Don’t go here!! Staff had absolutely no clue what they were doing. Visible that the lady working was upset. Please don’t go here. They aren’t handling things appropriately or professionally with their patients. I had a surgery and the lady couldn’t figure out anything. Then she didn’t bother to call to let me know there was an issue. Extremely disorganized. Don’t risk it. If you need Walgreens just got up the road
If I could give negative stars I would. The worst customer service of any pharmacy Ive ever used. They continued to send me notices of refills on a prescription that I no longer needed or could take after me notifying them and telling them I no longer could take that. When you try to call you are put on hold for 30 minutes or more, then you get cut off and have to call all over again, only to be put on hold. The drive-thru pick up is a nightmare. You wait there forever also. When I tried to leave a message for them to call me at the front counter, I was very rudely told, There is nothing I can do for you. One particular pharmacist is extremely rude. I was also told their computer program was to blame for me being cut off, because I had been on hold too long. We are changing pharmacies, and will not use them ever again. I also tried calling the district office to try and get help - it was no better.
Made an online appointment for COVID-19 vaccine for my son. Arrived 15 min before the appointment, as instructed. After an hour of waiting, we still had not been given paperwork to fill out. They are understaffed and the staff they do have is under-trained. Two staff went on break while we were waiting. After an hour and 25 minutes, we finally got the shot. So after the 15 min waiting period, we were there a total of an hour and 45 min. Ridiculous.Thankfully, we do not use them for our prescriptions. So we have no reason to frequent this business.
The lady in charge, the pharmacist as well as their staff their dont know how to do anything and take forever. Did not get Covid shot because of long long LONG wait.
This Walgreens is always extremely busy. I’ve had to wait for 20 minutes in the drive through. They take at least 45 minutes to fill prescriptions. I scheduled my first Covid vaccination here and even that took 45 minutes. I came back today just now to get my 2nd vaccination and waited at the window for 5 minutes. Then someone told me it would be a while because 3 people were in front of me and the vials had to be taken out of the refrigerator to get to room temperature. They don’t seem to have enough staff. Either it’s that or they do not have a good workflow process. Do anything you can to avoid this location. They are very scattered and seem very unorganized. At least the girl was polite and told me it would be a while. That’s why they got 3 stars instead of 1. Time is valuable though and no one should have to wait for more than 10 minutes to get a shot. The actual shot doesn’t take that long. Because of this I left and don’t know when I will reschedule or if I will reschedule. But it won’t be at this location.
Been there three times to pick up a prescription and waited almost an hour before leaving every time due to people getting covid tests and vaccines. How about serving your prescriptions before worrying about covid vaccines and tests. It’s a PHARMACY not a urgent care. Staff is completely incompetent.
Randomly closed on any given day! Will put you on hold with no intention on picking up your call, happens every call!
Very disappointed with prescription refills. It should not take 2-3hrs to fill a prescription. They do not have enough staff working. The drive-thru is always long. In the past, I waited 15 minutes tops.
Pharmacy is terribly understaffed. Took two days to get an RX filled when my insurance was already on file. Not taking customers in the order which they arrived and just overall poor customer service. Will be finding a new pharmacy as this is the second time in the last 3 months I’ve had an experience like this. Absolutely unacceptable.
Sitting on hold for 30 minutes after they got my prescription wrong. Tried to make me make a new account when Im there all the time
They never have the prescription filled on time. The staff is very rude.
If you want to spend 45 minutes in line every time you want to pick up your prescription, this is the pharmacy fir you. I wish I was exaggerating. Don’t bother. Just transferred our prescriptions to Publix.
Some of the rudest pharmacy techs!
Technician yelled at me. they also said all of my prescriptions outload infront of others (HIPPA doesnt apply for these guys?). Manager would not give me the 3 minutes to talk to me after they asked what they could do for me?? If I could leave negative stars I would. Please do not go here if you want to be treated like a customer - Ive been treated better at the Birmingham DMV
I have been going to 119 HWY for 10yrs they used to have a good customer service good employees, but this couple of yrs they have had the worst in the pharmacy they never have my prescription they don’t know when they’re going to have it, and they take for ever. Then at the registers at front they have bad attitude like they don’t want no one at the store. They have to change or they will be loosing a lot of customers.
The worst. The pharmacy takes FOREVER to fill prescriptions. It doesn’t matter how busy (or not) they are, they’ll take forever. We switched to a Walgreens in another town and STILL get our prescriptions faster than this one so much closer to where we live. Definitely wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
The wait was a bit long at the pharmacy but I enjoyed browsing while I waited. Staff friendly enough and store clean.
We switched to Walgreens because of location convenience. We have had several prescriptions filled here and the majority of them have had an issue where we have had to return the next day to pick up our prescription. We have notifications set up but we never receive a call or text that something is wrong. The staff is always friendly and that is why they got two stars.
Dont expect Speedy kind. Or efficient service in this place.
Seems like I am on here once a week at least to pick up something. Staff is always very nice and helpful. I never have a problem finding what I need.
This SLOWEST drive thru pharmacy!!! I drive by and they are often lined up 5 and 6 deep.
