If I could give him less stars I would. The guy basically stole my concrete software did concrete saw. Did hundreds of dollars worth of work that was not that was not approved by me and then trying and tried to charge me $1200 to fix a Saw that isnt even worth that much.. The owner is very rude

This is a great shop. Very knowledgeable staff. They’ve given me good advice every time I’ve been in there. Today I went to drop off two tools for tune up maintainence and they shared a simple tip and some good advice that got my stuff running tops. They will always get my business.
The owner is just fantastic, he knows what he is doing and is very helpful and friendly. Much higher quality chainsaw chains than you can get at Home Depot or Lowes, and at pretty much the same price, aside of all the time and effort you save with a saw that cuts well. Im sticking with K&S for all of my small engine issues from now on.

5 years ago I bought a Mantis Rototiller from them. I needed some repair and service for it. The person that answered at the place was extremely rude and uncaring about my situation. He sarcastically explained that they would be backed up for weeks. I asked if they knew any other places that would service my rototiller. The person just hung up.Places like that are the ones to stay away from with their total lack of dealing with customer service protocolsFortunately I found a hidden gem business that repairs and services small engines. It is called DAT rentals off Wyoming. Terrific service and got my rototiller repaired and back home in a week! . Tremendous people that work there.
I have been a regular customer for over 12 years now. Awesome service is the only way to accomplish that. Abe will make sure the customer gets what is payed for. Always has a smile and a word of good advice to insure you get the best out of your machine.

They fixed and maintained my generator,ryobi 1800/2200 for a reasonable price and were better than the competition significantly on price. They took a month and told me to expect a month to do the work. Im happy with my experience and their work

Lawn mower just needed tune up. Hard to start. I was told $69 deposit. When I got there to drop it off a young kid asked me what gasoline I used. I said high test from Costco - Answer: thats my problem, gas with ethanol and would have likely ruined my carburetor and gaskets at least. Now, price starts at $109, the cables were checked and good but I would need additional work. Suddenly the estimate is $180. Looks like a pure bait and switch. At least I saw the increase from $69 to $180 before I dropped it off. I am sure it would have cost me much more if I had left it. After reading other reviews my suspicions appear justified. Sorry, I think you should go elsewhere, at least I will.
Was told that they were running a special on mower tune ups and I couldn’t beat the price. The guy told me it would be done in a few days or two weeks at most. After having the mower for 2 weeks I’m told it won’t be ready until the following week. It has been “in their shop” for 3 days now. They can’t seem to handle the workload they have. I would not recommend using their services.

Bought a part there for a 2 stroke engine, then found the EXACT same part online for 700% less than what I was charged here for same part. WOW!!! I mean, I can understand a small markup, but 700%! BEWARE: THIS BUSINESS HAS ALL 1 STAR RATINGS THROUGH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!I just got my Stihl ms250 back from this business. I brought it in 12 days ago for carburetor service. They called me 10 days later and advised that I owed $268 for a carburetor replacement. I never authorized a carburetor replacement! This Stihl ms250 I bought brand new for $250 a few years ago! Why would I pay $268 to have a new carburetor installed when I can buy a new one for less!I went in to speak with the manager but he wouldnt speak with me. After arguing back and forth the sales associate named Tyler finally brought my total down to about $150 which is still way too much and told me his boss wanted me to pay cash.Im sure the boss is going to add a smart response to my review.

I have been using K&S for years and have found them very helpful. As with any business they need to make a profit and pay their employees for personal service. I could never in good conscience ask them for advice and go somewhere else to purchase an item.
Quick easy sharpening of my garden hand clippers and my sewing shears. Both were expensive tools so I am very particular who I will take them to for sharpening. Excellent service and delivered as promised - on time and done right.

I was doing a ton of work in the New Mexico area in Albuquerque and i found this small shop. I was greeted and helped to the fullest extent. I dont get what remarks the other posted was referring to but i felt like i was treated like family there. This young man named Alex i think was very helpful and honest. he didnt try to up-sell me and only sold me what i required. He even repaired a 2 year old mower for a really affordable price. I fully recommend you making K&S your one stop shop as i did !!!
Jim was fantastic. He was kind, courteous and very knowledgeable about the Bearcat trimmer we were looking at. He also walked us through the product concerning maintenance, as well as, dos and donts with it. Also appreciate that fact they were open the day after the 4th, because everyone else was closed. Sorry they couldnt do after holiday holiday like everyone else, but it was nice to see. Old school service was much appreciated, it was great to see that there are still people who care about consumer service as much as we do. Thank you for today, and it is eating the yard like crazy. Very happy for short weeds.

