Horrible sales experience. I wanted to purchase a Ranger that was on order to this dealership. Salesman Richard was unhelpful and condescending. He refused to take any counteroffer I made to his managers. Despite this I wanted the truck and I decided to purchase the truck when it arrived, however when the truck arrived he never called. The truck has been there for weeks now and still no call. He has definitely cost them a sale. I would avoid Richard if you choose to shop here.

Worked place to go get your car fix or even checked to get a diagnostic. Took my Ford here to get a diagnostic was told that they were going to check it the next morning they had my car for more then a week. When I got a call back after me calling for an answer almost everyday they said they they thought it was the engine and that the cost was going to be $7500 to get it fixed. I decided to go pick it up and take it to the ford in Hoover.. OK yes Im a girl but it wasnt the engine. Thanks for nothing Ernest McCarty ford.

They don’t accept any reservations so if you need something looked at or repaired you have to guess whether or not the person who can fix it will be in that day. If not then you have to come back and hope that a repair person is able to take care of the issue. Not acceptableEDIT: Both of your diesel mechanics were not involved in another job because I had been told that the only one who had been there has already left for the day. This was at 3:30 and you close at 6:00. This was not the first time I’ve come there to be told there wasn’t anyone available to work on that particular item.

Took my 2020 F350 Diesel to dealer in hoover. Told me nothing wrong. Issue kept getting worse. Billy at Ernest McCarty and Marty figured it out in two minutes. Fuel filter plugged. Replaced, no more noise, and thought fuel mileage had been down- reset, 22.8 driving home! Now you know where Ill be going!

Service department has terrible customer service and takes their time. Kept being told it would get looked at “this day” and they would call and update and never received a call and when I called them they “didn’t get to it” they never call to update as they say they will and I feel like I have to constantly call to see what’s going on and when I’ll have my car back. Was told I would get a call on Wednesday when it was ready and again never received a call. They are extremely frustrating to deal with.

Wrecked my car mid-February. Got it back mid-March. (Not their fault, due to storms and COVID.) When I got the vehicle back, I started to hear a weird sound. Took it back to Ernest McCarty and they told me that I just needed my rotors turned for another $260 dollars because insurance would not cover that. Ok, cool. Took my car back home because I’m not paying $260 just to get them turned. Got it back to the house and got my wheels off this morning to take them and get them turned at Express on Valleydale Road (shoutout to those hard-working guys) and, low and behold, a damaged rotor that should have been replaced with gouges in it. This was also missed by the service shop. Missed by two different shops on two different occasions. Thank God for Dwayne. He has been so nice through all of this. They are reimbursing me for the rotor so that makes me feel a little better.

Took my truck in to have them replace a gasket in exhaust system between my turbo to manifold that i couldnt get to seal. I had just replaced the manifold gasket and 2 broken bolts on the manifold that were original from factory. Replaced all gaskets on turbo and exhaust downpipe too. I had trouble with the gasket between the turbo and the exhaust manifold so i figured just take it to my local ford shop and have them do it. I explained to the service agent (guy at the desk) that i had just done all this work and all i needed was for them to replace the gasket between the turbo to manifold that wouldnt seal and was leaking exhaust. They said they would check it out and get back to me with a quote that day. Well 2 days later, they call me and say you have two broken bolts on the exhaust manifold (i had just replaced all of them) and a worn out exhaust manifold gasket (i had just replaced 2 days earlier) and when i asked about the gasket that i knew to be my issue they said it was fine. They quoted me a price of $3500 dollars and 3 weeks to get it repaired. I did not have them do the work. I also had to pay a diagnostic fee of $100 bucks for then to obviously not even look at my vehicle. So -------- fair warning ----- do not go here if you expect fair honest work.

I walked in without an appointment for an oil change. They were able to get my suv serviced the same day. The staff was friendly and the waiting area was nice. There was plenty of comfortable seating, vending machines available, complimentary coffee and TVs to entertain you while you wait. When the service was done, a technician explained everything and went over possible servicing I will need in the future. Overall it was a good experience. I will definitely go back for future services and maintenance.

We were home for the Thanksgiving holiday and had to bring in our truck due to an engine fault code. We were roughly 700 miles from our house and 3 days from having to turn around and return. Steve in the quick lane got our truck in the back quickly and Jeff started working on the diagnosis very rapidly. I was kept in the loop about what was going on and what the options were. While it required getting a part delivered and keeping my truck overnight, it was ready the next morning and i was able to drive my family back to our house before anyone had to kiss and school or work. This was all thanks to the wonderful service we received from the team at Ernest McCarty.

