Dr. Stein was the best! I called in last minute after getting late out of work and his staff was so helpful got me right in with no issues. Staff was very kind and helpful. And Dr. Dan was very informative and also very well educated. Comfortable environment! Also didnit overcharge me like every optometrist.

The Doctor remembered Me and where I worked etc. without Me telling Him anything about Myself!!! My experience with Dr. Stein and his office staff was 100% positive. The person who greeted me was friendly and welcoming. The technician who did my initial testing was pleasant and patient. She explained everything she was very knowledgeable. Dr Stein was friendly and took time to show me my test results and explained every detail and answered every question. I felt like I could relax with the confidence he was an expert and my eyes were in good hands. The lady who helped me with my glasses took time and did not hurry my decision. And Dr. Stein spent so much time explaining everything to me so clearly and helping me to fully understand everything! He was so patient with me too! And the staff stuck around past their normal times to help get me the glasses and contacts that I needed. They also stopped me from choosing a pair of glasses that they told me wouldnt look as good on me as others! They helped me choose a style that was stylish and also looked really cute on me that I wouldnt have normally chosen otherwise! So I will definitely be a lifelong customer!

Recently needing a new pair of glasses I decided to look for a local place. The last one I went to is also local, but their warranty and service was not up to par.I went in to Wyandotte Optical and went through the usual new patient trappings. Their forms are thorough and ask the right questions without being 20 pages long.I was in the back beginning the first exams within a few minutes of my appointment. I got through all of those and in to see Dr. Stein. He started to do his exanining and noticed an issue I had in one eye (did not know I had it either), then explained what it was and how it was going to be fixed. I knew it ar that point anyhow, but he also said that we would wait for the eye to heal before we went any further with eye exams, that way we get the correct results instead.He was very cordial, down to earth and friendly. He is also conversational and will talk to you about whatever pops up about your interests and whatnot.Once I finished the treatment for the eye, I went back and finished the rest of the exams with Dr. Stein and got fitted for new glasses that day. It took only a week for them to come in and the whole process was a breeze. They took care of everything in that office and I felt like all I had to do was show up! They also did a great job of breaking down the insurance coverages and everything else related to that and did such a good job that I had no questions to ask.Everyone that I have interacted with so far in the office has been fantastic and super friendly. If you are looking for a great, family-friendly eye doctor with a fun sense of humor (and a penchant for wild socks) you will be absolutely satisfied with Dr. Stein and the staff at Wyandotte Optical.

This place was highly recommended by a friend...let me start off with this....had an appt at 11:15 was not seen by the dr until 1240ish, they were sitting there talking with another pt about his upcoming trip...i filled out all the paperwork online, when i arrived they gave me a clip board with same paperwork i filled already online then stated that o you dont have vision ins, and i stated i have very good vision ins, check the info i put online...didnt help my son pick out his glasses but luckily i was there for 1.5 hours we had enough time to look ourselves...I was told that dr stein was very good thats why I waited it out...he is good. But will I be returning next year...probably not .....
