I have worked with Diesel Tech on about 4 different engines...in my case all gasoline powered. Honestly, the guys there are great to work with and know their stuff about engines. But like another said, Big Industry takes first priority, because that is really what Diesel Tech is here for. Great work, top notch, but know that they remove all expansion plugs, and you have to put them back in before you rebuild the block. ;)For the cost, the expertise, and the quality of work that I have received, I have never had a complaint with Diesel Tech. I also take my time when rebuilding things, and so I am not really in a rush either.

Review №2

Full short block rebuild requested on a 5.9 Cummins 24V. Ended up getting the short block 3 months after dropping it off. Head work was also done, but upon startup developed a fuel leak off the head. Ended up being a soft plug they mistakenly popped out of the fuel galley. Led to many cold hours tearing the front of the motor apart trying to find the leak (originally thought to be coolant) and replacing a water pump. Sam was helpful diagnosing the leak as he had another 24V head on the floor to look at. Even offered up a couple spare soft plugs. Unfortunately NAPA provided the plug needed for a whole 76 cents. Communications is a major issue however. While waiting for the short block around the 2 month mark I was told countless times, its almost done, then itll be done on this date... unfortunately none of this was true and kind of misleading. I went in and found they hadnt even started on the block machine work. A month later it was finally done. Like the people, but unless your sending industrial products in, I would search for another competent shop locally.
