This rating reflects the removal of dressing rooms and the return policy. The staff here has always been friendly and the store is kept very clean. Even if you know your size, different brands can vary and sometimes you just dont know if the cut is right for you until you try it on. I recently went and had a few items that didnt fit after trying them on at home. Unfortunately, their return policy is that you must return within 14 days for same day store credit only. So you cant try it on before you buy, and if you dont like it, you need to come back within 14 days *and* have time to shop and find something to apply the store credit towards. Otherwise, you will just have to donate or give it to friends/family and be out money. This adds up over time and if this is where you like to buy your clothes like I do, youll just end up spending a lot of money for a few pieces, so you may as well go pay full retail at another store with dressing rooms and a real return policy. With the removal of dressing rooms, its very disappointing their return policy doesnt offer money back or at minimum, store credit with no expiration date. Sadly I dont shop here anymore for this reason. I will gladly come back if they add dressing rooms again or update their return policy to be more reasonable.
Nice large store which looked clean and tidy. Plenty of everything and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and polite.
The clothing selection is great, but there are no changing rooms. My friend got her purse stolen there right out of the cart and none of the employees seemed to care. I know its just a value village, but the employees are so jaded to the misfortune of others and it really disappointed me. They didnt even offer to call anyone or give any help other than, try checking the bathrooms.
Overpriced, and they no longer have dressing rooms. If youre like me (short, not-skinny) you need to be able to try things on to make sure they arent too long or fit awkwardly. Wouldnt recommend going here until they put the dressing rooms back.
Theyve removed the fitting rooms and replaced them with self checkout. On a good day I might find one item in 10 that fits well at ANY thrift store, so the lack of dressing rooms makes shopping here more trouble than its worth. Its too bad because the staff here is always friendly and the store is well organized.
Literally one of my favorite places to go ever I love it here
Went in for a cheap bowl for my keys by the door and succeeded quickly. Checking out on the other hand was FAR from quick. 3 girls stood around talking to girl they just checked out...Im thinking she worked there. I finally asked are you open...oops...no...turns off light. Had to go to self check and found out No Cash...carďs only...for a $1.99 purchase...not worth the savings. They pretend to be a non profit place but they are.
Woodinville store is my fave! Clean and great merchandise.
I had a really good experience there stopped and bought me some pants and other items and got a discount!
DEALS! DEALS! DEALS! Went and got a really nice basketball for $1.99! @Target was like $30 and not even pumped up and also low quality. Make sure you guys come and look for deals...I will be updating more for Value Village, as I go there, I will post more deals! Stay Tuned! 🤑😊
So this location was great last time I went (about 6 months ago) but this time the selection was no where near what it had been before.. Not only was the selection not great, they raised their prices by about 25-40%. I saw a Walmart brand tank top that Walmart sells brand new for $3, and value village had it priced at $5.49!! It was not even in good condition, definitely not new looking by any means.I have noticed thrift stores in general have been way over priced lately and this location definitely was no exception. Considering that most of the items they sell have been donated to them, why do they feel it is ok to charge so much? I have seen stuff with original store tag on and the store price will be lower then what value village is charging and they are blatant enough to leave original store tag on! THATS CRAZY... Ross will often be a cheaper place to shop and the stuff there is brand new and they didnt get it for free. Just saying it isnt right that they charge so much now for donated items which is why I rarely shop there anymore and never donate to them.
Had an amazing experience, Linsey the front door greater was so helpful. He went beyond to load a table and the heat was terrible. Amazing customer service.
It is quite a value. Got a vest and hat for $7. Lots of self serve checkouts so easy shopping. Clean environment.
The people in the back take the best things home and/or save them for their friends. It happens right in front of the customers. Ive heard them say you have to be friends with them first because they only give low price high value items directly to people they know. Other than that, the store very rarely has anything worth taking a trip to Woodinville for.If this happened behind-the-scenes I wouldnt complain. However, the people who work in the back openly brag about it and hand things off to their friends (entire carts full at times) IN PLAIN SIGHT. It really feels demeaning and makes you want to shop ANYWHERE else.I dont know if this is against store policy but either this location is rife with issues, or its a great reason to avoid Value Village everywhere! GOODBYE.
