Good selection of flooring, easy parking. Pricing on the high side. Helpful staff.
I totally forgot to do this review until now. But- I HIGHLY recommend this place. Easy to work with, not pushy salesmen. Mark was outstanding and I am so glad we did this transaction with Haight Carpet!!!
Jaime and Rafael were professional, kind and fast. My carpet looks amazing. 👌
Michael and all staff, service at Haight carpet and flooring in Woodinville are Awesome!
Nice selection of products & very friendly service.
First of all Thank You! Height Carpet has been such a pleasure to work with through the entire floor installation process at our new office. Their team is highly professional, their rates are fantastic and Their showroom really helped us pick out the right product for our needs. I wouldnt go with anyone else!
This review is based solely on the sales appointment because i was ignored beyond that.inquired about a bid on carpet through the costco program. the scheduling process was very professional…got a call from haight office and a follow up email confirming date and time.the day of my appt the salesman, Travis, was 20+ minutes late with no courtesy call or anything. i let my dog back out and had my toddler onto another project that required my attention when he finally showed up.he brought a couple samples in - all of which were higher end product (based off materials/features, etc). he did his measurements and let him know what sample i was interested. i could see on his notes that he bid was going to be ~$5500 for ~775 sqft of carpet that he claimed was low to medium quality. also it must be noted, this included a “discount” as i have no carpet right now….no tear out or dump fees.i let him know i was interested in something tiered lower as my budget for the space was not near 5500, but i know i can afford atleast a nylon and 8# pad base on other bids. he said ok, i’ll send you a bid in a couple days with this option and some lower tiered options. he did email a few days later but only with the 5500 bid. i replied just reminding of our discussion of other options and received no response.first off, if 5500 for 775sqft is their economical carpet this company must be extremely expensive! second, it’s my hunch that it really was the higher end carpet. what salesman starts low and then tries to sell high? anyway, i just think it’s lack of transparency and companies like this maybe need to evaluate how their salesman follow up with customers and/or how they’re commissioned or else they will just ignore the “small” jobs.
I went into Haight when we were at the beginning of a remodel project, swapping a large laundry room with a small bathroom to have a more usable bathroom. I had been to another shop and was treated very poorly. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, and everyone was so helpful and patient. For the small project we bought a vinyl tile and had it installed, and it looks amazing. It was a good trial for the next project, a complete overhaul of our master bedroom and bathroom. I do not make decisions quickly, and I came back time after time .... after time. The staff was very patient with me, and I felt that their goal was to make sure I found something that I would love. I never felt pressure to decide before I was ready. We ended up using a beautiful ceramic tile for the large shower and floors, and they also installed heated floors. They did a fantastic job with the installation, and it is all so beautiful! Andrey was great about making suggestions to help with our budget, and I thoroughly enjoyed working with him. We also had them install carpet in the bedroom. I wasnt happy with the seam, and they sent someone right out to fix it to our satisfaction. I would highly recommend them, and they will absolutely be my first stop on any future upgrades.
I had carpet and flooring installed and they did such a great job that next time I need flooring I wont need to go out for competitive bids. Ill just call Haight!
I have never been this angry about a service like I am right now.We got haight carpets to remove the old carpets and install new ones in our house sometime in mid November 2020 and we moved into the house in February. We found nails with the pointy side up(carpet tacks I think)sticking out of the carpet on one flight of stairs when we moved in.We thought it was a one-off thing and didnt fuss too much and just hammered them in;but then to our horror we kept finding nails with the pointy side up sticking out. Many on that particular flight of stairs and some around other places in the house. We emailed haight carpets and they said this was unusual and offered to send someone to hammer down the nails. But we declined because we are strictly social distancing and want to avoid letting people inside the house. We still keep finding an odd nail with the pointy side out sticking out.I just stepped on one that wasnt on the flight of stairs and that triggered me to write this review so other people don’t have to go through what we are going through. After spending 16000+ dollars on carpet installation, one expects decent quality work not such a shoddy job.THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE!I have a 14 month old who climbs up and down the stairs and I’m worried sick that he will step on a nail that we haven’t found.I shouldn’t have to worry about safety in my house.EDIT:I understand carpet tacks are necessary for carpet installation but if the existing tack strips were not compatible with the new carpet, why weren’t they replaced by haight carpets? After installation,if the tacks are protruding, the installers could rake a hammer across the tacks to bend them so that they are dulled and not a hazard. This should have been taken care of when it was installed.I still keep finding sharp tacks around the house. And yes, they are present at every threshold and stairs and are protruding at many places.
