Saw a couple of reviews that seemed to disparage this course. That is entirely the opposite of my recent experiences. Yesterday for example, I showed up mid morning and was able to get on the coarse as a single within fifteen minutes and played well within three hours. Clubhouse and starters are all very professional and helpful. Fellow golfers are respectful of a single and I was allowed to play through when conditions permitted.Another example of the professionalism of the staff: a couple of weeks ago, I arrived to play as a single to find that they had a shotgun outing scheduled. The manager immediately suggested that I try their sister course at the Preserve of Oak Meadows and got me on there within two minutes. Very impressive customer care.In summary, this course is a great value for those who have the patience and appreciation for the total golf experience.

Especially for the price, great golf course. Nice layout, grass, even after 2 days of straight rain they had the place looking nice

Great course! The staff was friendly and the play was fast (1:00p Thursday). Played through a group and never waited again. No complaints. Will definitely be back!

Staff is friendly, pace of play is generally ok. Sometimes there’s outings/leagues and it can get slow, but I generally know how fast my round is going to go by the number of open tee times near when I want to play. It’s pretty easy to spot when it’s going to be slow and if you’re complaining about pace of play, then I think you’re an idjit. Course conditions are generally decent. It’s no PGA tour course, but I am not a PGA tour player. For the price it’s good.

8 Minute tee times at a public course means 5+ hour rounds easily. Up it to 10 or 12 minutes.

A little wet. But the course was still in good shape despite the rain.

Greens are chewed up way overpriced golfed on Sunday got paired up with an 11-year-old no one seemed to care they told me it was my fault cuz I only had a twosome golfer 5 6 times a year never golfed there again good management

Takes 5:45-6:00 hours to get around 18 and we were waiting on every tee.. $68 bucks to play. Either weekend price or pace of play needs to change. What a disappointment

Ive never been here, but this place gets 5 stars for looking like Bushwood from Caddyshack, though if you come here you wont be seeing Judge Smails slicing right into the woods

Staff was friendly, I forgot my mask and the gentleman was nice enough to take my card and run it for me while I waited outside. Course was in pretty good shape as well. The pace........was brutally slow. Tee time at 10 on a Sunday.....we were delayed 20 min teeing off. Round took 5 hr 20 min, disappointing. I know it’s Sunday and it’s gonna be slower, but anything over 4:45 needs to be addressed. Saw 2 rangers, not sure what they were doing exactly, but it wasn’t moving people along

Always a fun time playing here! It was wet in places but there was record rain in May! However, great conditions and staff at check in TJ and Jimmy at hole #1 were very courteous! Always love playing here👍

Course is in great shape. Seems tighter than last year. Better hit the fairway or its bye bye Titleist.

Very well maintained course and solid staff. It gets pretty challenging with a lot of tall grass, sand, and some water. It’s no country club, but it’s a great public course. Just make sure you’re on time, they don’t accept late golfers when it’s busy.

A little dated in the clubhouse but an outstanding value in the Chicago area. Tee times are relatively easy to get and pace of play isn’t bad. There is cart beverage service a full clubhouse restaurant. The only drawbacks are the course layout which makes you go quite a distance through by the clubhouse and through the parking lot to the next hole, which means carts are a must. Also, there is no driving range for warmups.

Very annoying and disappointing round. I played as a single and had my girlfriend in the cart to watch. Starter told us that we had to pay an additional $17 for her to ride in the cart plus a $5 spectators fee. What a joke. Pace was slow, most of the fairways were brown, hard, and dry.

My friends and I golf at Maple Meadows fairly often and have always had a great experience. Pleasant people in golf shop and in the restaurant and bar.

Good variety of holes. Well run by the County. Play it 5 or 6 times every year. But like most public courses in Chicago, the traps are unpredictable as far as the depth of the sand in the traps. So push your club in to check if you’re playing a friendly round.

If youre looking to play some golf and have fun with your friends or family, DO NOT play here. I came here with 3 friends and brought 3 beers (1 per person) and was scolded for bringing them. We threw them out once we realized we werent allowed to BYOB but were stopped on 2 more occassions and asked to see our cooler. They made us feel like drug smugglers. On top of that we were followed and harassed by the ranger on the back 9. They told us we were 30 minutes behind after the turn, even though we could see the group on the green at 10. That group eventually walked off at 15 and the ranger, who was still following us, told us we need to get it moving because were holding up the entire course. Ridiculous. Well never play here again and I wouldnt suggest you do either.

Solid public track that can be a little more difficult than you think. When its soft its fairly long @ par 70. Some harder par 4s in the middle of the course keep you honest and make up for some pretty easy starting and finishing holes. PBR deals are always a plus as well. If the course drained a little better and played a little more true links style Id rate it as excellent, but being in Wood Dale it tends to be a little wet even on its better days.
