Friendly, helpful staff and well stocked to boot. Well kept store with plenty of space to maneuver and well marked aisles for locating items.

This is my favorite store in the world! The employees are so nice and helpful. The pride in ownership shines through.

I go to Steins because its close to my house. The people there are not very friendly including the Manager or Owner. The last few times that I have been there Michael was very helpful. Very nice. And I didnt even ask for help. What a breath of fresh air.

I went to Steins Ace Hardware today to have a propane bottle refilled.A young man, Jace, came out and filled the tank. Had a nice chat while we waited. When i went to pay i discovered my wallet was missing. Jace offered to pay my $13.00 + bill so I could be on my way. And he did. i did go back and reimbursed him.BUT what service, What a generous young man. Parents nice job raising your son. Steins keep this guy around.Unbelievable!!!

Staff is very knowledgeable, kind, and seem to take a genuine pleasure in helping ignorant folks like myself out. The best hardware store in town by far, their outstanding service has earned them my business for life.

Its a great store to get all your supplies for your home or farm, they got a lot of varieties. It depends on the employee you get some are very professional and knowledgeable but....when you get these high schoolers with no management looking over them they forget they are working a store and not in school. I was checking out and the two young cashiers were not paying attention to me and were just playing around with a young male employee. The cashier hand me my small bag of hose clamps upside-down and they fell on the floor, she didnt realize because she was still paying attention to the young men until we had almost picked them up. She finally noticed and she finally helped look for the last one. We were leaving and the two you g cashiers were still not being professional with the other customers.

I usually get great customer service when I walk in the door. It was the first time since the business was remodeled and the check out stations were moved.I like it better but you may need someone posted where the checkout stations used to be to greet the public and direct them to which isle things are located.

I went into Steins hoping to find a on and off valve to control how much water runs on my Hostas. They were most helpful answering my questions, even bring over another person to confirm that I had the right parts. They were great!!

It’s a very good story to go to well ranged all new inside as far as finding everything spacious are used to be crowded and hard to get to things now it’s easy check out sounds very nice people are always helpful and we can pretty much find anything you want thank you

My favorite hardware store. They have everything I need without having to walk around a huge store. They are remodeling right now but it was still easy to find exactly what I needed. I love that it’s in west valley too, so I don’t have to drive into town to pick up hardware or tools.

My washer flooded my laundry room and I looked online to see where I could get a wet/dry vac. I saw on their website they had one, drove there and was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The gentleman that helped me carried it all the way to my car! Very good service!

Only 1 cash register operating. So, line backed up about 3 deep...First time in this store. Therefore, had to become familiar with the layout of where their items were placed. Didnt seem like anyone around to ask/seek assistance from.Definitely appeared clean.

I love the fact the store is clean, orderly and easy to move around in spite the pandemic we are in. I also love the fact they were also the first to enforce the State Mandate of wearing masks. Makes me feel SAFE!!!

We have come here many times for paint, tools, electrical supplies, plumbing, little screws and bolts and many things in between. Each time they have been courteous, knowledgable and helpful in finding exactly what we need for all our projects. Cant recommend anywhere better.

The staff is always helpful pretty knowledgeable about whatever it is I am working on. The rewards program is cool because you get coupons. They have pretty much everything the big stores have but it is soooo much easier to shop here than the big stores.

This is the best (and I think only) option for hardware on the west side of Yakima. Steins has long been a foundation in the area and strives for the small customer oriented feel. They certainly deliver on that!Steins has a decent selection of basic items that you would expect at a medium sized hardware store. No, they probably dont stock that obscure part for your project, but they have all the basics plus some. Their fastener (nails, screws, bolts, etc.) options are fantastic and rival that of the major big box hardware stores. Even better, they have an option to purchase nails by the pound which allows you to buy the right amount of nails for cheap! This is my favorite feature of the store! Since it seems like I always need a nail thats 1/4 longer than any that I have, this is great to have nearby.I give this place 4/5 stars because the lumber area is pretty lacking. Theyve got some plywood options and basic dimensional lumber options, but its marginal. I dont expect a major indoor lumberyard, but I wasnt impressed by what I found. I did find a good sheet of plywood, but it took a little searching.The hours on Saturday and Sunday also leave something to be desired. Theyre open until 8am-6pm on Saturday and 9am-4pm on Sunday - which is opening 2 hours later and closing several hours earlier than the big box store. Theyve lost a LOT of my business simply because they arent open.Prices are definitely a bit more than the big box stores, but there is almost always someone asking you if they can help you find what you are looking for. Ill pay a tad extra for local and service. This is a great option in West Valley for your hardware needs. For fasteners, there arent many better options around!
