They have repaired and installed overhead doors, pedestrian doors, and loading dock equipment at a number of our properties. Gem is responsive and keeps their costs down. Work is quality and completed quickly! Highly recommend!

They did a major install of new 7 Kelley Docks with shelters and new doors. We were extremely happy with the project. They did a fast efficient job. We would defiantly use them again.

They have provided service for hundreds of companies in the greater Chicago area, and with that service comes a friendly tech who completes each job diligently.One example of this is when Gem worked on the Northwest Homer Fire Department. It was a big job and there were many obstacles along the way, but the fire chief Ken was very happy with the final product. They installed nine overhead doors and openers at the fire station. The Gem techs put great effort into the job and everybody, even Michael, appreciated that.Their prices cant be beat, considering how competitive the dock and door niche is. When you think of Gem Dock & Door for your service needs, you know you will get a quality and professional experience.

Jerked me around on springs and sizing. Probably a good service place for small company but not a busy dock. I need same day service or next day minimum.

Unprofessional

Most inexperienced group of commercial overhead door guys I’ve ever seen. Springs were on the wrong doors so doors didn’t balance, the anchors they used to attach spring plates to the wall are made for drywall and are all pulling out so I’m fixing all of those. The tracks are all too wide and need to be reinstalled. These guys clearly take no pride in their work and should not be doing garage doors. I’m actually upset that I had to put 1 star.