Decided to go with Haight after looking at a few other vendors. Worked with Vladimir for new hardwood + refinishing existing, and with Michael for new carpets. What drew me in was the open, honest communication and attentive customer service, which I didnt get from other vendors. Installation teams were courteous and respectful of our needs. Would highly recommend this business!
Staff was extremely knowledgable and helpful with making decisions that were right for our family. Installers were excellent! Love our floors!
Friendly service and great installation crew! I would recommend this company for any of your flooring needs.
About 14 months ago Haight installed carpet tiles in my offices. It did not look good at all! They installed it correctly but for some reason it start to pull away at the seams.I contacted Haight about 1 month later expressing my dissatisfaction and after a couple of appointments for them to come look and try to correct the situation it was deemed unfixable.Haight was right on it and offered to totally re-do the job with regular carpet but recommended that we wait until spring/summer. Indeed, they were right on it about 6 weeks ago and I now have beautiful carpeting for my staff and visitors.Thank you Haight for making what could have been a bad experience a great experience with a company with integrity.Jeff Roberts, The Cottages at Marysville, Executive Director
Excellent communication throughout, good lead time, fast and efficient installers. The carpet looks amazing, no visible seams, and the bathroom floors are beautiful. I especially liked how proud the bathroom floor installer was of his work when done. He was pleased with himself as he should have been. The caulking even looked perfect. Randy and Reid were very easy to work with and patient through our 20 questions.
The best flooring solutions in the Greater Seattle region
Very professional, responsive and courteous. I really liked that they have a good selection of tile, hardwood, carpet and countertops. After visiting numerous places, this place felt like the best choice. Can’t thank Andre enough. Thank you Andre and Jessica!
When I asked to have some details taken care of, the representative walked out on me and would not give me his name!
Haight Carpet recently installed new carpet in our home. The staff there were so warm, friendly, and professional. They took the time to explain several different products and gave us a great price in the end. Great experience from start to finish. Will definitely go to them first next time we need new flooring!
These guys did a great job with our home. We were relocating from overseas and were only able to meet with them for one hour. The next day we flew back to China while the flooring installers resurfaced our hard wood floors, installed new floor tiles in the bathrooms and replace all the carpet. We ere very nervous not being there as the work was being done, but when we finally moved and saw the flooring for the first time, we were extremely happy. I would recommend these guys to anyone and know that they will do just as good of a job as what we had experienced.
The team was professional, attentive and responsive throughout the whole process. The results were even better than expected and I am in love with my new floors. You can go ahead and hire them.
The receptionist here is phenomenal! Our sales rep was out for the night and she went above and beyond to help us out. Great service!
We worked with Haight to get new floors installed in our unit. We specifically worked with Vladimir (hardwood flooring manager). Haight was very responsive with our requests, very easy to work with, and even gave us recommendations on floors that would work well with our unit and cabinets. They have a vast selection of flooring that we looked at in their Woodinville location, and will likely have the type of flooring you need! Vladimir went an extra mile to ensure we were happy with the product. The installation went smoothly and we couldnt be happier with our floors in our unit, and would highly recommend Haight for your flooring needs.
Had a fantastic experience. We were looking for new carpet and got a recommendation to go to Haight. From start to finish Randy was great to work with. The guys doing the installation were quick and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend!!!!
They make it so easy... Helpful advice on refinishing options and what to expect in the results. And the results were beautiful. Respectful crews who show up when they say they will are a huge component of the Haight experience.
Walked in and was greeted immediately, which was nice. Unfortunately, she had no knowledge of the product or in store inventory, nor did she ask any of the other staff that appeared to be doing absolutely nothing. I explained what I was looking for and I was told to search through, basically, the entire tile section instead of her being able to direct me to the appropriate area. We briefly looked through the racks and it appeared that they didnt carry what we were looking for anyway. At this point, I wouldnt have purchased anything from them, even if they had had what we were looking for.