We switched to Walgreens because it was a more convenient location. Since switching we have not had a single prescription filled in a reasonable amount of time. The pharmacy seems to have no sense of urgency. We will be switching back to CVS.
Employee, Kyle needs additional training on how to show good customer service, even if he doesn’t feel like it. No personality and no empathy for seniors.
Horrible service! Prescriptions out of stock! I was told they have no idea when the RX will be in stock. Rude employees, one pharmacist, in particular, is slow and it seems as if he doesnt know what hes doing. They need to hire a few more employees. Moved all my prescriptions to Brooklere. They are friendly, and the pharmacists are friendly, courteous and knowable. If its a new prescription, the pharmacist will discuss it with you, even at the driver through. I love Brooklere. The only negatives are their hours and the store isnt open on Sundays. Do what I did, ask them to transfer your prescriptions from Walgreens to Brooklere. You wont regret it.
Waited on phone over 20 minutes to ask a question about a medication I take that was recalled because of serious issues. When I finally got to talk to a pharmacist, they were less than friendly and told me I would have to bring it in before they could tell me anything. Since they gave out the medication and are aware of any problems concerning a medication, you would think they would know whats going on with it. Only time I have used Walgreens. Used CVS for years, never waited for a extended period to talk to anyone, even when they were really busy. The pharmacy at Walgreens in Alabaster gets a failing grade and will not get my business. CVS Im coming back.
Always “lose” prescriptions. Hardly anybody answers the phone or solves the problems.
The pharmacy has been so unhelpful. I am a student at The University of Montevallo and I am not from the area thus promoting me to transfer my prescriptions down here. This process has tried to take place every day for the past three days and I am finally giving up. The first day it took me 10 minutes before I could talk to anyone and when they finally answered they said their phones are down. That in itself was sketchy because I was talking to them through their phone system, but I figured that they got something working. I gave them my information and they said that they would get that in and text me from their personal phones (that in itself is odd) when it was ready. I never got that text. The next day, around the same time, I went down to the store to pick up school supplies and I asked them about my prescriptions. They had to take my information again as their phones were down and their computers were acting up the day before and they didnt get to my order. They asked me when I needed it and I said the next day and they told me they would call it in right then. The final day, at the same time of day, I called them and checked my status of my prescriptions by putting in my information that they had to take twice (well technically three times as they asked me twice the first day for my information). They said that they couldnt find my order. They have some issues they need to work out if they want to be in this business as my prescription is actually important to my health.
Hadn’t been in a few months, but today I did a quick stop and service was the worst I ever had there! Cashier looked like she didn’t want to be there, didn’t even say a “hello how are?” NOTHING NOT ONE WORD the whole time when checking out not even the told or anything!! Every unprofessional!!
I made the mistake of having a prescription sent to alabaster location at 5:40 when they were closing at 6. I stood in line and had prepared to ask them to send my prescription to another pharmacy if it was too late. They agreed and said the other pharmacy would have to call them, which they said they would. I asked if I was set to leave, was given the okay, so I headed to other pharmacy. They call me and say walgreens never answered their phone, that it went straight to operator saying they were closed. So, I head into traffic to go to hoovers 24 hour walgreens pharmacy and I call ahead so they know to get it ready since it is a 30 minute drive. I was on hold for 25 minutes before they picked up. I figured--they must be super busy. 5 minutes later, I pulled in and there was no line, no rush, no hurry... they told me I had to wait another 15 minutes. When I inquired about why I had to sit on hold for 25 minutes if they werent busy, I dont know was all I got. This woman could see Id been crying (from worry over my kid) and I didnt get an apology, a rush job, kindness, nothing. If they had picked up their phone, they could have done the transfer for me at 6, and I could have had the meds to my sick child an hour earlier.
This place has the slowest pharmacy I have ever been too.Doctor called prescription around 8 a.m. It still wasnt ready after 2:00 pm.This particular location is awful and poorly managed
First and last time I will ever use this Pharmacy. Very rude when I first called. After already having such a stressful week, I dont need some lady being a sassy b**** to me when Ive never used this Pharmacy. When they said it was ready, I immediately went to the store. Took 10 minutes (probably longer) to receive my prescription.
Great Pharmacy and staff.
Clean aisles, friendily smily cashier-Jason.
Unfortunately the pharmacist there on 1/19/16 around 12:31 pm was incredibly rude, not helpful in any way.
Fun friendly managers
Ridiculously slow
So my wife, who cannot talk, rode her power chair up to the pharmacy window inside. After sitting there for a few moment the pexiglass partition comes down on her head...... yes today 11-8-21. I asked and found out that this was not the first time one of their plexiglass partitions had fallen. But it may have been the first time one hit an invalid lady on the head. Horrible, Awful! My wife is on hospice and takes a lot of medication. These poeple charged her $100 for something she did not need or want. They still have the prescription in their possession. Never opened. WALGREENS stil has the unopened prescription which they charged her for and will not refund to her. Well Walgreens your greed cost you all the money that you made filling all those dozens of other script for her. Hope that $100 was more important to you than it is to us. Bye bye