Love the self checkout. Such a great idea. Big store, lots to look through. Rich neighborhoods = quality secondhand stuff.
The inventory at this location always seems to be lower in both quantity and quality than some others, other thrift stores locally and other Value Villages in the area.
Finally got back here for a moment to pick out half a dozen shorts and a couple skirts for my growing ten-year-old. Saw they have an entire rack of beautiful ladies boots. Need to go back and pick up some for next falls boots and leggings weather.
There was no dressing rooms here which means you have to take it home, try it on and if the item doesnt fit, bring it back. I might as well go to a regular store where I can try it on and not use gas and time to come back. The cost would work out the same or better.
No dressing rooms makes shopping for clothes nearly impossible
Well organized but the new no fitting room policy combined with a poor return policy is hard.
Therw fitting rooms are closed. But you can find great finds for cheap!
I rarely find things a like here, but when I do its good. Thrift stores just arent what they used to be, most of the time its more worth it to buy it new.
Good place to go for cheap magazines. Tried buying in Walgreens, and, $15??!! No way. On a tip, went to VV, and paid .99$ each. Self check out is fast.
This Value Village in Woodinville always has goodies to buy for fair prices. Its huge and has enough room that even if its busy can be socially distanced.Only complaint and only reason no 5 star is because of the smell in all thrift stores, but esp this one. After wash clothes bought from this location in hot water with Tide laundry soap, they still stink like the store.
Nice location. Miss the Redmond store but this one appears to be well ran.
Wide book collections. I buy many books here for the kids.. also donate so much stuff here.
Clean. Very nice staff.
Big, clean, ample parking. This location is nice, the store employees do a great job. However, the only thing that I personally didnt like was that it was very busy, meaning that a lot of the discounted items will have been snatched up if its later in the day.
Large, spacious, and clean! Good variety of items for good prices. Definitely a new favorite thrift store location in the area for me.
It was a good store long ago. Now they sell very poor condition goods and even totally broken stuff and prices are very high. Some used goods here cost more than new! Not recommended.
Pretty good selection, though expect clothes that are in season. Since value village is typically stocked via donations, you are only likely to see things that are in season when you are shopping. The staff here has always been helpful and friendly. I stopped by once during covid and they were sanitizing carts and providing hand sanitizer so you could keep germ free. Overall, the store is kept in good shape and you can find some fun stuff.
Wanted to share a experience at value village yesterday and hopefully warn others before shopping there. My husband found 3 items together in their glass case that was priced individually, was priced what it would cost to by new. They were for fishing and he talked to the sales person who made him a great deal to buy all 3 at one price. I was with him at this time to confirm everything. His English speaking/understanding still isn’t perfect. We went up to pay with our other items, she handed the three other items to the cashier and told him the price for all 3 together was. Got up to the register to pay, I set down my things for my husband to buy, he reminded the cashier of the agreed price in which he acknowledged. I started to leave with our kids while he paid. Walked out and my husband had me check the receipt thinking it was a little high. I noticed they triple charged him for those 3 items instead of the one agreed price. I had him go back in, thinking it was a honest mistake while I put kids in the car. He comes back telling me they would not fix it. And the sales person who gave him the new price was not allowed to do so. I thought maybe my husband wasn’t explaining correctly or misunderstood due to language barrier. So I head back in to find out. This other lady who apparently is the manager told me same thing. The sales person was not allowed to change the price, they could not give our money back. Lied to me telling me their system can’t do returns. Called her out on it and then said she would get in trouble for doing return. All I asked was for them to fix their mistake. They refused. I argued and called her out on her lies. I asked them to fix the transaction and return the money for the extra two charges, they wouldn’t. Asked them just to do a return for them all and they wouldn’t. Iv worked in retail before.. we have shopped and done returns with value village many times. I am completely shocked over this! They took advantage of someone, took money and refused to make it right. This place takes free items that people donate, marks they way up and then tricks customers stealing money. Lesson learned I told my husband to double check each item with the cashier before he pays. If they did this to us I’m sure they have done it to others. They will not be getting any of my donations nor my business.
