My wife and I drive older vehicles, because we feel it’s overall less costly than owning new vehicles, with little downside. Our last brand new vehicle was bought in 2013 with less than 30 miles on it. We loved the vehicle, but that didn’t justify the cost. So, we’ve been to AA Auto three times in the past two years. Reading some reviews, I wondered about honesty at first, which always seems to be a concern with anything auto related. After three experiences, I feel that AA Auto is honest and up front. Each time, they told me up front a realistic view on each situation. Most recently, they worked on a 2005, which had a bad fuel pump and leaking water pump. I knew both were a concern—wouldn’t start, and also had a lot of fluid under the vehicle in several places. They inspected thoroughly, and told me that it was really only one leak, not three, and that the fluid was running along the under carriage which made it look like three leaks. Also, when I asked if they guarantee the work they said of course, but also clarified that the vehicle has over 210,000 miles, so they couldn’t guarantee there would be no other problems. This is honesty, which is hard to find. Of course, they are correct. A previous job they did was on an AC unit in an old vehicle. The first time, it wasn’t completely fixed, but they had been honest that they would first fix the likely and cheaper problem, but that another, more expensive part might need completed. Again, up front and honest. The second more expensive part fixed it, it still works, and I feel not only did they back up their word and their work, but also they spoke up before the job, giving a realistic assessment even though it’s something that most shops don’t seem to do, because they’d rather get the car in then say, “Oh, gee. Here’s another issue we hadn’t thought about.” I much prefer an honest business like AA Auto, that tells me up front exactly what might occur, so I can budget accordingly. They tried to save me money by first doing only the lower cost part. They are friendly. They are realistic about scheduling, potential costs, and about what exactly they guarantee. I recommend AA Auto based almost entirely on honesty and frankness. Regarding their work, all three jobs still have good results.

Everyone seems friendly enough but $1800 to swap a compressor and some seals is pretty terrible. The diagnosis was free which is great but it also took 5 hours which seems a little ridiculous when you make an appointment

I had some power steering noise on my 2005 Honda Pilot. AA was pretty confident right away that it was a couple seals that needed to be replaced. They were correct and once they replaced the seals, the problem was fixed. This place is knowledgeable, professional, and the prices are fair.

Whats is your base price for fixing ac on a 03 expedition

Went to the place to get my A/C fixed and they said it they found a leak on the low side Schrader valve. I asked them if that was all it needed to be fixed. They said yes and I paid 247.98 for the parts and labor. When it was done they told me everything was good and my A/C was working great. It was until the next day it was hot af so I turned on my a/c and it started blasting hot air again. I go in to get it checked and now they tell me theres a leak in my condenser and it needs to be replaced. The quote was 679.00. Outrageous after they told me they fixed my a/c and there was nothing else it needed. I asked them to show me the leak and they kept making excuses instead of showing me. Would not go here for a/c repair, its basically gambling your money. Youre better off going to the casino because youll get better chances of winning.

These guys are Definitely crooks. Couldve have bought the parts online for around $350 oem!instead they got me these cheaper after market parts for waay more. The parts for all in all around 900.l. they even made it seem like I couldnt supply my own parts or they wouldnt warranty theme and they made it seem like they would turn me down!An the labor was supposedly another 700.

Steve the owner is one of the most nicest fellas Ive ever met and his crew is also. Kim April in the front very nice ladies all of them are very cordial very very kind and very thorough in remembering detail. Ive taken over two cars since April 2015 and these guys are straight honest not dishonest theyre relentless at fixing your vehicle properly! my first car was a Buick LeSabre and I have gotten several leaks fixed and it cost me a little bit but it was worth it and I went and drove it away off the lot went home and my oil pinned just dropped and I went the next day these guys stripped everything down to find the problem didnt charge me a dime they took care of everything and found out that one of the wires was just pinched and grounding out my second card is a Chrysler Pacifica and I bought it used and I got it from Chrysler in poor shape and these guys @AA picked up where Chrysler left off they fixed my radiator some several leaks and it had issues, a.c. was fixed etc and they kept it in the garage until I was happy and theyre very kind and thorough company I strongly suggest or highly recommend them we are across the street at southwestvinyl and I watch so many cars go in and out of this place all day long so I know theres a lot of folks that are not reporting in on reviews which these people do deserve at any one time they have 30 to 40 cars on standby being fixed thats how much traffic they get but yet theyre still pushing through at good flow. well just thanks for reading this review says Im biased but straight truth and I want you know these guys will take care of your needs and they are honest well beyond the everyone else orother guys or garage repair options. every one of their mechanics everyone of their employees theyre all upbeat people again thanks for reading my review hi5 writing this at 12:16 AM Im going to bed good night.Justin Cramdyingjedi

