A small book shop with a welcoming, home town feel. They were celebrating Pride Month when I visited which was AWESOME for a town like Yakima. We need more of that everywhere! Theyre dog friendly, have a fantastic kids book section and lovely, helpful staff. Id give them 10 stars if I could.

Very cute bookshop! I love the decor and the overall atmosphere. They had every single title I was looking for that day, which some were hard to find online. The staff was also very friendly and helpful in hunting down certain books!

Really loved the atmosphere and the selection they offered! Bought a card for someone I love here as they had an amazing selection, many hand made! Gave the card to my partner and they loved it. Also very friendly staff who helped!

I feel like I’m being profiled every time I go into this store. Most of the staff seem bothered by my being in their store. This has happened every time I’ve gone in (3 times) and happens to my wife as well when she goes in. Such an odd environment to project.

Local bookstores are a treasure. Keep them in business by buying your books from the Inklings instead of the internet.The people who work there are readers, and such a joy to talk to. Very knowledgeable about books in general, as well as something you may want to read and will make sure you have found what you’re looking for. Such a diverse selection of books, puzzles and gifts for all ages. Teachers get a substantial discount. They have events for authors. I love that they showcase local artists as well. And they wrap your purchases for free. They are my second favorite local business after Sub Shop. Thank you for being an important part of my life, and my families life. Hopefully for generations to come.

Independent book shop and so much more. Inklings has a great assortment of books, truly something for everyone. But beyond that they offer a wide variety and a unique assortment of other treasures pleasantly displayed throughout the store, of which are crafted or created by local people and small businesses around the PNW.The staff there are very helpful and ready to assist you in any way.One thing I enjoy when looking for a new book is checking out the staff picks, they often have very good recommendations of books that I would have not known about if not for their recommendations.In addition if your purchase is a gift they offer to gift wrap it for free.I kings is situated in Chalet market Square which happens to also have several other small and locally owned businesses for you to check out while in the area.

A jewel of Yakima. A prized and rare find in our little town. This is my happy place. Super cute gifts, warm friendly atmosphere, they will order anything you need if they don’t have it (also, you can order online to be delivered to inklings for you to pick-up OR to be delivered to your door). I want to stay, my kids want to stay and we both want to buy half of what we see. This place is like a treasure trove for my family. They are a bit expensive or we might actually buy everything that we see! So many good things to say, but Im biased as I love anything resembling a library.The people who work there make my day, they dont even try...they just are good folks. You could talk with any of them, they are like the neighbors you wish you had. And they work in a special spot conveniently located next to another locale I favor, coffee shop.I like their selection of books, the organization, the staff pick, and all the other wonderful little knickknacks. This place is my guarantee to find something for Christmas. They even gift wrap, doing Gods work there.I love gift wrappers, books, and good people. If you do to, get in here!

This is the best book store in Yakima, you have to check it out! The people here are great, especially Emily. They have tons of great gifts, games and books. I will definitely be going back.

Enjoyable bookstore. Employees are friendly. Selection is great for an independent store. They will help you find a book if they dont have it. Parking is close and easy. Coffee shop next door if you want to dive into a book right away.

This place was great. Everything from books to gifts to cute gems in between. Only reason Im giving 4 stars is because the customer service was poor. The lady acted rude and didnt make me feel invited. Not sure if it was a bad day or what. Either way i was an outta towner and sure didnt feel welcome. Everything else was great. Made me want to stay and read. Very comfy.

What an idyllic bookstore reminiscent of days gone by... Warm and inviting, with a vast array of written and audiobooks to fit anyones taste and genre. Theres also an inviting and ample display of childrens books, paper crafts, and paper dolls, complete with an overstuffed reading chair. Cards, stationery, and various small gifts round out the selection and entice additional shopping. To add to the appeal is a coffee shop next door where you can break in your new book.

I picked up a book that looked like something my daughter would like to read. It was book three in a series and they were able to quickly order the first book for me, which Amazon didnt even have. It arrived within two days.

This bookstore is a gem in Yakima. They offer complimentary gift wrapping all year round. They have an excellent selection of books, games, toys, and other gifts. They are happy to order anything they dont have in stock.Theyre also located next to an excellent coffee/wine place, the snow cone stand, and a candy store. Theres a grassy spot out front for kids to play. And their storytime is so fun for littles. Its become one of my favorite places in Yakima!

A little heavy on the gifts and knick knacks but they had some interesting books and some good selections for outdoor and kids stuff. I visited all three bookstores in Yakima searching for Danny The Champion of The World for my kids and came up empty. This was my favorite stop.

A small independent book shop with a good selection of books including childrens books, sci fi/fantasy, non-fiction, cookbooks, politics, religion, and travel. They have some awesome literary-themed gifts, too! Definitely worth browsing! :)

Its nice to have an actual book store around. Plus they have upper end quality gifts for a mom or dad.

When in a pinch for the bookworm in your life, it will cost you, but friendly staff and inviting environment will make it bearable.A fireplace to read a book while customers peruse the store can be found inside the door, overpriced (2.5x+ cost) on trinkets, and messy shelves definitely litter this quaint store.Narrow isles make it impossible to be disabled and enjoy the store; cost of the items they do seem to have makes you think twice about what you came in for, because though they have a lot of cool stuff, they must be buying one thing off Amazon at a time, because they are passing every penny of their cost to the customer in their markup.

Good selection. However, it seems to be a bit on the high falutin side. Yakima is not the hot dont if Avant Garde bookstores but they try to do so there. I go there but only do so because they are the only game in town.
