My family has been coming here for 30+ years, and we have never thought about going anywhere else. They will treat you fairly, price you reasonably, and do great work.

Couldnt ask for a better repair shop or nicer people. Mrs Lee, Bob and Gary are very helpful. My lifted truck has been to several shops that couldnt fix a pop noise. They suggested a fix and did it with several other things. No more pop! So pleased with their work.

The nicest people! They get it done well, quickly and affordably and have gone above and beyond to take care of me and my car. I got off work just down the street 30 min after they closed, so they went ahead and brought my car to me! Definitely sticking with General Automotive.

Bob and Paul are topknot mechanics who can match any of the local car dealer service departments. They inspected my car thoroughly at 100,000 and determined the engine was road worthy as is, so that I could drive with confidence. Just as they said, Im now ready to return at 125,000 for tune-up. The garage is hard to find (no sign) but worth seeking for honest, complete repairs.Note that the negative review from six years ago is in error and should be removed by Google: General Automotive does not sell used cars, has never had a car lot and no one named Tony has ever worked there.

The only Auto Repair Shop I will go to. They are fair with their prices, fast, friendly, & locally owned. I have been using them for about a year now, & wont go anywhere else.

They are honest and reasonably priced; they only fix that which needs fixing and they never up sell.Note: One reviewer gave them a poor score because of the car that was sold to him. General Auto does not sell cars and Tony does not work there.

My ford expedition was skipping from time to time. My local mechanic in Hartsville, SC couldnt find the problem. I got to Florida and it got worse. My cousin who lives in that area took my vehicle to this shop. Bob and Paul diagnosed the problem and fixed it, inexpensively and quickly! I cant thank them ENOUGH!!!!!