Completely wasted my time! I called on Friday to set an appointment, they werent available until Tuesday so I waited til then. I take my car in at 9 am to have the AC checked and I get a call 3 1/2 hours later from them telling me that they dont have the equipment to work on my car. They knew the make, model and year of my car so its very unprofessional that they didnt have the knowledge to tell me when I called or at least when I got there instead of wasting my time. I could have set an appointment with someone else days ago but now I have to wait another week or so because all shops are booked this time of year. Polite but very unprofessional!

My experience so far is that I can trust them and they let me know the cost ahead of the work ...

I was passing through from Phoenix to Denver, on my way home for the holidays. I heard a strange noise coming form my drivers front wheel. My hotel recommended AA Auto and boy, am I sure glad they did. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and was able to fit me in same day, and finish my work same day, and got me on the road 6 hours later. The friendly staff made it super easy to wait 6 hours, and they made me feel right at home. I never felt like I was intruding, but the staff made sure I was well fed and well hydrated the entire time. They did great quality work as well. Steve (the owner) took me into the shop to show me exactly where the problem was, and Vickie gave me her honest opinion as to whether or not its safe and reasonable to drive. While I was in the waiting room, there were several customers who popped in to say hi, and many customers with whom I chatted with who had been going there for over 20 yrs -- which says a lot about this shop! This shop is a gem and I wish I could take my car from Denver to AA Auto to get serviced!! Thank you again folks for all your help; I truly appreciate you.

In all my decades of owning cars, I have never had a bill come in for UNDER the estimate. Also in these pandemic days, not a cleaner more disinfected garage around.In ABQ. BEST AC work around with nicest people and labor/parts prices.

I brought my car in to have my AC looked at on my lunch break and the owner himself gave me a lift back to work. My car was done the very next day! This place is fast, reliable, and adds a personal touch to auto care that goes a long way. Ill be back if my car has any more issues.

These guys are awesome. The times i have been there the people in the waiting area share that they have been customers for years some 20 plus. This says a lot. What a great place fix your ride. We lost our ac. Turned out to be the compressor. Steve kept me updated on everything and since we are from out of town he got it done in short order. We also had a computer issue and they tracked it and reset so everything works properly. These are GOOD PEOPLE and GREAT mechanics that will treat you right.

Traveling from Las Vegas to Atlanta had a 2002 Subaru Forester when we lost the AC in Flagstaff Arizona. Made it to Albuquerque found AA Auto and air conditioning Steve Hernandez the owner did the repair at an honest and reasonable price. Actually enjoyed the visit, theres just a lot of yeah we can get it done personality! And a prodigy of what we may be able to contribute or give back to the community. Even if youre passing through Albuquerque this is a must stop. Ask for Steve!

An ok shop if you know exactly what you need. On a routine, all around inspection, they wanted to charge me $200+ just to replace an air filter and to wipe off a bit of battery discharge. They seemed surprised when I said no. I went home and spent $20 on Amazon and 2 minutes of installation work for the filter and to clean the battery. Nice try, though, AA.

Incapable of fixing issue on my vehicle. Was told they dont have enough staff to test vehicle for what issues its causing. Also didnt recieve a call for update on vehicle when told they will call. I took my ac filter out so ac could work better before bringing it in and didnt even bother to put it back in it takes 5 seconds to do that.If they dont have the initiative to troubleshoot my ac right the first time then I doubt they will a second.
