Exceptional. Properly good espresso and a really nice oat milk latte. They dont do dairy milks but nor do I so not a biggie there. Some nicely thought through roasting techniques. There are few places in North America where Ill order an espresso with confidence, this is one of them :) Well worth a visit and certainly will be my goto now when Im in Redlands/Yucaipa.
Nice to have another coffee spot in town. It is a bit dark and echoey at the moment and I’m looking forward to seeing further improvements in decor. Friendly and helpful staff. Coffee is good but not excellent, and compares favourably with other cafes in the area.
Stopped by to give this place a try & I am impressed. Love the interior, the prices were great, the customer service was amazing and the coffee was delicious. We tried 3 different cold drinks & we loved each one. My daughter had a pumpkin pie latte & it tasted exactly like a pumpkin pie. I had a cold brew w/vanilla, it was strong but with the right amount of sweet. We also tried a latte w/golden spice & it tasted like fall in a cup. We will definitely be back.Tip: Google maps isnt very trustworthy when it comes to this place so just know that its behind the Rosies & before the 7/11 at the bottom of Yucaipa Blvd.
Amazing staff and delicious coffee! Oat milk lattes from this place are my new favorite thing. A very comfortable and lovely place with relaxing lighting and kind people! 10/10 would recommend
Hearthwood is a new coffee shop in Yucaipa and let me just say everything about this place is perfect! Their coffee is better than anything Ive tried in Yucaipa and their customer service was great + orders were out quick. Theyre one of the few places Ive been to that has all four options of coconut, oat, soy and almond milk for their coffees. These milks dont taste any different from regular milk and in my opinion, they actually taste way better! I ordered the iced oat milk latte and it was the best coffee ive had in this town for awhile. They also offer sandwiches, bagels, donuts, tea, hot cocoa, etc. And not to mention the overall atmosphere of the shop is great! Theres a succulent garden in the middle of the shop and plenty of space for seating. When I went they also had various artists and their artwork on display and some for purchase. Yucaipa definitely needed a new shop like this, keep doing what youre doing Hearthwood!!
Hearthwood is an awesome coffee shop! Everything I have gotten so far has been amazing and all the employees are incredibly nice! Will definitely be going back regularly.
Hearthwood is hands down one of the best coffee shops I’ve ever been to! The atmosphere there is great and very calming in my opinion. They have a small succulent garden in the middle of the shop that is so cool! You can tell a lot of hard work and time went in to this shop. Their coffee and teas are also delicious! When i went I got the Cucumber Punch Tea, which is on their summer menu, and it was amazing! I also tried the Hella Hibiscus Tea which was equally as good! Their coffees are also top tier and probably the best quality I’ve ever had. They also proudly only serve Oat, Soy, Cocunut, and Almond milks to go in your coffee, which is incredible! These milk alternatives create a deeper flavor which is overall better than regular milk in my opinion! The owners and staff are very knowledgeable and it is quite clear that all of them enjoy what they do and know a lot about it, which is great in my case because most times I have no clue what to get. Anything they recommend I firmly believe will taste amazing, and it always does! Overall I highly recommend this shop and it will definitely become my regular spot to get coffee and tea!
This place is definitely my favorite coffee shop in the area!! The aesthetic of the coffee shop itself is beautiful, the sandwiches are delicious, the owners and employees are so friendly, and of course the coffee is amazing! Highly recommend!!
Wonderful place and wonderful people! Would definitely recommend a trip here if you’re in the area. Atmosphere is friendly and bright. :)
This is a must for anyone looking for a unique coffee experience... With a personal touch from owners who have a Passion for their craft.
Very good service. Coffee B+. Very comfortable space. Like (👍👍👍) organic coffee and food offerings.
The coffee was delicious. The inside has real hip vibes that creative people might appreciate.
Delicious cup of coffee, make sure to have some oat milk with it for a bold smooth flavor! I will be coming back to this place for years to come! Support local business before the big corporations!
Dont pass this one up a little hidden but well worth the search. #shop local #local coffee roasters #great coffee #heartwood yucaipa coffee
Perfect place to have a meeting small 1-2-1 up to 20 people. Staff is nice, coffee good, perfect for temporary work space because tables good size.
Ive been looking forward to getting to visit this for over a year. The wait was more than worth it. Ill be here all the time
Fast, good music and delicious coffee. Great place to just chill.