I had contacted Randy Ditmars about flooring for my rental house. I wanted new carpet as well as vinyl flooring for the kitchen, bathroom and entry. Randy was prompt, professional and worked with my budget. I had some special requests and he went above and beyond to make that happen. The new flooring looks amazing. The installer was awesome. So polite and friendly. I cant say enough good things about my experience. I will be using Haight Carpet in the future and be contacting Randy!
Typically I am not a big fan of writing reviews, but in this case I felt it would be fair to the person in question to write one.Randy Ditmars is a STAR to sum up. I called him several times during different hours of the day and he was not only quick with his responses but dead on giving the right solution. He gave a clear, prompt, knowledgeable service and was kind enough to go out of the way to share some pics of the stairs project done at his house, which helped me immensely to do mine.I am really impressed with him and I feel he is a very valuable asset to your company and should deserve some raise if possible at his annual review. The installers were really good and did a terrific job installing the hardwood flooring and we tried our best to treat them well as a family. For us every human being should be recognized for their good work and should be treated well. Thanks and feel free to pass this on to the owner of the organization.Note: Randy Thanks again for your hard work to make this project smooth and successful for us.
We recently purchased hardwood floors with Mark V. from Haight Carpet. Mark was straightforward and patient explaining our options and helping to guide us through the process. When it came time to installation there were a few issues that Mark helped us through with minimal cost overruns. I would gladly recommend Mark and Height to any friends, family or clients looking for flooring. Thanks Mark!
Great experience working with Haight and Costco for our recent carpet replacement. Every step from estimates to installation went without a hitch! Everyone was punctual, friendly and very professional. Would highly recommend them!
I looked at several companies before choosing Haight. They had excellent service, were exact on delivery time, had better prices than any comparable store that I could find. I would not hesitate to go there again and I recommend them to my friends. This is not the first floor I have put in and I have worked with other companies. We got a great product at a great price (a cherry engineered floor). I was able to come back to the store a couple times to get trim pieces that I had not accounted for.
I hired Haight carpet to replace the flooring and trim in my entire house in April. They installed engineered hardwood and Luxury Vinyl tile flooring throughout with the exception of the bedrooms where they installed carpeting. The salesman/project manager was Koleton, he helped educate us on the flooring choices available to us and then guided us though our decisions. Koleton arranged the installation schedule and the installers. The installer for the engineered hardwood and Vinyl Tile was Chip, what an awesome, skilled, thoughtful person. He did a beautiful job. I cant remember the carpet installers names but they were very good at their job. This was a large project that cost what I was told it would cost, that happened when and how I was told it would happen. Our floors and trim look beautiful, we are super happy customers. This was a very good experience dealing with skilled, thoughtful professionals.
This is the second time I have worked with Haight Carpeting. They are extremely efficient, professional and responsive. The products and installation are top notch. I would recommend them over any box store any day.
Michael was simply the best. Great price. Fantastic service. They even got our carpet installed in the middle of Snowopolis!!!
I had been putting off ordering carpet for over a year because in prior floor ordering experiences with big box stores it takes hours and multiple trips. I thought, we live in a decent city, there has to be more choices. I looked at a lot of reviews and went into Haight carpet. I did have rough room measurements with me.The saleswoman, Emily, helped me pick out some carpets that were within my budget and the finish/pile I liked. I found a couple carpets I liked; turns out one is carried in stock! I was able to take samples home to put out in the actual light of the four rooms. Actual measurements were done quickly (couple days later?) and the measure guy took the samples back to the store for me. The quote came back the same day and I was able to pay over the phone and through email.Installers were scheduled within my preferred day range (the next week) and they were super. Cleaned up after themselves, friendly, and it seems like they did a good job on the install. We had an area on the office floor where my old cat had sprayed and I covered it with Kilz (aerosol paint seals and dries in like 20 min) and they had no issue with skipping to a different room so it could dry and the pet odor could be mitigated rather than going into the new pad. The one seam looks good and is where it should be.Interestingly enough, the carpet and install was about 8% less from Haight than it would have been for comparable carpet from big box store that I was quoted a year ago. The whole process was so much better with Haight. Highly recommend.
We used Haight a little over a year ago. We had a great experience with the carpet installation sales representative along with the installers. We were trying to get a lot done in a small time frame and Haight definitely accommodated. We couldnt be more pleased and love the carpet.Thank you so much for working with us. It was a time crunch to get the carpet replaced before the movers moved our furnishings in. You were the least stressful part of our entire move.Erica S.