After replacing rear tires on my BMW 335i I began noticing a slight vibration at highway speeds. The new tires had been spin balanced twice and at this point I was tired of trying to diagnose a vibration. I saw online that Quick Lane at Earnest McCarty had a road force balancer and happened to be conveniently located at the time. I called and Kelly, the service writer, ended up being a big help. Brandon Stanley performed the road force balance and did a phenomenal job. The car is now smooth as silk on the highway and pricing was fair for a quality job done.

I arrived at the Service Department at 6:30am, they dont open until 7:00am (in which they did promptly), I was told over the phone that they operate on a 1st come 1st serve basis. I was the first in line, they checked my vehicle in and the shuttle had me home by 7:15am.The Service Crew was extremely nice and helpful.

My company orders fleet vehicles and we hate when they get shipped to this dealership to pickup. Horrible customer service each and every time. This time one of our trucks showed up with damage, which I can understand. But this happened a week ago and they haven’t m e told me what happened or when it will be ready. Calling does no good with them. I’ve called multiple times.Part TwoThe owner is correct. I was contacted after I made the first review. The manager looked into the problem and had it fixed the next day. I was treated like a welcomed customer and I appreciate that.

Always pleased at the service. A customer since 2000#2. I recently returned to EM for an oil change. The ‘Quick Lane’ told me it would be a 2 hr wait, so I left to return the next day and drop my car off for the oil change. The second day they were saying an hour to an hour & half, so I left the car at 10 am. I had not heard from the at 12 noon, so I went for lunch and came back at 12:30 to see my car up on the rack. I sent my ride on and waited. My only thoughts was because I had left the car, they had worked on it last.(There were few cars around other than mine and no other car in the bay)I trust EM with my cars maintenance, but did feel that this last visit was taking a little advantage of my good nature. I hope next time they are more timely and appropriate with the work. As always, I am pleased with the work.

I brought my F-250 in for a tire patch on Monday afternoon, March 23 around 5:00 pm. The customer service rep said they could fix it by 6:00 pm, so I also asked them to do a tire rotation while they had the tire off. When I came back to pick up my truck at 5:55 pm the technician told me he pulled the nail out of the tire, but it was not leaking. I knew it was leaking because I had to air the tire up several times before I brought it in. The tech argued with me, saying that he pulled out the nail and the tire was not leaking, when I clearly knew the tire was leaking down over time. I paid for the tire rotation and walked out to my truck, as I got closer to it I could hear the tire leaking air. Yes, you heard correctly, it was seeping out air as I stood there. I went back inside to tell the cust service rep to come take a look. I demanded they fix before I left because I knew the tire would be flat in the morning. The tech had apparently left, so I had to leave my truck overnight and come back again a second time to pick it up the next day. I told the cust service rep I would not pay for the tire patch due to the ridiculousness of the situation. They were kind enough not to charge me. I love Earnest McCarty Quick Lane and take both my vehicles to Steve and Kelly all the time. This was certainly not the normal.

This was my first time to visit Quick Lane in Calera. I called and immediately answered. David was very kind and helped me with what I needed to hear over the phone. Once I arrived, shortly after phone call, David greeted me with a smile and told me they will take a look at the tire and take care of me. Customer service was on point. Then it took about 2 hours for a patch work done on my tire. Not knowing what could have been wrong since they had the tire on the calibration machine for awhile. After the first initial contact when I walked in, there was no communication within that 2 hours span. When all was said and done, after paying and driving off, I got onto the interstate feeling vibration from that tire they patched. Figured they did not calibrate it correctly since it took longer than it should. Called David back and told me to bring it back in and they will fix it. Brought it in the next day and took them no more than 20 mins to fix the calibration issue. In conclusion, the reason I’m giving it a 3 star rating is due to promptness and communication that needs improvement.

Service Department is great!I am a woman who has have taken my 2001 F-150 in for service many times over the years. They always treat me with respect. They have a convenient shuttle service that takes me to work so I can have my truck serviced while I work and not while I wait. They will not mislead you and “fix” things that aren’t broken. Service advisor “Marty” gave me his direct number so that I could reach him directly. I highly recommend this facility for Ford service.

If you want a salesman who is going to be honest, laid-back, and not pushy; go see Garry Lamberth! I looked at two Ford Flex vehicles there, but wasn’t sold on either because they had leather seats. I emailed Garry and told him I would love a red Flex with cloth seats. He emailed the next day with exactly what I wanted and I traded in my old Flex, bought my new Flex (the last year model) and I am very happy!

The Calera branch of the Ernest McCarty Ford servicing all makes and models has always done a great job providing the necessary service for my Toyota Camry vehicle. While any office can just change a cars engine oil, this branch has made every effort to identify any extra parts or service that were needed from a thorough checklist. This is even more important for an older vehicle to identify potential problems before breakdowns, etc. The staff is friendly, helpful, and competent and the waiting area is relaxing. I would recommend this branch to friends for great service.