I brought my lawn mower for service, they told me it would be a week. 3 days later then called me and told me it was fixed. It was a brand new mower $120. Money well spent, Tom explained to me about quality gas /stabilizer wow this mower starts on the 1st pull .. awesome service I received and truly recommend k and s service to all my friends and family .
Dont give your money to this business. They speak without respect.Go somewhere where people are appreciated for being interested for the place of business.
If I could give less than one star I would. Be warned they will do way more work then you ask for and then charge you more then the saw is worth to get it back. Basically stealing your saw. Bad business!!!
The customer service at K&S was extremely poor. My dad took his chain saw to get repaired and the employees were unable to repair it after spending $200+. After multiple visits to K&S to repair the chain saw and misdiagnosing the problem, K&S wanted to charge my dad to put the chainsaw back together. K&S employees lack adequate knowledge to repair equipment but had no problem taking his chain saw and money. I strongly advise against taking equipment to K&S for service and/or repair. They did nothing to retain his business.
I did not want to even dignify giving them 1 star, google made me. I took my lawn mower in for service. They were suppose to do the regular service and I asked them to replace a spring on the carb that had broke off. The supposed tech told me I did not know what I was talking about and did not need the spring. He wanted me to buy a new carburetor and that would fix the problem. Also he was trying to tell me that if I would buy $10 a gallon special lawn mower gas from him, It would not happen again. I am not gas product specialist, but I would say that is very expensive. I dont know a single person who uses anything but unleaded in theirs. I would not recommend anyone to ever use this company as to their total lack of professionalism and It is pretty clear they would rather give horrible service for a inflated price. The only reason I took my mower to this place, was because I am short on time .I will just fix the mower myself and have a perfectly good machine without lining these clowns pockets.
I highly recommend K & S Service Center! I brought my chainsaw and weed eater to this business a couple of years ago to see if they were salvageable. I had not used them for years and the old fuel had damaged them significantly. To my surprise, Abe was able to replace several parts and got them both running like new. I also learned not to use unleaded fuel from the local gas station and use a special fuel without alcohol or other additives. What really impressed me was the time Abe spent showing me how to maintain both power tools and how to properly use a chainsaw. I learned about the importance of using protective gear (to include leg and torso chaps) and how to properly sharpen chain teeth and file the depth gauges. Every time I go back to K & S for accessories, fuel or advice I am always treated like family. My wife and I stopped by today to pick up a couple of tools and even though it was busy we still were able to have nice conversations with both Abe and Ron. Great business, great service and great staff!

Abe tries to sugar coat it when you screw up your chain saw chain, but he will steer you in the right direction. Great Service! You can look for the cheapest service, but you get what you pay for. Quality that last is quality worth paying for, especially if you are deep in the woods cutting fire wood.

Visited K&S service center with a non-functioning lawn mower. Waited less than to minutes before Alex came out to help diagnose the problem. He checked the fuel, fuel line, spark plug, and finally found the culprit: the ignition coil was not properly gapped. He made the adjustment and I had a working mower.Alex was awesome, K&S was awesome and Ill be back. Thanks for the help guys.Mitch
Hate this place! Terrible service attitude from staff. The manager was worse. He talked down to me as if I was dumb. They took longer to service my tool than they originally stated. Unpleasant to deal with, late and expensive. I would advise you to find good service elsewhere because you wont get it here.

Recently moved to the area and was looking for a place to purchase a new chainsaw to take car of some trimming that needed to be done at my home and by far i had the best experience ever, Alex helped me out so much and was very knowledgeable thanks to him i was able to get exactly what i needed and even learned a few things i dint know, would definitely recommend everyone!

