Called them twice for parts on short notice they had both on hand and were reasonably priced. Very pleased with the customer service I got. Ill definitely be back. Thanks
Friendly Service
These folks are very helpful. The prices are a little more than online, but thats expected and they are certainly reasonable. The staff is very knowledgeable, kind, and even opened the store on a saturday just so I could come in to pick up a part (at the time they didnt open on saturdays, not sure if thats still the case). I highly recommend this place if you are looking for help on any part of your boat.
Found a nice looking boat at a decent price on Craigslist and emailed (as there was no phone number) to ask a few questions. Simple enough, right? Megan was the persons first name and I kept asking it this boat was at a boat dealers and if so did they have a website I could go to? This person would NOT tell me?? Finally I decided it MUST be a scam, a real boat seller would overload you with info and I flagged the ad. It took me a while but I found out THIS is the place the boat was for sale at. WHAT THE HELL?? WHY wouldnt she simply tell me that instead and being weird and rude? WHY wouldnt she say sure heres our website give us a call and we will be glad to talk? When I sell things on Craigslist (and I do) I try to be helpful and give all the help I can to the buyer. I dont know who this Megan person is but if I were the owner I would certainly send her somewhere to learn customer service skills.
The service is very honest and personal. Phone calls are always returned. Special appointments can be made. Nice staff.
I called the Sportsman to get pricing and possibly schedule an appointment to get my boat winterized and the oil changed. I talked to a guy I believe his name was Dustin. He told me what i wanted done is usually $150-200 and the very Highest he has ever seen was $250. I told him I can live with that range even though $250 would be high and he told me again that hes only seen that one other time, so i made an appointment for the following Monday. After the boat was done i was handed a bill for $366! The old guy at the counter said if i was quoted different i was quoted wrong and never did call the employee up to check as i asked, he just said the bill is what it is and refused to take any responsibility for the issue or work with me on the price claiming this was the going rate in town. The actual going rate in town for this service is around $200 and after talking to others i find out that this is a normal practice they use so boaters beware.
Excellent service
