Carl, Rick, Mrs. Rhonda provide a great atmosphere and service for my 2006 Jaguar X Type (143K miles). They diagnosed a Transmission Pan Leak. I decided to also have the differential fluid changed and Coolant Flush. I made this appointment on my day off and was able to wait for the above services to be completed. I had a great experience here with a rough-shifting Jeep Cherokee. A simple fluid change did the trick. Great price, quick service and communication... they couldve tried to sell me a bill of goods and didnt -- much appreciated!

These people had my car in the shop for six days straight we had to literally keep on at them to get this car fixed. They fixed it but when I drove it it wasnt driveable. The tire was bent backwards we had to carry it to another shop to get redone. These ppl had to go back over everything. So when we called they needed proof to see what had to be done back over. Now they wont give us a refund and told us the receipts we have they cant give us nothing back. And I paid 611 for them to fix that tire and it still wasnt fixed. I will never go back to them again. Oh not to mention I had to take my car back to another SHOP to redo the whole tire situationn cost us another 356.

Lewis at AAMCO was super helpful when my car died. Luckily I was only a few miles from the shop and my insurance covered the tow. AAMCO will inspect your vehicle for free. Unfortunately, Lewis had to deliver the bad news that my transmission was out. He seemed very genuine when explaining my options, he did not make me feel rushed to make a decision and when I shared my options with my dad, brother and husband they said it sounded accurate and fair. Its clear that customer service is important to Lewis and his team. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and he also paid for an Uber to take me home which was unexpected but very much appreciated. I would definitely come back to this AAMCO location in the future and recommend them to friends.

We dropped the car off on Tuesday evening to have the transmission looked at. We live in WV, so we had to make arrangements to rent a car to get back to WV so that we could leave the car in Aiken. I made it clear that we would need to get the car back the following Friday (10 days later). After hearing nothing for five days, I called on Monday. They said that they hadnt yet tried diagnose the problem, but that they would get to it soon. I again reiterated that we would need the car by Friday. After hearing nothing for another 24 hours, I called again on Tuesday. They said they couldnt find anything (which was understandable, the car had only acted up after a 11 hour drive). I indicated that was fine, but asked if I could have a transmission flush and fluid change. They indicated that was not a problem. Two days later I called and they still had not gotten to it. I told them I had to pick up the car on that day, which was Thursday (plans had changed). She said that if I could give them a time on Thursday, they could have it done. I told them 2:00 and the lady said they would have it done by then. When I called at 1:50, she said they were just pulling it in. I told them to forget it and to get it ready to pick up.Very frustrated.

I took my car to AAMCO August 27 2020 because I needed a transmission. I took out a loan to get my car fixed they started working on the car September 23rd 2020. I received a phone call Monday October 12th 2020 saying I can come get my car. I told them i will be there tuesday. I called back and said nevermind Ill just come now. I was told that it wasnt ready give them 2 days because my gear keep getting stuck in 5th shift. Today is October 16th 2020 and I have yet to receive my car or a phone call. They never call me with updated information Im always calling them.

Took them almost 5 weeks to fix my car, had to send it back 2x because it just stopped going. The owner is a complete piece of trash. Please, do not do business here.

Attention Attention Customs of AikenI am writing about my experience with Mr. Lewis and his mechanics. I brought my car to his shop for brakes and transmission service. I drop my car off on the 5th of May. They had my car exactly 26 days. I was expecting a long wait base on the amount of cars on the lot. and the big sign under new Management. Also Mr. Lewis stated there are a couple of car ahead of me. On the 1st of June I received a call that my car was Ready-to-Go. I cant even begin to describe how elated I was to have my car back in working order. So! I sprinted over to the shop. I paid and left. I had the car about 1 hour and half of that was stuck at the bank drive thru trying to catch a gear. I immediately took the car back. Mr Lewis see me and says what happen. I tell him its doing the same thing. He suggest a test drive. Mr. Lewis get in, shift into gear and the car just revs up with no movement forward or backward. The only work done to it was the transmission and brakes. Also it underwent a tuneup. Mr. Lewis has not reach out to me about me car. I call his shop 31 days later just to hear they are waiting for a part. My car should have received priority and not still waiting. This is just part 1 of 2 on my experience with Aamco and I plan to let Customers know how it ends. Be careful and thank you

I know every experience is not going to be the same but my experience was BOMB.Lewis was nice to me. The service on and performance of my truck has been AWSOME..My baby (Catt) get up n get outta here like she was never broken!!!