Good cheap staff
Stopped in to see my nephew and ending up buying a lot of different things had a great sale on blankets I got 2 heavy ones then the price of the dvds i couldnt pass it up either
Great customer service and very good deals
This store doesnt feel COVID safe. They are no longer limiting the number of people in the store and dont seem to really be enforcing masks. I saw several customers without them, and employees were wearing ineffective valve masks.
This is one of my favorite value villages it always has the best selection of clothes and electronics!
Huge, with wide aisles. Good selection of a lot of items. They do have self check-out stations, and the staff is helpful if you get into a jam.
It was very difficult to find an employee that wasnt behind a cash register to ask for help with a TV. However, the employee I did find was very accommodating, very friendly, and even tho the TV I wanted didnt work, I was extremely happy with how I was treated otherwise I would give much lower stars due to having non working electronics for sale.
Great quality secondhand in my experience especially for books, toys, and clothes
No limit on people it appears. Aisles are very compact. Great prices tho
Not bad and pretty clean.
This store is the only one left open here on the Eastside (that Im aware of) the Kirkland and Redmond stores are closed. This store is very Covid 19 aware...the crew is kind and courteous, the shelves and racks are well organized...I was able to utilize their new self checkout with the help of management. I didnt get her name, however she was very helpful and informative. Yay!
Clean store. Items well marked, wide aisles..something for everyone. Reasonable prices.
Absolutely satisfied with their service and prices
Great value village! Staff is very helpful.
Not COVID safe, felt kinda dangerous. Store was completely packed on a weekday and several people did not have masks or were wearing them improperly. Staff had ineffective vent masks that dont filter exhalation.
Goods are sold cheap here.Go here for shopping and spend less.
I love to look for kids books. All the store has good distance between clothes displays. Place very clean and organize. The other two store kirkland and Redmond closedown.
I love this place and I shop there all the time
This store is one of the worst ones. Always has overpriced items. Ive literally found items with the original price tags and they put there price on it for dollars over the original price! Ridiculous if you ask me...
Not the biggest one around, but priced pretty well.
Helpful staff, convient check out and great prices on a wide variety of stock!
They should donate the donated stuff to the needy instead of selling them.
Very good customer service and quality products and such.
The staff was very helpful
Great selection! Clean!
Love wandering the isles. Is clean and the staff are friendly
A lot of stuff thats over priced. A USB 2 500GB hard drive is not worth $100.
Got some great clothes.
Nothing says America like buying someones used sneakers from a greasy teenager in what used to be Safeway. That being said, VV is the only place in the country where you can find half this stuff. Doctor Seuss books written in French. Shirts made out of pineapple. That missing piece from moms cutlery set.We have a rule in our family, everything eventually passes through Value Village.Grandmas at the point in her life where she doesnt even call it donating anymore. She calls it giving it back sometimes even with the original price stickers still on it.Patience and luck are the best virtues when shopping here.
I decided to take a trip to our local Value Village where my daughter quickly fell in love with two stuffed animals without a price tag. I did not think anything of it since Ive bought items without a tag in the past and have had management price the items on the spot in under a minute. Once we were ready to check out the checkout person stated that we were not able to purchase the items because there wasnt a tag, breaking my daughters heart. Dealing with a heartbroken toddler, I called the store and told them my story and explained to the manager that Ive purchased items in the past without a tag and all I got in response was a short corporate policy and sorry for the inconvenience and that it would take two days for someone to price the items (again...they were simple stuffed animals, definitely not filled with gold). Not only is this particular location more expensive than the two other locations near it but the staff are inconsistent with the way that they manage the store which leaves costumers (even those who visit frequently) feeling undervalued.
I had an excellent shopping experience here. The choices are amazing...
Doing a great job during these times. Friendly staff as usual.
Slim pickins high prices!
Good deals! Taking precautions during covid outbreak to make sure customers are social distancing and wearing face masks. I always find a deal!!
Very clean and organized
Ots too bad I got there so close to closing time that I didnt enough time to check it all out.
I visited 2 Value Villages today. One in Redmond that is permanently closed, and one in Woodinville that is still open. The remaining VV is crowded and picked-over.
Very clean and well organized.
