We were traveling from Colorado back to Austin and stopped by for a coffee and what a wonderful find. Fabulous remodel of a warehouse space with a great front porch. Loved the bagel bites and the iced chai latte was tasty! Lovely staff.

I had never been in before, but it was late and I needed a pick me up! The red headed girl at the register was super nice and helped me decide what to get. She did the best latte art and was so excited and proud of it. It made me feel like this place puts a lot of love and care into their coffee! I will definitely be back!

OMG you have got to try this place. The atmosphere was just so refreshing and the coffee was wonderful. Fast friendly service. Great food and good prices. What more could you ask for.

Best breakfast in Abilene! My favorite is The Westie- warm biscuit with egg, Havarti cheese, thick slices of bacon, and the sweet spiciness of jalapeño jelly! Scrumptious.With a refreshing, inviting atmosphere, and lots of room, Front Porch has become my perfect place to meet friends.

I come here a few times a month for various meetings, and people sometimes ask if I have a special sponsorship deal with them. Nope! Front Porch Coffee just has the best space and coffee to fit my needs for various occasions! Especially if youre having a meeting or informal gathering with more than 4 people (and less than 20) or need a STRONG, flavorful coffee, this is absolutely the place to be! There is always a ton of people studying and having meetings, along with families, and individuals, so its never awkward to go in and just hang out or converse as needed. But its also generally not too loud, either. The espresso and other coffee beverages are seriously STRONG, though, so be warned!

Large open seating space with outdoor seating available. There were a nice variety of baked goods, hot items (including toasts and biscuits and gravy) and hot and cold coffee drinks on the menu. We went with their Smoothie Bowls which were tasty and hearty. The coffee drinks were nicely brewed and tasty. They have alternative milks available as well as dairy free and gluten free options. The staff is masking and there is plenty of space to socially distance until the pandemic quiets down. They should be on your short list. They arent open before 8 AM on weekends though which is a bit surprising.

Wow this has to be the best blueberry muffin Ive ever had. my cappuccino was also perfect. I had planned to leave a five-star review based on the other post who only gave one star but didnt try any of your food. five stars totally earned!

The Front Porch had delicious breakfast food. Super friendly staff. The owner came out and checked on our order and was so charming. Great atmosphere and menu had lots of choices. We tried both smooth bowls and they tasted fresh and sweet. Both breakfast sandwiches are amazing too. Wish they sold their jalapeño jelly to take home. Worth driving into Abilene for breakfast!

Nice chill spot to relax and hang out. Good coffee and small meals/snacks to keep you satisfied.

Would 100% recommend getting your brew from here. Highly recommend their specialty drink the lodge plus extra shot of espresso! Quick service and friendly staff. Didnt have time to eat here but Ill be back to try the mixed berry acai bowl!

Love this place. Their light roast Ethiopian was exceptional and the specialty drinks I’ve tried here are great. The owners have done a great job at pulling modern elements into a historic space with ample room and ambience for conversation or studies.

I usually love this place so much, but I walked in at 12:40 today and ordered 1 drink. I was in a rush for work so I had to leave by 1:00. It was 1:02 and my half made drink was sitting at the counter and was still not ready. I usually give a lot of grace because this place is mostly really busy but today there wasn’t a line the whole time I was there and there was no one at the front making any drinks. I had already paid $7.11 for my drink and had to leave because I was already late. I definitely should of said something beforehand but I also didn’t think my drink was just going to sit there. Still 5 stars because I love this place.

The atmosphere was chill. The two workers were super nice and helpful. If youre looking for a locale to study or just zone out from the din of Abilene, this is the spot. If youre in search of a place to hang out with friends or youre wanting to try out a new Abilene coffee shop, give this one a shot! There are so many places to hang out in this building. It may not look huge on the outside, but once you go in, you realize how vast FP is. Ive only been once, but Ill definitely be returning!

Very promising look was very excited to order what I would have assumed would have been a great cup of coffee!! Unfortunately the young redhead teen working the counter left much to be desired in customer service as she left me feeling overall as if I was wasting her time from flirting with the tall blonde young man she spent the majority of her time talking to, plus not to mention the fact she seemed a few puffs short of a complete overdose but if burn out was her intended look than bravo young lady mission complete. I have had nearly everything on the menu as far as food goes and don’t think there is anything I don’t love! The sweet and southern is so good and I love the chocolate ganache cake for a sweet date night dessert. Also. The drip coffee is the best in town by far! And don’t even get me started on the delicious lattes!

Iced Coffee seemed flat. I also had the Breakfast sandwich which the bread used sucked all the flavors from the sandwich. Good customer service and great atmosphere. I will give it another try.

This coffee shop is incredible! They have great food, an awesome atmosphere, and amazing coffee! The staff there is so kind! Kristen greeted us with a warm welcome and smile. She was so sweet and gave amazing recommendations! I love all the exposed brick, tile work and wood accents. I will be back often! Way to elevate Abilene, Front Porch!

Stopped on the way through the town and got an oat milk cinnamon latte and avocado toast (makes me sound very millennial haha). Service was so nice and knowledgeable for my food allergies. Food and drinks came out quickly. Very cute I side and some porch seating. Clean bathrooms.