Haight carpet did an excellent job, they were on time and everything went smoothly. Hardwood floor looks great.
I went in this morning only to pick up some tile for my company, never needed carpet or tile before personally. But if I need it these guys are the first ones I will think of, everyone is so friendly and helpful. The woman at the front(who was extremely friendly and helpful) didnt know where the tiles were that I was picking up but went out of her way and did some digging to find out they were in the warehouse. So I went to the back and usually when you go behind the scenes of places you think of grimy dirty place with rude workers that arent very social. But here was the opposite! It was so clean and well kept and ALL of their employees greeted me with smiles and acknowledged me. There was a younger blonde guy(his name has slipped me that noticed me that stopped what he was doing to help me and made me feel important. He showed me where my box of tile was and made sure everything was taken care of before I left. You guys obviously know what youre doing and have a great system and staff!I was very pleased with my visit!
Their installation guy, Vlad, came to our house telling us we had to spend a ton to get the floor of our basement to level. We agreed, despite the price, and he sent his concrete guy over. After a day of work which was less than four hours, he had ground less than half what we had been led to believe he was going to. A call to complain was met with, I never said level, I said flat. Either way, with the grind we got, we would have had to use twice as much levelling compound than originally quoted. We ended up having to pay someone else to break-out the high section of the floor. If youre down for the bait-and-switch, call Vlad. Hell tell you what you want to hear then do nothing like it!
I always receive the sort of service, professionalism, and welcome one might expect when a multi-generation family puts their name on the door. They clearly care about their customers and the companys reputation. The folk at Haight are pros!
Installation of our engineered hardwood and carpeting, purchased at the same time, were done flawlessly. Hardwood installer Stan and carpet installer Dave went above and beyond, and our floors look beautiful!
Ive used Haight Carpet both professionally and in my home, both carpet and hardwood. When the harwood was installed in my home, the installer refused to use pieces that were substandard. When there was a slight problem with a carpet install at home, the installer was let go and the problem corrected the next day! At work, I had them do a very difficult job carpeting a 200 seat auditorium and later, our lobby. Both times they were quick and professional. Randy and his crew have been a joy to work with!
Good old family business that does good work, even with weird situations like we had to bother them with!
Great place to shop for carpet, really good deals.
Pros1. Wide variety of carpet and vinyl flooring.2. Professional installation - no complains about itCons1. Highly unprofessional when it comes to following up on orders. We had to call and text our sales contact multiple times before he would get back to us. Carpet installation was delayed twice due to which our guests had to change their plans to visit us. I know they are dependent on carpet manufacturers for the material but at least have the courtesy of letting us know about the order status or at least respond to customer when they are trying to reach you multiple times. It took me 5 days to get hold of our sales contact after he took payment information - it felt like he ran away with my credit card details.
Everyone was so friendly and the flooring all looks great!
If there was no star or a Mr Yuck sticker option, Id use that instead of 1 star. This company is truly poison and they will cut corners every way possible. I wouldnt wish them on my worst enemy. This is the most unethical company Ive ever dealt with in 40+ years. My insurance company (Safeco /Liberty Mutual) referred me to Haight Carpet and I trusted them with a very critical project. Big mistake as I had other reputable companies that would have charged my insurance company half this price and provided a quality product.Haight carpet charged $14k for a job that I later had multiple bids at $6k - $7k. Ive since had 3 wood floor inspectors I hired to see if it could be fixed and each have said, the entire floor needs to be torn apart and thrown away and shocked by the product. Haight Carpet created holes in my wall and broke the millwork to remove original solid wood floor. I paid out of pocket over $2k to get this fixed. They provided only one option in the dark cherry color previously in the home. (I do hold some blame to Safeco here for referring this job to Haight Carpet and not insisting a similar high end product installed correctly) Instead, the wood panel material is around $2 a sq. foot, yet they charged nearly triple for the material and then removed the two remaining boxes of material after entering my home again without permission with lockbox key code. After a couple of months, the wood floor already has bubbles and soft spots that are up 1.5 inch depressions throughout the house. I have video of my foot lightly pressing down on wood floor and