I’ve visited here a few times to resolve an ongoing issue that I’ve been having with my 2017 Ford Edge. My vehicle was dropped off for over a week before Thanksgiving and the issue APPEARED to be fixed. Of course right before Christmas the issue arose again. And has since been occurring...Wayne of the service depart has been kind, but it doesn’t seem like the issue was ever resolved to begin with and it was just a shot in the dark to see what could be wrong with it. I had to sit in the waiting room for over two hours with my 1 yr daughter...just to be told for the 4th or 5th time that they can’t identify the issue and then have to pay for a rental. This situation has been very frustrating. I need a reliable vehicle to transport my child in and I would think that with a full warranty the issues would be fixed but I guess not. I will be going to another Ford Dealership to see if maybe another set of service staff can pinpoint the issue and approach the situation with more urgency.——in response to the reply, the diagnostic code was evident and the check engine light came on back in November. If the same issues were still occurring I would think that the work previously performed would be under warranty and may need to be fixed again regardless of the code popping up again. And yes the vehicle was test driven, but was it tried on differing terrain, on the interstate, or was it just driven up and down highway 31? I have called the Service Manager Scott 7 times over the past 6 weeks requesting a ball park quote to R&R the ac compressor on my 2006 Ford Expedition and Scott said he would call me back. Guess what????? I have not gotten a call back as of yet. Scott keeps telling me He will get with his parts department and call me back I guess that Ernst McCarty Ford doesnt need the business. Worst Service Manager I have ever seen or dealt with and I can say that as I was a GM Sales Manager!! I would NEVER treat my potential customers or any customer like that. If I was his manager I would fire him. In fact I may just go over his head. I have had other work done there in the past and never had this problem before. I was going to have them put spark plugs in also which is a $400.00 job if they dont break any off but they had done that for me 100,000 miles ago so none of them should break off if they replaced them with the new ones. Nuff Said! Guess I will find another place to do it or just do it myself. I know how and have the equipment but I dont have time right now which is why i turned to them.

Very poor customer service. My husband’s F250 would not start and we were told it was an issue only Ford could fix, so we towed it to Ernest McCarty. We dropped the car off on a Friday and they didn’t even give us a diagnosis until the following Tuesday. My husband lost thousands of dollars in work. They “fixed” the issue and returned it to us Tuesday afternoon. The next morning, my husband tried to leave to go to work and the truck that was supposedly “fixed” would not start again. We had to pay ANOTHER $120 tow to Ernest McCarty which is great when you’ve already missed thousands of dollars in work. Ernest McCarty then tells us it’s the key fobs so we had to pay another $300 for those. I simply asked Ernest McCarty to reimburse the second tow bill of $120 since they returned the truck to us unfixed the first time. They refused to do so. I would never take a truck here unless you enjoy missing work, having a truck that doesn’t work well, and dealing with inflexible service department managers. I left several voicemails for the manager Tony Blaylock with no response.

Well it started off great until my BRAND NEW TRUCK developed a vibration somewhere in the back of the truck being under warranty I took it to ERNEST MCARTY FORD so they all felt the vibration and had my truck for a total of 5 or 6 days they were unable to fix my truck and ford told them to stop trying and tell me it’s a trait of the truck!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE #%~* SERIOUSLY And I will never purchase another vehicle from them again

Ford says Quick Lane but its not very Quick. Took 2 1/2 hrs. took get my truck back. Oil was also spilled on my motor because i can smell it burning. Not very professional in my opinion. I will be going back to Havoline.

Mike Lawley is the best!! I have NEVER had a better experience. It is like just talking and dealing with a friend or family member. So easy, no pressure. Straight forward on EVERYTHING. This is absolutely the MAYBERRY of car dealerships. Family. The only one i have ever seen that conduct business this way. I would definitely see Mike or Nick when you go up there. Just call them and they will be ready for you. So easy, i have never had an easier time than with them. :) You will be happy and stress free when visiting them for any and all your transportation needs!!!!!

Two hours to patch a tire, that is after the truck was on the lift. Could see the operation through glass. The tech just disappeared for long periods of time. The truck sat, ready to back out for 15 minutes before the tech brought the ticket in. I have had great service here other times but someone should monitor this tech.

When I initially took my 2019 Ford Raptor in for service (oil change and tire balance) I was extremely disappointed after inspecting it. There was a bolt missing, several u-nuts broken, weights on the wheels that werent clearing the caliper and my wheels were all scratched up.However, I brought all of this to my Service Advisors, (Louis) attention, we reviewed it with the Shop Foreman (Bobby) and the dealership went above and beyond to correct every issue, even repowdercoating all 4 wheels. I understand that mistakes can happen and appreciate the effort of the dealership to make sure I was satisfied.I will continue to use Ernest McCarty due to the level of service I received once the dealership (Louis and Bobby) became aware of the issues and their effort to make things right.