Went for breakfast with a friend thursday morning. i had previously stopped another day, but the line gets pretty long to put in an order and i didnt have time to wait. not the place to go if u are short of time.i had a cup of brewed columbian coffee. it was an enjoyable cup of coffee. the green chili quiche was very nice, good flavor, etc. my friend also had the quiche and enjoyed it. we then split a cinnamon roll. it was not cooked enough and fairly doughy in the middle. the roll was pricey to begin with and then the pumpkin icing itself was an extra $.50. i was a littlie surprised at that. we ended up throwing away half of it. i did get a small break on the price with the rewards i earned. that was a really nice surprise .atmosphere was lovely sitting outside.i really enjoyed that part. inside was alittle chilly for my taste. i lord thumb havent decided if i will goback or not

If you find yourself in Abilene, TX, this is by far the best coffee shop in town. Great coffee, great atmosphere, great service - the owner was even walking around and making sure everyone was satisfied. But the highlight of this locally-owned spot is undoubtedly the Sweet and Southern. A combo of biscuits, one with jelly and one with sausage-gravy, is a delicious breakfast for any restaurant, much less a coffee shop. If you don’t like the Sweet and Southern, you might be a communist. Keep up the good work Front Porch.!

Such a nice and quiet setting. I got the chicken pita and an iced caramel macchiato. It was super good. They also offer Wifi so its a perfect place to grab a bite to eat and get some work done or to just read a good book.

My coffee drink (a large latte) was excellent, but the blueberry muffin was spectacular. Its unusual to find a large muffin with so many blueberries that has such a great texture... it was moist without being gooey, the flavor and freshness were great. While we took our coffees and muffins to go, it seemed like it would also be a pleasant place to hang around and enjoy ones coffee.

Where all the hipsters hang out. The frozen coffee was really good though. They have lavender flavors. What? This may be a common thing but Ive never seen it. Pretty cool.

I can’t get enough of this place. The people are so friendly and the coffee and food are incredible! I’d highly recommend the maple bourbon latte. The syrups are homemade and far superior to the store bought variety!!!The chocolate chip cookies are massive 😍 and you can’t pick a bad bagel bomb. Drop in for lunch or to have coffee with a friend in front of the fire place! You won’t regret visiting.

The bagel bombs were a bit underwhelming, they were very pale on the outside, tasted more like a pretzel then a bagel, and the filling was good but ruined the bagel part of it. The cinnamon rolls were delicious! And the coffees and chai latte were good too, but a little on the sweet side. The quiche was more eggy like a frittata, rather then a creamy quiche, and the crust was not flaky. The avocado toast is really good. But this place is definitely worth, coming to, it is the best Abilene has to offer.

We love going here with our dogs on Saturday mornings since the farmers market is across the street. Great atmosphere and customer service. The owner is always checking to make sure everyone has what they need. We like supporting Abilene local businesses and Front Porch does too. They have events that invite other small businesses to set up stands outside as well. The coffee is great and we love the Breakfast sandwiches too. Super cute, welcoming, and relaxing place!

I have heard a lot about this place so decided to go see what it was about. Now, I have to eat gluten-free foods because of Celiac disease. Most places in Abilene dont consider those of us with this at all so they dont offer gluten-free friendly options. This place however does. Only thing is, there are only two items on the menu that are gluten-free and both of those are smoothie bowls. Im not a big fan of those so I just left. Perhaps those of u who like them will like theirs. The only reason why I gave this place a one star is because of the gluten-free options.

This is what a coffee shop should be. These guys have a great vibe and a very cool place. The atmosphere is set from the moment you arrive by the old exposed brick and mix of modern accents. This continues through the inside. Their coffee and breakfast pastries are also fantastic! I would highly recommend Front Porch Coffee.

Currently sitting at a table soaking up the delightful atmosphere of Front Porch Coffee & Bakery. Here the rustic meets the refined with rough brick contrasting with detailed tile and woodwork and paintings--plenty of attention to detail.Just talked to the owner, Zach, a few minutes ago and asked who their roaster is--Imagine my pleasent surprise when I learned that Front Porch roasted it themselves! In a few weeks, you too will be able to get your hands on some of this coffee. For now, stop by and grab a cup!

After reading a lot of the reviews, I have to say I am disappointed. Theres no parking, which I would expect from a bigger city, no in Abilene. The window to get your food is different then the drink. Everyone got their food and hot drinks before I even got my frozen drink. The staff just pointed me in random directions, they couldnt answer questions about their own menu or coffees. Im only giving it two stars because my kids enjoyed the PBJ sandwhich and cinnamon roll.

Great coffee shop! Have had iced coffee with and without flavor and enjoyed both. Coffee has a full body flavor and is smooth.No burnt taste. Also had the quiche and cinnamon roll. Both were good, nothing exceptional. Well try it again soon!

Just visiting from out of town and was craving coffee and bagels. This place was a little out of the way but so worth it. I got the dirty chai latte (they actually use chai tea, not just spiced milk!!) and my friend got the Caramel macchiato. We both liked how our drinks werent overly sweet. The house blend coffee really shined through the cream and flavors :)

Both indoor and outdoor seating, couches and chairs as well as tables to sit at inside. Friendly staff, clean restaurant. If I lived here, this would be somewhere I would go often!

The BEST people work here. You walk in and immediately feel welcomed. The coffee and food are just as good as the people! Honey lavender latte & lemon/raspberry bagel bombs are a MUST! I could spend every day here.

My husband and I were not impressed with the coffee.. which upset me because we spent $17 almost $18 dollars there. But in that same amount we got their bagel bombs (which came with two but were small) but they were pretty amazing. Also we really liked the atmosphere there. I just wished we were able to enjoy the coffee like everything else.

Beautiful place. Good location. Yummy food. Bad coffee. I got a simple black light roast coffee. Bad flavor and tasted watered down. This was almost a great success, but it is possible to change the coffee.

First time here. Didnt order anything, but atmosphere was nice. Perfect for college students, whether studying alone or hanging out with a group. It was a cold night, so the fire in the fireplace was a lovely add-on.

Amazing people and phenomenal coffee and food! I have a gluten intolerance and their Gluten free bread with Nutella and Bananas plus a large Caramel Machiato is my go-to favorite!!! Additionally, their ambient is spot on...none other like it for 100s of miles!!
