Very Frustrating, Disappointing, & Expensive ExperienceI had the Glass Doctor at 3601 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111 repair a 6’ X 4’ window in my staircase that had lost its seal.They quoted me $574.00The 2 man crew were always late, not by minutes but by hours. They showed up knowing they were going to work on a second story window but they didn’t bring a ladder. They used my ladder. I had high quality 3M UV block film on the window. They broke the inside glass with the UV film on it. They called and told me that they broke the pane with the UV film but I would have to pay for it.The cost to replace the 3M film would have been over $300 plus the cost of the pane they broke. They absolutely refused to pay for it. Instead, they said they would replace the pane they broke with a Low E glass that blocks UV rays and charge me $200.They broke my glass but insisted that I had to pay for its replacement.The final bill was $782.00, which was $208 more than Glass Doctors quoted me. To add insult to injury, they charged me a “disposal fee” to throw away my glass that they broke!They returned the window and it was really dirty and smeared on both sides. I asked them to clean it and they said the window could not be cleaned for 2 days because the silicone sealer was curing and would smear if it was touched.Well my wife has tried to clean the window and discovered it was smeared with what is probable the silicone sealer they used and a something whiteish that smears but can’t be removed. We’ve tried all kind of cleaners that internet articles recommend but nothing works. Now this smeared window looks far worse than it did when it had the broken seal. I also discovered that they broke the window trim, but they didn’t tell me nor did they offer to replace it.Every part of this experience has been frustrating, disappointing, and expensive. AND I NOW HAVE A WINDOW THAT LOOKS MUCH WORSE THAN BEFORE. MY WIFE IS LIVID!!!

$650 for a window that inexplicably cracked 2 months later. Supposed to be safety glass since it was by a door - turns out they installed plate glass. NO WARRANTY WHATSOEVER. Total waste of money and time. They refuse to make things right.

So they told me it would take about an hour to do my windshield. I walked across the street and bought me some tacos and cheesecake and when I came back it was ready to go :-)Absolutely love these people they will be my only glass company for now on

Ive been needing to get a front windshield for sometime and this other place I had already been working with was taking forever to recieve the windshield, so I decided to take action and give the Glass Doctor a call. They were super quick and after I made my payment the next day the windshield had arrived. As soon as I showed up in the morning they instantly pulled up my car, got it in the shop, and I thought it would be longer, but in fact it was much quicker then I anticipated! The entire staff is a good family and works hard to get the job done and does everything in their ability to meet their customers needs. Highly recommend!

Our Ford 350’s moon roofs track assembly broke and was leaking air was well as rain. We needed the roof looked since rain storms moved into Albuquerque and it was leaking. I contacted the Glass Doctor to see if I could set up an appointment. They told me who drop by so they could assess they roof. During lunch, I dropped in and they were able to take the truck. They gave me a ride back to work. The next day it was repaired. It was amazing that they had the parts in stock! Very professional and turn around was amazing. Not cheap, but great customer service and quick and professional work! Very pleased

Dont know about this place, according to different professionals, they bust regulator on purpose. Im in Cali now, and they only charge 60 for rebuilt. I hope they did everything in good faith, not everyone else just trying make extra money

I needed two windows to be replaced. I worked with Julio and asked what the price would be to replace the glass in the two windows. He didnt say anything at the time and did not want to give a quote for the job. Windows size was 2 X 2. A women called me on Sunday and she said the windows are done and the cost is $800.00. I found this to be very high considering the cost from another quote was far less than the cost given. Julio should have called me with a price before starting the work.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!Worked with business to get a quote to replace a damaged window. Note: they only work on the actual glass, if the frame is damaged, go elsewhere, though they wont tell you that up front or not until after youve paid their non-refundable 50% deposit, despite if the quote is correct or not. They charge $150 dollars for cheap window balancers that you can get from a dozen websites including Amazon for $22. They claim to charge $132 per window to install the balancers, something you can do yourself, just watch a youtube video, it takes less than 5 mins per window.Their communication is awful, dont expect someone to come personally talk to you about a quote or desired work a second time without them demanding you again pay their non-refundable 50% deposit regardless if its accurate or not.Highly discouraged using, they upcharge their products by up to 700%, lie, and communicate extremely poorly. Make sure you ask a million questions to know what youre getting yourself into and still expect an awful experience and paying way too much.Do NOT expect communication on when one should expect them, got the response ehh maybe today, maybe Monday, ehh well get out there sometime. Youll have to call them to get anything going, and if youre unhappy with something they sold you and return it in 100% new state (even 12 hours later), dont expect any refunds.God bless you if you decided to use this company

