Shop early cause deals sell out quick at this small town grocery store. Pharmacy service is great and fresh local produce is a treat. Staff are generally helpful and friendly.Over all I save money shopping here and am generally pleased with products I buy. Worth checking out.

To Go process is awful.... orders are not filled or substitutes made for items I have found on the shelves when I go into the store five minutes after picking up my order. This happens every time I order. Going back to Walmart pick up.

The produce and meats is better then Walmart . And good selection of healthy organic foods. Not the best place to work. Manager Mike doesnt wash his hands when he leaves the bathroom, Ive witnessed it a couple times 🤮

I understand these are difficult times but the times I have gone to this Hannaford I have experienced a level of aggression from some of the people that work there that I have never experienced before, even before this epidemic. I always try to be thoughtful and understanding, I am not a pain in the neck, I do everything on my end to be helpful as a customer. I am not going to say that I will never go back there because there are things they carry at that location that I cant find at the other Hannafords. A lot of the workers there seem so tense, overworked and stressed that it makes me wonder about the management. What are they doing to their workers? I will go back but I am dreading it. I am very strong in customer service and there have been a few times I have been short with people and I regret those time immensely but we are only human after all but this is more than just being short.

These guys had the best masking of any grocery store Ive been to since quarantine started. When I walked in I saw one person with no mask, and 4 or 5 more before I was done. Good job Hannaford!

Please read!!! Came in at 515pm for my 7pm appt. Checked and was allowee to park in the back until they call me. Got called at 545pm docked, paid 184.00 lymper for 16 pallets with credit/debit card and I should be empty at 7pm. Lady asked me if I qas good on hours because after I get empty there will be no parking on site. There is a small dirt lot 0.5mi N on the right hand side.WHY 2 STARS ???...because for DC like thesw with alot of land and no 10 or 20 overnight parking after unload to take your 10hr is unacceptable in ELD world. In my case I have enough hrs to get to my pickup but 9/10 moat drivers dont and are forced to sleep god knows where after they delivered DCs business on time.Pros: Friendly people, clean bathroom and no tandem,unhook,wait inside nonsense.Hannaford market/Gas station close by to get food or supplies.

Hannaford in Winthrop is the best i have ever been to the employees and customers are so friendly and helpful.

Decent grocery store. Prices are higher than Shaws, but their Clink bottle service is very time saving. Rather than putting bottle by bottle into the machine, you just fill a bag with the bottles and drop it off. My issues are with the customer service and the seafood and deli departments. In the deli, their meats are not organized and are simply dropped into a refrigerator unwrapped. A bad choice in my view. They are not even labeled, so the deli employees just eyeball what meat is which. The seafood department also has issues. The fish is stored in a big pile and there is smelly fish juice that just flows down. Their wild salmon I bought has dozens of small bones in it. Meanwhile at Shaw’s, their wild salmon is cheaper and never has a single bone in my experience.

I shop here regularly. Their selection of sandwich meats is perfect as well as the fresh vegetables, bakery products, and pastries. If cannot find an item, the staff is so friendly and helpful. I really enjoy the atmosphere.

Almost always a good experience. I feel like with the amount of customers that utilize this Hannaford it will need to somehow expand in the future. The customer base is consistently growing. The selections are always good. Not as much as the large one in Augusta of course, but still a good selection. The deli staff and meat counter associates are always helpful and friendly. Typically the front end is full of younger people at nights and weekends, but they seem very good at their jobs.

Friendly staff, nice store overall but the baggers need to be better trained. Many want to see how much they can put in one bag even though there are 2 or 3 more bags available! Awe gee I can’t lift this😕

Love hannafords. They give a good vibe when you enter. They actually care about the customers they make you feel welcomed. Awesome selection of vegetables and fruits and meats. All fresh too.

Very frustrating that I cant find the products that Ive purchased in the past on the shelves. Very inconsistent product availability.

Too many staff employees standing around being oblivious to customer needs. I feel the employees need customer service training. A good model to follow is Trader Joes customer service.

Expensive and busy. Isles were narrow and tricky to maneuver. Descent selection of food. Good meat prices and store brand products. Good check out process, though the cashier wasnt super friendly. All and all an average shopping experience.

Its super tiny and doesnt have a lot of what I was looking for. Some of the freezer door placements and product arranging is pretty jacked up too.

The employees make this store great. The prices are outrageous compared to the Augusta stores. But like I said the employees make this place they are friendly and very helpful.

Good quality, decent prices. Better than Walmarts perishables but not cheaper. Worth paying a tiny bit more to get fresher products.

This store in Winthrop is often out of stock. Discontinues items I buy regularly. Cashiers can be slow.

How did they do it, shrinking a full sized supermarket into the space? With careful planning and a friendly staff who have to work that much harder. As with Maine, live in the area, shop here regularly, and they know you. Need something (in my case the day before newspaper) and it will be found.

Lobster for $4.99 a pound

Selection isnt as good as the Turner store, but better than Jay or Rumford. Parking is tough

Its like every other of its kind, you shop there because you pretty much have no options. The generic foods are pretty good, and they offer a lot of variety.

Whenever I come to Maine I look forward to grocery shopping at Hannafords. I would have given it 5 stars but they were out of some basic things that I needed, and they no longer carry smaller packs of chicken, I really dont need and dont have room for family size packs.

Not sure why they have the friendly older women outside pushing carts and the younger less friendly people on cash. I notice how friendly someone is before I notice if they take a minute or 2 longer to check me out.

The store itself is okay. The parking lot, and trying to get out of it, are why I didnt give a rating of 5 stars. Friendly employees!

I tried to return some deposit milk bottles that I bought there but was told they needed to be returned in Augusta....there was no sign saying that in the store and I am angry that they would sell this product, charge the bottle deposit and not be able to return the milk bottles where I bought them.

I always find what I need, they sometimes have good speacals on their meats.
