Great products, but most of the staff here are either incompetent or not willing to help the customers. I will come back here again to purchase their great products. However, myself as a customer, have to have the product knowledge before I come to purchase it, because I cannot rely on the sale associates at the store. What a shame.

I bought a rod about 2 weeks ago, used it twice and it snapped. Returned to the store without a receipt, Mitch and Bijan hooked it up! I don’t even think they looked up my debit card that was used they just believed me (probably due to i brought the broken rod back.) So i got a better brand rod and they took the old rod price off of my new one! Thanks guys!

Says they have the correct part just to get you in the store only to.. not have the right part. Hate this type of business.

I went in to the Woburn store last week and felt like I was going into building 19. (old discount store). The shoe section was a mess, shelves were empty and just a basic mess. I went there to find some 3/8 dock lines and they had none. I ended up buying some floats and a hat on impulse. Check out was very slow as well. It was very disappointing, the only other shopping option is online for boating supplies in the area. I know covid has had an impact but bring the whole crew in an hour early and clean the store up.

If you are looking for something related to boating or fishing, check this place out first. Staff was super friendly and know what they are talking about.You need a new fresh water rod? Give them a price range and they will hook you up with exactly what you need. I will be back here everytime. Curious about how to catch a carp in a local pond? They can educate you on what you need and how to best go about it.The worst part about this place can be trying to make a left turn into the parking lot when there is some traffic. Otherwise I have nothing bad to say.

Héctor Rivera, the manager in the electronics department is outstanding. Hes incredibly knowledgeable and patient. Will buy here for sure. Great customer support, very friendly.

I have done business with this Company for years. What can I say. They price match everything, huge inventory when you need something fast. Employees are very helpful. As a boat owner you need to know what you need and have the important information if you need motor parts. If your shocked at what boating items cost. You should be riding a bicycle and not a boat. Good products and good people.I’ve done business with the local independent “B & M”. I will never go to him again. I’ll stick with West.

Nice store, has many quality items, but way over priced on most. Staff is somewhat knowledgeable but not extremely helpful. As a corporation, West Marine could use some restructuring.

If you need a fishfinder Hector is the man. A few older gentleman are helpful but the younger bunch will actually avoid helping. Multiple trips into the store and always the same result. I have to have my girlfriend go to ANY department and they help her. You see their disappointment when she walks them to the isle I am waiting in for electrical switches. As a whole associates are useless and will not help. There are a select few. If they are over 40 you have a shot if not you are on your own.

I love this place and they had what I needed in stock but it was pricey

I recently stopped by to replace the shrouds on my small sailboat. Dave was awesome and helped me cut the cables and get the ends swaged. Great service!

I was thinking of visiting The West Marine in Woburn, Ma. store this week. After reading the horror stories about the staff, I might reconsider and go to Boat & Motors.. They seem to have much better reviews.. Sounds like West Marine has some management problems.. Companies have lost how important service is. I for one, will pay a little more if the service is better and the staff seems to like what they are doing.

There store is a mess. I asked an employee where I could find two items and they were not there. As I walked around OBVIOUSLY looking for things, no less than 4 employees ignored and avoided me. Their on-line inventory/stock does not match what they have at the store. They closed off their bathrooms for covid. They make up for poor service and selection with very high prices. Two stores, same thing.

Cant say enough about this location. The staff is beyond helpful. Big shout out to Dave and Mike who have helped me with various project son my sailboat. Many times I have called on the phone to ask question while doing projects and they are always willing and eager to help me out.The store itself is always very clean and organized and never crowded. I always walk in and feel as though Im free to browse and that theres is none of the typical sales pressure you see in a lot of places. The store being a flagship store is also very well equipped and I doubt you will have any problem Finding what you need.

Checkout girl was perfect, but the store was a mess. I managed to find my trailer light in a box on the floor.

They had hardly anything on the shelves for boats &No freshwater fishingSupplies. So I ordered on line & my order still hasnt come in, its been 2 months.

The people who work here are amazing. The prices are terrible. There are local shops that are much more reasonable. Boats and Motors has saved me a lot since I found them.

Called an advance, was told the item we wanted was in stock, drove an hour to get there and they had nothing on the shelf.