2 guys sowed up and looked at my 2 Windows. They kept going back and forth to examine the problem. Then called there office to see if Im willing to pay a ridiculous price to fix them. I agreed but felt I shouldnt have. They were supposed to have come up the next day to fix them--i never got a call. I called their office and told them to forget it. Sloppy business practices and ridiculous prices. I felt the workers had no idea what they were doing. I seriously recommend people get other estimates before calling this place.

I bought a brand new table, the people who delivered and setup did a bad job. They leaved a lot of debris underneath the glass. When I tried to clean it I shattered the glass.I called glass doctor of Albuquerque late that day, very shortly Julio and Ivan came. Cheap for repairing crack in my windshield from a rock but there is still a crack after they are done. It helped, but it didnt get the job done. You get what you pay for

I was very happy with the work they did on my moms car my truck and my son car. They were polite and they come all the way to your home to do it, no need to go to them. They done two windshield and my sons door glass but also needed to put in regulator and some more things, the experience was amazing and with the best pricing. I recommend them to anyone I know. Was quoted over the phone. Took my car in, was wa picking up my car the professional owner explained the windshield was more. However he discounted the price for my troubles and gave me free crack repair on all my cars. Outstanding customer satisfaction. Love the windshield.

I worked with Julio who stared he would order the correct part of a driver side window motor. Waited a over a week to find They ordered the incorrect part. After almost a additional 2 weeks for the correct part ai decided to cancel my order and not do business with them. They wanted to charge me for the part and refund labor when I asked for part they were upset. I confirmed with car dealership that they part was still the incorrect part. Julio would not return calls nor did he try to give me a refund. After almost a week of daily calls I spoke with Maria who stated she was the owner and would refund me everything but restalking fee.. I waited for over 30days of wrong parts, no call backs and charged for their mistakes. Julio hung up on me after I corrected him for lying that they worked on my car for over 3 hrs. The first wrong part was in and out of the car within an hour. Maria is always in the shop and as the owner she should have taken care of the issue much quicker. Beware bad customer service and unprofessional staff.. many other glass shops to do business with.

Installed home window improperly, left glass all over street, room and yard as well as black tacky substance on window sill and floor that is used to hold panes together Incorrect window size and stops installed. Demanded payment (along with quite a few curse words) before they would fix. Then threatened to take me to small claims court when I wouldnt let them in my home to collect window. I certainly wasnt going to let anyone in my home after witnessing that temper. I have offered to let them come get window when new company is here. No reply. Horrible service.

Avoid them! Ordered two tinted shower doors to be replaced and they never would return the phone calls and were rude when you could get ahold of them and never had calls returned when they took messages for the owners. They finally arrived weeks after they were suppose to be out to put in the doors w one clear shower door. I finally had to go with another company who had my shower fixed in three days of contacting them. Now weeks later after being lied to by Maria that the check for the refund is in the mail still no check. Awful and stressful dealing with them and having to hear about their personal problems and why the service is non existing as if we don’t all have troubles.

Had a freak accident with a sunroof. Dealing with insurance for this claim was a complete nightmare. Accident happened in December and insurance said they would have the car fixed by March. Took it to glass doctor, not knowing what to expect. Julio and his team saved the day! Not only did they help get the insurance to speed up the process, they checked in on us every single day until we had a resolution. I honestly don’t know what we would do if the glass doctor team wasn’t on our side. HIGHLY recommended team of professionals here!!! Customer service doesn’t get better then this. After waking up to 2 broken windows I called around and Glass Doctors was the only one that could do same day. Julio and his team made it to my house across town shortly after, removed the broken windows, and came back a couple hours with the brand new windows. Really happy with how the windows came out, and appreciate how everyone followed appropriate guidelines during the pandemic.

