I was very impressed with the service! At the time of this review, I would definitely describe myself as an amateur precious metal investor. I needed to liquidate some rounds due to a family emergency, and Big Country Gold Exchange beat every quote in town by a significant amount. Not only did they beat every quote, they educated me on some precious metal jargon, and explained how other businesses were trying to take advantage of me due to my limited knowledge. They had the cash ready before I walked through the door, and they entire experience was a ray of sunshine given my current life circumstances. I will only use Big Country Gold Exchange from here on out.

We had a lot of old coins that I had inherited and we had no idea what, if anything, they were worth. The lady we dealt with was very professional and instructive. After she arrived at an offer, she called the owner to double check. We ended up keeping two Morgan silver dollars because of sentimental value but received a fair price for the rest. We will go back any time we have a need.

I was thinking of driving to Dallas to see if I could get a better price for my silver, Big Country Gold gave me the full spot price.One of the competitors in Abilene offered me $1.00 per dime, the spot price today works out to about $1.67 per dime. So I would have lost a LOT of money if I sold to the other guys.Plus, they were very courteous, trustworthy and professional throughout.

Zackery and Laura actually take the time to listen and treat everyone with the upmost respect. I love this company. They have always been beyond fair and reasonable with there pricing. However-they are not like most other bullion dealers around the country are overcharging way above spot. There is no oversight. When the spot went down, demand went up. Unfortunately, all bullion dealers didnt freeze prices at the crash, they all went up as spot hit the floor. I could understand holding the premium during this crisis, but this looks similar to price gouging during a crisis. When we get on the other side of this crash, I question who I can trust. To John Parsons review, sometimes people need a day off. Especially working 6 days a week, and having a newborn baby. If someone says if it has to get done they will help you, that means they are willing to help you. We were open by appointment only, and yes it was my birthday. My parents were in town and I wanted to spend the day with them.As far as not doing business with someone you dont know, just because they need a day off, well thats just crazy.Also to the reviewer that said we offered a low offer on her wedding band, the band was worn to the point it had to get melted down and remade into something else, she may have payed 3000$ but that is just the fact retail stores Mark up merchandise ludicrously high. We could have made a better ring with higher cut,color,clarity stones and sold it for 1200$ and still made money in the process. Small diamonds are cheap, and we do fly to New York monthly to purchase wholesale stones for clients. Now to the point of being annoyed, the lady was rude from the get go and I told her off the bat I wouldnt be able to come even marginally close to what she paid. Basically dont buy retail, if you want something made let us help you make it with wholesale materials. Do not get ripped off by these jewelry stores that make Billions yes BILLIONS annually.Thanks, BCGE

First time ever being here. Looked at reviews on yellow page to see what to expect. Had great reviews and claims from people that they got offered a lot of money. Was completely disappointed by my experience. Young man working was extremely rude and was annoyed by any questions I asked about the pricing procedure. He acted annoyed that I was even there. He told me that gold is not worth much and neither are diamonds. Completely low balled me on my offer and told me that he flew to New York all the time and could get such for a low low price. If that is the case then why even have a business open? When I stated I would not accept that offer, he rudely asked how much I thought I was going to get and laughed at me like I was stupid. I may not know much about this business but I definitely do not appreciate being treated like I am stupid. Waste of my time and a complete waste of a business.

Have yet to make it inside this establishment because I tried to do business on a Saturday during “business hours”, and no one was home. No explanation on the door stating some kind of event or emergency. I ended up going to Abilene Gold Exchange. Although open received some rude customer service there. Based on the mixed reviews of Big Country I’m skeptical about walking in the door, but will update this review after truly doing business.

I took a ring in to see about selling, a ring that has been appraised at over 10, 000 and they offered me 198.00 lolI can take it to ez pawn at an time and pawn it for 1300 . I think the guy that owns it must be a pretty good crook, or at least thinks he is lol wow

Without a doubt the worst customer service experience that I have had with a coin/bullion dealer. I was there to purchase bullion and was so disgusted by their conduct we didnt even get to the price. Rude and obnoxious. Roughly three minutes was all I could tolerate. I would NEVER spend a penny in that place.