Warranty work done 3 times under two different managements. Time has totaled about 15 weeks of warranty work so far.

Went there to check a noise in front wheel. They informed me I needed a transmission. I thought that was odd so I got a second opinion. I found out I had absolutely no transmission problem but a front wheel bearing problem. I really feel that was a scam and a shame. So dont trust them and beware. I dealt went them 2 years ago with no problem and a high recommendation but the new management is definitely wrong.

They flushed my transmission and changed my filter

These guys were fantastic. I was expecting a much more expensive and lengthy repair but it was reasonable and they made my car run better than it has in years. Lewis is a really great guy who couldnt have been more helpful. Defientely reccomend these folks.

The manager Lewis is clueless about cars, and he has a bad attitude while taling to you. The young lady Jennifer was very respectful and nice but in the end I took my vehicle some where else.

I was told by the owner that if the part didnt fix my vehicle, hed refund my money. Well,...the part did NOT repair the vehicle nor was I refunded my money. Integrity and honour do NOT reside there. Im sure others have had better experiences at that location, but Im NOT one of the others.

Took truck in for leak. Got it back it still leaks and there is a vibration. Took it back and it is sitting. Said will take care of it. Need it back asap. They have had this truck for over 2 weeks! Now they say something else is wrong Gave them the go ahead to get it fixed. Told we would get it back Monday afternoon. Called Tuesday morning, now they cant get something lined up and supposedly have 3 mechanics working on it. My daughter was suppose to leave Aiken to come home now she is stuck there. Her husband is flying in to help her come home and she now has no way to pick him up! This is ridiculous!

They lied about how long it would take to replace my transmission. Told me three days, its going on three weeks and they still have my car! They say they will call me back, they never called. Every time I call to check on the status the front desk lady never knows and the mechanics are conveniently never in when I call. Its already been paid for or I would have gotten it and taken it some place else. I am livid! They told me the reason its taking is so long is because now the torque converter is faulty, said this happens often with the company they get transmissions from (if this happens often with the company you buy them from, then STOP getting parts from them!) ...horrible customer service. Will be reporting them to bbb and will blast this all over social media! I have a life, a job and children I do not have time for this!

Had my moms car for over a month, would barely return calls, and could never tell her what was actually wrong with the car. The car was towed to AAMCO with almost a full tank of gas and was empty when she picked it up. She also had to call and tell them she was coming to get it since they would never let her know anything.

My dad had his car towed there, it stayed there for three weeks and was only worked on a few times before he was told to come amd get it.

An absolutely horrible experience!!! My family and I paid $2200.00 for a transmission to be replaced. When we first got the car back, it was behaving exactly as it did before. So we returned the car back to the shop, where it was kept for a month and a half. After our patience had finally worn out, and not to mention we never knew what was going on with the car unless we called the shop, I told the owner that we no longer wanted my car repaired there and that I wanted to have my car picked up and my money returned. The store owner obviously agreed because the secretary by the name of Shilay, not sure if thats the correct spelling og her name, asked if I would take a check for my returned payment. This day was on Thursday February 19, 2015. Imagine my surprise when I get a call saying my car is ready on February 21st. When I spoke to the owner I asked why had he continued the work when I told him to stop and his response was, It doesnt work like that. Now two things I find very disturbing, 1. If I told you to stop working on my car and you agreed why would you continue and If you had my car for a month and a half, HOW IS IT NOW FIXED IN 2 DAYS AFTER I SAID STOP AND I WANTED MY MONEY BACK! That is highly suspicious and an awful way to conduct business! Im trying to warn you, PLEASE carry your business elsewhere! I am filing a report with the police dept, taking him to court and reporting them to the Better Business Bureau!