sinking 1 1/2 inches. It feels like walking on drift wood washed up on the beach rather than a solid floor. Not to be snarky, but Ive literally built tree forts with my daughters that have better craftsmanship. I had two full price offers on my condo declined after inspection because of the workmanship of Haight Carpet. With housing market decline, Ive lost nearly $100k in equity, mortgage payments, millwork and now ripping entire wood floor out to have an honest company install correctly.Haight did nothing to address the subfloor, although clearly written on the wood floor panelling it needs to be addressed before installation. They didnt even bring a leveling device or laser that all reputable companies will use. They did not call or send an email regarding the need to use a self leveling concrete or provide an option for me to upgrade the mat under the wood floor. Rather, they rushed the job and did not communicate that there was an issue with the subfloor. I would have fixed it. As mentioned, they charged $14k, yet used the cheapest under matting available. (saved $200 for themselves) When they finished, they dropped the millwork 3/4 of an inch to make up for the difference in material and then used adhesive to the subfloor which holds for a month or two but prevents expansion. The entire floor needs to be ripped out and redone, the flooring cannot be salvaged as it was glued together and glued to subfloor has now lifted up and creates pockets of air. Visualize a piece of plywood cut to dimensions of floor and glued around edges. I requested customer service & help to get it fixed and they fought me for months due to a 3 year guarantee that in fine print limits all of their liability. There is no guarantee. This is misleading. They called and emailed multiple times within 48 hours to get me to sign off that job was completed, but its truly only used for their own advantage to limit any liability for their work. They were supposed to have a 3rd party inspector onsite before sending out satisfaction guarantee, but cut this cost even though its part of their guarantee. and didnt leave room for gap expansion. Beware of their 3rd party inspector, he is paid by Haight. Find your own. Actually find any company other than Haight Carpet. Ive spent this time to write an honest review in the hope that nobody else will go through the absolute nightmare Ive experienced working with this company. Will report to Better Business Bureau.
Great service, extremely satisfied. Keep up the great work!
We needed carpet installed on our stairs and had a few carpet repairs around the house. Jose, the installer, was on time, polite and did an excellent job.
HAIGHT CARPET: It is like betting on a sure thing. Many years ago, I had an emergency flood which a tenant in a building above me caused. His hot water tank blew, and the idiot just left the building. The next day I got there, and my classic car showroom was soaked to the gunnels. We opened the door to the upstairs and it was like Moses and the Red Sea and the Sorcerer’s Apprentice! What a colossal horrific mess. I called the insurance and we stated soaking up the debris. My insurance agent recommended Haight Carpet. My rep Randy Ditmars showed up and quickly and efficiently helped me recover and replace the 20,000 square feet of multiple offices and showroom. It was difficult, but Randy was very accommodating, and the installers were energetic, careful and great. Ever since then, this is the place I call. They have never let me down, even though now they are now bigger.Recently with the local economy, busy as ever, it still only took a couple weeks to get the order in on my home in Preston. It is a big place, nearly 6,000 square feet, and it had lots of nooks, crannies and steps. They French rolled the steps, they cleaned everything after install, indeed, they covered all the bases from Randy to his assistant to the father and son team that did the work. These guys all took pride in their work and indeed took the time to detail. They treat their job like an artist. Top quality but humble and very hard workers. Don’t worry, the price is very competitive. The quality? The best. Communication a plus.Don’t pay retail or to a corporate “big house” store to get a sub-contracted let down. Get the best, local and trustworthy. Randy and Haight Carpet: it’s like betting on a sure thing.
This is the best floor company.selection is huge and prices for every budget
Had A great experience from sales to installation. Ernie came out and gave us several options on 2 of our bathrooms and gave us hiis reccomendation. Today two installers came out and did a top knock job on both bathroom floors. The underlayment was AC plywood and not particle board. Both bathrooms were done in one piece...cutting around stalls, doors & closets to make that work. Ive been in the construction/engineering field over 30 and know quality. Thanks for doing a great job...Much Appreciated, David Croutworst Mill Creek Washington
They are a wonderful, professional floor covering company!!
They did a great job on hardwood flooring installation, sanding, staining, and finishing for us. I would use them again.
Very professional group to have refinish my floors. Next will be carpet purchase.
Very helpful and great choices!
Very friendly and helpful