If I could give K & S and its employees no stars, I would. Went in with my chainsaw chain and bar because I needed a new bar. Was sold a bar that was suppose match/fit what I had brought in. Got home and tried to cut some wood and the chain would not move . The bar was the wrong size. Obviously K & S has employees dont know what their selling or doing. Take bar back and another guy at the counter says they cant take it back because its been used ????? No kidding??? But, heres the kicker, he says he can take it back for $10 and give me one that fits. Never again will I buy from this poor excuse for a repair center.
I took a generator in for service as it was exhibiting a slight misfire while running. Their technician identified the exhaust valve was stuck open slightly, performed a valve adjustment which has the machine running like new. Prices were fair, turn around time was great.

If you wanna get hosed and pay way to much for any repair services go here because they only charge 65 a hr to work on your lawn equipment. The gentleman roughly quoted me 150 -200 bucks to get my mower tuned up. NOT TO MENTION THE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE and the crazy pitch on gas. Ive never heard anybody in my life tell me my mower doesnt run properly because i use unleaded gas from the gas station. No wonder the big wood statue got burned down...Oh btw I took my mower to Aragons and they provided a complete tune up and blade sharpening for 75 bucks.
Tl;dr: They took advantage of an old man and refused to even apologize, much less make things right.Heres my story.My grandfather has been taking blades and lawn equipment to this business for years, and he really liked them. A few weeks ago, he called to have his lawnmower picked up so they could replace a wheel. This shouldnt cost over 60 dollars, 100 at the most.Two weeks later, he called to see when it would be ready. This shouldnt be a very disrespectful thing to do, but apparently this really frustrated the owner, Abe. He was told that his General Service Repair would be done shortly, and that they would get to his wheel next. This is rather odd, as he didnt ask for a general service repair, he just wanted them to fix his wheel. They say that it had been written down on a sheet of paper that hadnt ever been shown to him (until much later, when his family got involved), and that it was his word against theirs.He told us about the situation, and we decided to contact them to see what was going on. The reason we trusted him over the store owners, even though he is very old, is because he told us the day before that he was calling to just get a wheel fixed. We have been mowing his lawn pretty regularly up until then, and havent had any issues with the actual mower.When we contacted them, they grew meaner and meaner. I got involved, as the situation felt like they were trying to take advantage of him, and they finally agreed to have a meeting with us.When we met, they started out by telling us what a great job they had done fixing the mower up. We explained that we didnt want that work, and he had only asked to fix the wheel. They grew angry, began yelling, and the owner, Abe, left mid meeting in a rage. All we wanted was an apology, and instead we got screamed at and called names. If you want blades sharpened, try Precision, and if you need lawnmower repairs, go to Aragon. Both are cheaper, and they are much nicer.

Strange: I have been doing business with this company for years and years. Primarily yearly mower service and parts. This year at the new store (after a 20 min drive) I brought mower in for service was told it was no good they put mower back in truck. Did not offer to show or sell me a new mower... New ones were all over the place. Very indifferent empolyees. So I bought a new one elsewhere.Im Sorry to disagree with you And also sorry that it took me a year to respond bu this is the first time Ive seen your comments. This took place at your new palce of business. And I had no converstation with anyone certainly not electric mower just the words of the gentelman who pulled on the starter rope and said its bad and put it back in the truck. I do recall the discussion with Angel whose comments I took to heart New gas only Chevron etc. I brought my mower in the year before this visit and had it tuned up no discussion with any one. It ran well for a year. Then I brought it to your new place and all this happened. Sorry i am such a bother to you.

I dropped off a generator yesterday in the AM by mid afternoon they called me back and advised it was beyond repair . Alex took the time to show me the issues found on the generator explaining in detail why it would be best not repairing.I was presented an alternative besides repair, the purchase of another “new” generator with warranty .

My Snowblower had been at another ABQ repair shop for ~3-4 months with absolutely no forward progress and unending excuses, I picked it up and called K & S. I explained to Abe that I lived in the East Mountains and had 18 of snow after the recent blizzard this past weekend. I dropped off the machine and within 4 hours they had replaced the carb, starter rope, spark plug, changed the oil, adjusted the belts and given the machine a once over. It now starts on the first pull and runs like CRAZY!!! I took it home and cleared ~1000 of driveway with ~12 of snow along with paths from my barn to the pastures where I have 6 horses and 5 llamas. This made feeding SO MUCH EASIER!!!THANK YOU Abe and the guys for helping me out of a bad situation.JeffStanley, NM
