AT MOST, a 2 star course for many reasons all of these are easily fixable, however Its been getting worse over the past 10 years.Price - waaaay too much for the conditions.around $60 for 18 with a cart way better off playing Spring Hill or Trysting Tree or even the City Golf par 3 10 minutes up the road to Corvallis.Practice areas - severely limited distance and mats. There is a short driving range about 200 yards long with trees and fence at the backside. It is nice to have distance markers out there however hitting from the mats is not realistic training. 1/2 a bucket of balls is $5, which is about average at a NICE driving range.Quality of fairways and rough - worse Ive ever played in 20 years of golf.Fairways look like a typical golf courses rough, combine that with white weed flowers all over can make it pain in the neck to find a ball even after a great shot.Rough is certainly as described, to make matters worse their groundskeeping is also rough. There are low hanging trees throughout the course, high handicappers will spend an absorbent amount of time searching for ball due to the aforementioned as well as the course being very narrow.Quality of greensDead damaged area on many or most greens, grass cut is longer than most fringes. If you are used to decent greens this will destroy your feel. These greens require hitting the ball at least double the power that you would need for an identical putt at Trysting Tree.I wouldnt play this course if you paid me to.

Just moved to Albany from Colorado and have recently played both Albany tracks, here and Spring Hill.If you’re used to immaculate greens and tight fairways, this isn’t it. As a better player used to finer courses this place offers an incredibly short layout that offers ample opportunity to work on you short game. Or just take 4 irons and a putter and hone your shot making. Good for on course type practice. If you’re a range rat looking for a practice facility I suggest going to Spring Hill as GCO only has about 7 matts and no turf.I enjoyed GCO for what it was and think it could be great for people learning the game, families, and those looking to get on course practice for a good rate.

The fairway is almost all clover and the greens are in pretty bad shape. The only saving grace really is that its the cheapest long course near me.

Very very disorganized. Worst golf course by far I’ve ever golfed. For example, there was a pothole on one of the greens and the greens were like putting through mud. Wouldn’t recommend.

Excellent Track, 18 of the best golf holes in 100 acres youll ever find. This layout has a feel that every hole is individual from the next. Great value for the fee, and very well maintained. The Staff are a wonderful group of people, both inside the Pro Shop and out on the Course. Chris Kennel is a great Keeper of the Greens.

Had an issue with another golfer on the course. No big deal, but tried to bring it to the attention of the taller, older gentleman with glasses and baseball cap working the front counter. He couldnt have cared less. He walked away mid-sentence and completely ignored me. I could see his eyes glaze over the second he realized I had a complaint. The culture out here is apparently garbage and they dont care about their customers at all. His attitude and demeanor were of complete exhaustion. He obviously doesnt care about the customer experience at all and was incredibly rude. Pay the few extra bucks and just go to Springhill, its worth it to go to a place that cares about their patrons. Also, their greens dont look like they were fried with a blowtorch.

I always enjoy playing golf at Golf Club of Oregon. The course is lovely, the squirrels running around the course always make me smile, and the driving range is nice. The staff has always been friendly and helpful when Ive played. Im not a very experienced golfer, but I never feel rushed or judged when I play at Golf Club of Oregon!

To anyone ever thinking of playing GCO, don’t! Pay the extra money and go anywhere else. My friend and I went there and we had an issue with another golfer, things happen we let it go, but felt the need to report it. In mid-sentence while trying to explain what happened to the taller, older gentlemen behind the desk, he just walked away from me. Pure cold-shoulder. Absolutely the most inconsiderate and disrespectful thing I’ve seen... He was supposed to be in customer service but he said we were just “yapping” at him. I know there is little to nothing he could have done but all we wanted to do was get it off our chest and he became hostile when we asked why he walked away. It’s sad cause even though the course isn’t in the best shape it’s still cheaper than most, but at this point, Springhill isn’t that much more. Given the amount of courses available in the Willamette Valley, don’t go to GCO where employees don’t care. Go elsewhere. That way you have both better quality employees and fellow golfers.

Easy access to Albany not far off the beaten path, affordable rates, range and putting green, nice atmosphere. Plenty of longer par 3 and 4 holes you will get a nic excersize in if you play 18, not too technical of a course, great for beginners and intermediate players a couple advanced holes and a few places where you might lose a ball or two, no water hazards.