While they offer lots of variety in the store the boat paint costs a fortune. $300 to be exact and they didnt even shake the paint right.

Pricey but very well stocked. The staff seem to know their stuff. Went in for a few things for my new PWCs and besides small pwc bumpers, they had everything I needed. I was very happy with my first visit.

Very surprised at how much boat stuff this store had. I purchased a Hydro Flask in a color that I had not been able to find on-line. However, they carry none of the Hydro Flask accessories so I had to go home and order the accessories. With the help of 2 staff I was able to select a fish finder formy boat but they did not have it in stock. So I went to a different box store and purchased it there. One really annoying note, West Marine made it difficult to find the price of anything that was not permanently on a shelf. There were piles of life vests that I could not find a price for without asking.

Bad experience. Make sure you have right components before you leave the store do not take their word for it. Cost me valuable time and extra money and wouldnt do anything to rectify it! Good luck

This place is a joke. Everything is too expensive, and the in store customer service is terrible. Was given a gift card and was denied twice in the store due to fraud on the card. Ordered a few things online and some items took two weeks to arrive. Seriously, theres nothing in this store I cant get in two days and at a lower price on Amazon Prime.

This is my go to place for good sun glasses, because they are for on the water and they cut down the glare so much from the sun on the water. if your looking for nautical gear or equipment for your boats this is the one stop to go for all of your needs for lake, river or ocean. If you looking for a hard to find part go to their web site and search for the part you need if you dont see it online call their customer service number. they will hook you up with all of the nautical gear you need. there is plenty of parking and after you go there across the street from them is the woburn mall.

Phil was nothing but rude to us for the rest of the experience, and we ended up leaving after speaking with Tim the manager who didnt have much to say. Ill be taking the rest of my marine purchases to boats and motors down the street, a very friendly mom and pop type store. Stay away from this store, they do not care about customers. West Marine shouldnt put radios on display if they dont want people to touch them.

I went to this store to buy an item, this was my first time to be there, so I didn’t know where was my item. I approached to an employee to ask for help, this guy know nothing about the item and told me that he wanted to search in the computer, after that he told me that they didn’t have this item...so I doubted and decided to search in the store by myself and found it.I saw another item that was interested to buy and nobody come to help me, so went to talk to the manager and he tried to help, but didn’t not, he best cheated me...this tried to sell me a different item with a price that according him was very good deal and I trusted in that moment and expressed him my thankful, but when I arrived at my home and opened the case I learned that this has cheated me and he believed that was a stupid, I felt that he treated me like a stupid.So decided to go back to the store and returned the item.I felt very bad by the way this manager and employees treated me, very bad customer service.They lost a customer forever.

STAFF WAS TERRIBLE. When cashing out had an issue with the young man cashing me out. He was extremely rude and mouthy, Upon speaking with the store manager she said it was his final day and actual his last hour on the job! there was nothing she could do to reprimand him at this point! not sure about that management strategy and I guess that explains the young mans behavior. Good luck to that kids future employer, not a great reflection on west marina either. Ive been buying boat items there for years! might be time to buy someplace else

Always get what I need to make boating safe,fun and enjoyable. I am lucky to have a local store; Danvers Ma. within 1 mile of my marina and if they dont have it on the shelf I head to the main store in Woburn huge selection and both have great staff.

The staff was not very helpful. I went there on a Saturday, and I dont think anyone working there was over 20 years old. However, they do have a nice selection of boating products, and I will probably be back again.

Customer service is not educated in the products they are selling. I purchased a new fuel bulb for an outboard got the part home to notice that the stainless steal clamps were missing. Luckily I had some on hand. I proceeded to install the new hose and found that it would not pump any fuel no matter how many times you squeezed the primer bulb. I reinstalled the old line and it worked fine. Glad to see they must have put a returned part back on the shelf. Just more time and money spent for nothing.

I called to find out if they had a item in stock, they put me on hold for 20 minutes. Someone decided they where going to pick the phone up and then just hang up on me... I am not going to that West Marine store anymore. They could of handled it way different. I understand that they get busy but your customers should always come first. If it wasnt for customers then they wouldnt have a job. You just lost a customer.....

Large selection, pricy- typ. Add $10 to on line. Hull gel cleaner is amazing. Spray on scum line and watch it turn white (my hill color). Rinse.