We had a second story double paned window broken on a long Holiday weekend. Glass Doctors were able to give a quote and have the window replaced within a day. Christmas morning, I woke up to find my car had been broken into. After calling the police, filing a report, and contacting my insurance to find out nothing could be done, I began calling around town looking for a company to replace my window. No one answered the phone accept Julio, who told me to come in first thing the next day. Him, his wife, and his crew were personable, professional, and genuinely caring in every aspect of my visit. Julio and his team at Glass Doctor were so helpful. Our car was vandalized while we were sleeping at our hotel. We found out as we were preparing to hit the road. When I called around to Safelite and other big names, they we booking days out. I called at 8 am to ask about same day and Julio promised he could get us in by 10 am - and thats what he did! He team replaced our rear window and it looks like new. We were in and out of the shop in less than an hour. Would recommend anyone to use this business.

Had them come and repair a window which had been vandalized. They showed up that day, came the next to take the glass and had it fixed and install the next day. The window was complicated and they took the time to get it right. Matches the outer tinting and works perfectly. Highly recommend! The owner came out himself, all the employees were kind, hard working and you could tell they cared about me and their work.

I had a new windshield put in a couple of years ago on a different vehicle, so I knew they did good work, quickly, and for better price than anywhere else.Now, I had a small rock hit the driver side and begin a small target looking hole. They fixed it uponmy coming in for about $25. Saves A LOT of money down the road. Very friendly.

This dude “Julio” who says he is the owner literally told me go somewhere else and he doesn’t need my money. He was the the rudest dude I ever met. Hung on me twice and was supposed to be at my house at 11am never showed up then calls and says it’s because I didn’t pay him money for parts and it would take a day or two to come out after I pay a deposit. He said he called me and left a voicemail so I said I returned the call and left a voicemail to confirm them coming. He says well I should’ve left a deposit. Ok yea I’m gonna leave my credit card Info over the phone. Skip this place. This dude is the worst dude ever

They got my glass repaired, but I was lied to about getting the tint on my windows replaced. I was told would get done same day, then told a separate claim has to be filed to get done. Still waiting... No Hopes for that to get done. Also found out that there was a $20 discount off first claim for the holiday. That was never offered.

We had a broken window on Sunday and filled out a request for service that evening. They texted me that night to set up an appointment for the next morning. They came at the allotted time and measured the window. They called within an hour with a quote and were back to fix it quickly.

Way cheaper than safelite.

Seemed eager to help, the who did the repairs was not there. They took a video and my number but never called me back. When I go back and actually get my glass problem taken care of I will probably re-rate.

They never showed up for the estimate. I contacted the man who was supposed to do it. He was rude. He said he could come another time. He didn’t offer an apology and the only explanation was “we just couldn’t get out there.”

I have had a month long ongoing saga with this company trying to get them to replace a pane of glass correctly. They installed 2 pieces of glass where only one belongs. The glass broke after install and needs to be replaced properly with one pane of glass. Of course they charged my account immediately without allowing me to verify the work was done correctly. For three weeks they have been telling me they will fix it but they cannot give me a schedule and do not have glad to install. Poor service!

I work with an insurance company and I had a client who had major damage done and needed someone to go to them the next day on a Saturday! I called 32 other local glass shops and not only were most of them weeks out, but Glass Doctors also beat them on price. I did my personal vehicle and they were quick, came to my place if business and were at least 100 less then the few others I had called! Super happy with the results.

Huge disappointment after reading great reviews. I made an appointment online for replacement glass of a house window that was broken. Immediately got confirmation back that it was received and someone would reach out to me shortly. On the day of my appointment, scheduled 8-12, no one had reached out. I called at 11:35 and was told by Julio that they lost a tech and no one would be coming. Thanks. Glad I stayed home to wait for them.

Buyer beware! This place will say anything to get you in. I called and asked how much my deductible would be with insurance. They said they never charge a deductible. I cancelled with Safelite because they said they charged $100.00. It took them 3 hours to replace my windshield and when the work was done I was told I owed them $100.00 deductible. I wish I had gone with Safelite. They atleast had the integrity to tell me about the $100.00 and would have came to my house to do the repairs.

I took my vehicle in for a chip repair, and when I came to pick it up my windshield was some how cracked. $350 later and a day without my car I got a new windshield in. This place is a scam, employees smell of alcohol, and very unorganized. I wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemies.

Went in for a windscreen replacement and was quoted ~$300 and 30-60 minutes. 3 hours (!!) and a missed appointment later, got charged over $400. Avoid these liars like the plague!
