customer for 24 years now, spanning (just) three cars. Have referred more friends than I can count, and I legitimately cant remember a single negative experience among any of us -- but countless excellent ones! A 4.9 star average after 98 ratings is absolutely *incredible*, even moreso for an auto mechanic... but sincerely, its absolutely justified. Completely honest, reliable, effective, quick, fair... simply the best.

My 17 year old son was in his first auto accident and was desperate to get his car repaired as soon as possible. Samir understood that most 17 year old boys are not concerned about how their car looks and are more than likely going to beat up their car up some more before theyre done. He promised he would do the bare bones minimum to make sure the car was safe and drivable and save us unnecessary expenses. He was able to get all the parts he needed and patch up my sons car in only a few days, and at a very reasonable price.. He even put a new rear bulb in the tail light which was not part of the orignal accident or estimate. He was knowledgable, friendly, polite and understanding. Took my car in after a fender bender to get my bumper fixed plus my oil changed and new wipers. The first day I brought it in Sammie quoted me a price and I was charged the exact same price I was quoted. Picked up my car and they did a fantastic job, perfect painting and repair. They actually finished a day early too. I had a little trouble with scheduling but that is just because they get so much service and I can see why. The mechanics, manager and office staff were all super friendly and honest about everything. Would recommend them to anyone and I won’t be going to any other shop.

She went through the trouble of acquiring a cashiers check and insurance for the vehicle just to have him sell it out from under her. Worst business practice every experienced. Vimar Auto Repair is a rare find. I was in the Winter Park area looking at buying a used vehicle. I wanted to get a mechanic’s opinion of the car to make sure I wasn’t buying a lemon. I found Vimar Auto Repair through the excellent Google reviews and called to see if I could bring the car by. Sam told me to come by and he would take a look. When I arrived he thoroughly checked the engine, transmission, tires, checked the body of the car to see if anything had been replaced and then offered to test drive the car with me so he could assess its ability to drive. I was so pleased! He went above and beyond in helping me ensure the car was in good condition and even doubled checked the value on the car to make sure I wasn’t being over quoted. This has to be one of the best auto repair shops in the Winter Park/Orlando region. When I first took my car in here because of a strange noise, I received a call within a day and Sam explained to me what was wrong. Turns out my water pump was completely shot. Sam reassured me many, many times during the phone call that, I cant go any further into the diagnosis without fixing your water pump. I cant. Its completely shot. So, he fixed my water pump and the noise stopped.Back in March of this year, I took my car back to have the wheel bearing checked out. Sam took a look at it and called me within a day and told me that the noise he was hearing coming from the tires was because I had winter tires on there and not all weather. (I moved from Minnesota to attend Full Sail.) I went to pick my car up, Sam hands me the keys and says, Have a nice day. Didnt charge me a dime! I was quite shocked because it isnt very often that you come across such an awesome mechanic.Bottom line: I will be taking my car to Sam and his team as long as I am in the area. He is an excellent mechanic and wont rip you off. I cant even begin to say thank you to Sam and his team! I would HIGHLY recommend Vimar Auto to anyone!

Wow... so this was the best Ive ever been treated at an auto repair shop.The boss came out, spoke to me about my problem, walked over to my car, fixed the problem, and didnt charge me a cent.Now, it was clearly a small fix, but I did a good amount of research on it and couldnt find anything. They could have easily just shafted me and charged at least something, but they didnt.Thats service you literally will NOT get anywhere else in auto repair.

My car died in the middle of the road due to water intake one night when it was pouring down rain. Had it towed to Tuffys on Mitchell Hammock and they told me their diagnosis was a blown head gasket. They told me I should trade it in instead of paying anywhere from $1600-$2000 to have it fixed. I didnt trust their diagnosis and brought my car to Vimar Auto Repair. He removed water from my intake and changed my air filter. Not only did he fix my car in a timely manner, considering how busy his week was, he saved me lots of money. Definitely will be recommending his services to everyone.

I have used Vimar for 7 year for various projects. It doesnt matter what it is Sammy gets it done and keeps the costs low. I have used him for servicing and maintaining work trucks to personal vehicles and more. I would recommend Vimar any day of the week. Oh and I see he has one one star rating out of 40, from someone that give zero detail except to complain vaguely about customer service. That tells me he didnt get the answer he/she wanted and nothing else.

About a year ago someone hit my new car a week after I had purchased it. I brought it back to the dealership & they were ready to screw me over for some scratched paint. Sam fixed it for a reasonable cost & he was fast. You couldnt even tell.

I know from one of my friends experience that they are doing very good job. They do high quality job and the quality comes with a price, they are a bit pricey. Last time we went there knowing what is wrong with our car, crack on radiator, hole on wiper water tank etc. and asked for the price. We are told that they can give a price by tomorrow since they need to check what is exactly wrong. Next day, Samir called us,we are told that it would cost around $400, $150 higher than what the other mechanics offered. We understand that the difference might be the result of quality of the product, but we still didnt wanted to do it. The story begins here. Then, Samir started talking harshly and said that then we need to pay $95 for inspection. We argued for 5 min over the phone then we went to the store. We tried to explain that we already knew the problem, and we just went there to get a price. Also, we told him that we brought him cars before, went thorough the same process, we decided not to fix to car and he didnt charged us. He became more angry, teared the invoice that he prepared for us and told us not to come their store. Also, he said that this is not the free market(how on earth a store in US is not a free market?) and we need to accept whatever he charge us. Ultimately, we refused to pay and after 5-10 min of unpleasant experience, we got our car back. It was very rude and insulting. Even if he is the master of cars, this is not the thing that you want to see when you go to a business.

Ive been here twice so far. Once to get some body work and my back bumber replaced and the other time to see if I could fix my husbands car door because it was bent and causing it to leak when it rains. First tine I shopped around for quotes on the bumper. Irish Mikes down the street quoted me twice as much as Vimars. When I came here, the owner came and looked at my car, gave me a quote on the spot. Went out of town and picked up my car when I got back. Everything looked great. Second time he said he couldnt fix my husbands car door without replacing it, but offered to bend it a bit to make the seal keep the rain out. Didnt charge for the visit and the door hasnt leaked since. Now I always suggest this place to my friends when they need repairs or work done.

You see, every time I buy vanilla ice cream, when I start back from the store my car wont start. If I get any other kind of ice cream, the car starts just fine. I was recently in North Carolina and had to get my car checked for a strange noise happening with the drivers side wheel. I went to a mechanic which was recomended by a friend, but just to make sure they were honest I gave them the number to Vimars Auto and asked that they call my mechanic Sam, before doing any work. Sam called me back and assured me that the work they were going to do was necessary and for a fair price. He also notified me that he would be taking care of the cost as this noise was associated with an area of the car that he had previously worked on. I was amazed that he would take his guarantee so far as to compensate me for this new problem with my wheel, but it is a testament to the exellent standards by which he abides. Thats a promise.I have a 2000 lincoln Ls V8 and it wouldnt stop overheating to the point it wouldnt get me from A to B or A to anywhere. Pepboys wanted $600 for a radiator and labor and wouldnt do anything i asked them to do so i left and went to Vimar. He did a check for free and we decided to do a radiator and coolant flush parts and labor for a lil over $400. I went in the next day to pay and pick up and he told me he did 2 coolant flushes and so much gunck came out of the radiator that it in return ran beautiful so i ended up paying $160. which is an incredible saving compared to pepboys. If my story doesnt convinve you then u will never have a good auto mechanic experience and waste money elsewhere so good luck.