Well organized store, friendly staff, clean restroom, decent prices, my only complaint is the long lines to check out
I found a treasure that I was really excited about getting but it didnt have a price tag on it. When I went to the register to get it priced the cashier told me that she couldnt sell it to me and that it would have to be sent back to the back of the store to be repriced- which could take 2 days! I couldnt even put a hold on it so that I could come back to buy it when it was finally repriced. I dont understand why it would take 2 days to price a small item when before the cashier could price it at the register in seconds. There are tons of donations coming in everyday so its not like they are going to run out of products to sell to make money. This was by far the most disappointing trip I have ever had at the store and I am very upset that I lost out on the treasure I was excited about finding.
I’m 14, but we have 6 kids in the fam so money is always a bit tight. At value village I have found shirts and pants for $5 that cost my friends $30! I love it!
Clean, good prices, large selection.
This is a really decent Value Village thrift store. Its generally well stocked and clean. They have some really great staff that work here and we check in on a fairly regular basis to see whats new.
I rolled up to the donation drop off at the back of the building. No one said hi and I had to get someones attention, despite there being 3 cdc people and 1 other person dropping off donations. I gave the donations to a guy who looked drugged out and/or he hated his life. Again, no one said hi and then he just said have a good day with no smile or eye contact. I was not offered a coupon or a tax receipt and there was no mention of non profis
I LOVE the prices and selection... but I couldnt tell whether the cashier was just really unhappy with their job (no eye contact, no personal interaction, repeatedly clearing their throat in that way that sounds like youre dislodging a giant loogie) or if they were just high and barely aware I was in front of them... either way, great Christmas decorations and going to a good cause!
Not as organized as Ive seen with other locations or this one before but this store is busier than prior times with more residents and traffic. Less variety in the items worthy of even going in the store only because everyone has picked through. Either way more product out means more product in.
Fitting rooms are gone. You can no longer see if something fits or not and the staff was rude. Woodinville
Has ways been a wonderful place to shop! Lots & lots of variety!
Best selection, fair prices, well-organized!
I found lots to put in my RV here and have found great outerwear, shoes and vintage jewelry too!
Found a nice blouse
Great value.
Excellent selection with constant restocking.
I was amazed by how organized this Value Village is. Great deals too.
The store smells like an old pair of worn sneakers. Anything that’s not complete unwearable garbage is priced at shockingly ridiculously high prices. You’ll get much deals on Ebay for much newer items. They’re also not a real charity. Only a very tiny fraction of their billion in revenue goes to charity. The rest goes to venture capital investors, and the company’s owner who bought a 21.6 million dollar waterfront property on Mercer Island - with charity money.
We usually drop off our donations here and recommend it. Easy drop off and staff will assist with the off loading. Also they are opened pretty late which is helpful if you are working late hours
I wish people would understand that we don’t get everything for free and that we have to pay our non-profit partner. We are a For-Profit company and the reason we price things higher everytime is because we pay employees, bills and yes charge people 10 cent bags because we need to make a profit. Most of the managers who work there are only trying to follow the rules and can not keep breaking them for customers. Please do keep in mind that abuse from customers is not part of our job and we always try to give the best customer service even if it seems bare minimum. Thank you for reading this post.
Went back to the Woodinville Value Village to drop off donations and the same CDC member who I previously complained about walks up - cranky, no eye contact, didnt even speak to me, offer me coupon, acknowledge the fact that Im there. Just takes my donation and walks off, zoning out like a zombie who hates his job. Somebody talk to this kid!
I would typically give this 5 stars but whoever is pricing this stuff must think this stuff is brand new. Its just not. That being said, its a fun store.
Great thrift store. The employees are really friendly and courteous. I know Value Village has been in the news recently about the amount actually given to charity, but the employees are earnest and need the work.
Dropping off
If you are someone who likes garage sales and value shopping, then this place is OK. 98% of the stuff is what most non-value shoppers would consider junk, but there are a few gems that pass through also. For the value shopper there is a good selection, particularly for clothes, and these tend to be in pretty good shape.
I never leave empty handed when I visit this specific store. Friendly staff but dressing rooms need more staff attendance as it can get hectic and messy fast. Generally clean but of course your gonna have that thrift store smell to it. When people complain about this it makes me think they dont intend on washing their items after purchase.
Great place to buy used childrens books!
Ive only been to this one once so far but I was thoroughly impressed with the clothing selection! Crazy trendy (grungey/PNW) finds