If getting coffee in a dark, musty, LA concert venue is your thing, Hearthwood Coffee Roasters is for you.I was willing to look past the obviously unfinished cave like ambiance to enjoy a great Latte. The idea of small batch coffee is new to me, and one other shop in the area uses their beans (Chai). Already being acquainted with their roasts I was curious to try the source. As I mentioned earlier the shop is black.... like really really BLACK, even at high noon. Ive seen black designs done really tastefully, and even with my challenged design eye, this was not.I went to order and ordered my go to, small hot latte. I was then informed that they will not make any drinks with milk. He assured me it would taste great with oat milk, and that it was a big hit with customers. The flavor was not even close to something I would enjoy. The texture was not smooth, and really polluted by the oat milk. Saying I was not impressed would be putting it extremely lightly.I totally understand trying to have a strong vegan or vegetarian influence in the food industry. I myself was raised as a vegetarian. But are you selling coffee or just alternative milk products. Business is business, and the large majority of coffee consumers are going to want milk products to compliment their coffee beverages.I just jumped in my car and Im heading to Augies for a real latte. I was excited for a new coffee shop in my neighborhood, and love supporting local business, but this place is a joke.
My husband and I went to check out their grand opening and we were immediately greeted with dark paint and unfinished decor which contributed to an overall grungy-feeling room. We were excited to support a new local business, so we gave them the benefit of the doubt as it was their grand opening. We ordered 2 hot lattes and when the barista asked what kind of milk we would like, we pleasantly said whole milk, which we order in every other coffee shop. He said they did not have milk and gave us four other choices: almond, oat, coconut and soy milk. This immediately turned off my husband so he did not order a latte after all, but I decided to try the oat milk after the barista suggested it. We got our one latte and it looked good. However, oat milk completely ruins the taste of espresso. It tasted like dirt and I couldnt even taste the espresso, which was upsetting because they are a roaster first and foremost. We gave back the latte and the barista said oh, you dont want it? and we told him that the oat milk was not good. He didnt offer to make us something else or give us a refund. Goodbye $5.39, what a waste. We will not be returning and neither should you if you actually want cows milk in your drink.
Excellent coffee, right off the freeway! Not to far in town to be a locals only spot!
Yucaipa has some contenders for cafés, and Hearthwood Roasters is the first established roaster you will find locally with very friendly and knowledgeable baristas. They offer various small batch coffee roasts, espresso, lattes with alternative milks, cold brews, teas, cookies, muffins and sandwiches. I am a coffee aficionado- so I mainly order coffee. The quality of the coffee is on par with Augies and even better than Wildgoose Roasters in my opinion. I personally enjoy iced Americanos and trying the different cold brews and pour overs. An iced Americano is absolutely refreshing on these hot summer days.
VISITED HEARTHWOOD COFFEE ROASTERS DURING THE GRAND OPENING! I THINK THEY ARE DOING A GREAT JOB & LIKE ANY OTHER NEW BUSINESS IT’S JUST TRIAL & ERROR...I THINK THIS PLACE CAUGHT YUCAIPA BY SURPRISE...SOMETHING NEW & HIP...PLEASE KEEP AN OPEN MIND YUCAIPA! THIS PLACE IS VEGAN PPL...WHICH NOWADAYS IS NOT OUT OF THE ORDINARY! THE VEGAN COMMUNITY IS GROWING DAILY! PLEASE KEEP IN MIND ALTERNATIVE MILKS ARE NOT CHEAP SO EXPECT TO PAY A TAD MORE FOR DRINKS! I AM NO WHERE NEAR VEGAN BUT TOOK A FRIEND FOR A DRINK...EVERYTHING WAS VERY TASTY! ONE MUST NOT DISCOURAGE OTHERS FROM VISITING THIS ESTABLISHMENT BASED ON NOT HAVING “REGULAR” MILK....IF ONE REALLY WANTS TO TASTE THE ESPRESSO OMIT THE MILK ALTOGETHER (JUST SAYING). I FELT COMFORTABLE & WELCOMED HERE & WILL FOR SURE BE RETURNING!!! KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ALL ARE DOING! JUST LIKE YOUR SISTER CAFE CHAI...VIBES BABY VIBES!!!!!
Great service! They have an art wall that shows local artists works.
Got a swift kick in the face. It was just what I needed.
This is my favorite place on earth :)
I dont always drink coffee but when I do I drink hearthwood coffee.
