The service supervisor, Paul, was excellent. It is hard to find people with this much knowledge and integrity in today’s world . I will go back to him for all my repairs. His honestly saved me a lot of money. I feel like I can totally trust him, because he is looking out for my best interest, and not his.
I am disappointed with the customer service at the intake of my vehicle. I drove into the garage portion of the service department and the customer service representative had his mask on as a chin guard instead of over his mouth and nose. I asked him to wear it properly and he refused. Not acceptable customer service as far as I am concerned.

The American Toyota Alemeda location has served me with excellence since December of 2012 when I purchased my 2013 Tacoma. Today I own a 2019 Tacoma and each time I come to the location for extended warranty service I receive excellent service from the staff and always leave satisfied. The dealership doesnt have to, but I generally find my vehicle freshly cleaned and shined on the exterior (I am a clean freak myself) and this extra gesture is much appreciated by me. My vehicle is an investment, and I feel better about my investment when I am treated good by Toyota on every occasion.
Had oil change. Spark plug replacement. Tire rotation. V-belt replaced. Returned twice due to engine warning light and low engine power. Truck seems fine for now. Not driving it until I check it out myself.
Not bad, overall. However I was very disappointed during my last service when the service advisor recommended service 20-30k miles after it should have been recommended. Im sure there is a reason Toyota recommends services at particular miles. Why are these recommendations not followed by the dealership?

Did routine maintenance and oil change on Wednesday. All ok according to technician. On Thursday car wouldn’t start when I left Doctor appt across town from my home. Called AAA for jump start. Got home about 30 miles. Backed into garage in case wouldn’t start again. Call Toyota to get 1st appt for today. Car started but engine light still on. Made it to Toyota and after an hour was told I needed new battery. Vehicle is 2018 Highlander with less than 50,000 miles. Toyota location in huge and they didn’t have battery. So they located one and in another hour and a half installed it. Costs more than $300.00 and then they said I needed alignment. Why wasn’t alignment done yesterday as part of maintenance? Add another &150.00 for labor. At service area ftom7:00 am to 9:30 am. I’ve been driving since I was 14. I’m 74 now and have never had to replace a battery. Especially one that cost so much.
I would have given zero stars if that was an option! Since the change in management at Larry H Miller - American Toyota on Alameda, in 2018 or 2019 absolutely nothing has been the same! Most of the service writers are all new so there is no longer continuity and certainly no personal touch or familiarity. There is a lack of communication from the minute you drop your vehicle off. This is the only place I have ever had my oil changed or any repairs done to my Toyota. I have always used full synthetic oil on every oil change. They would have known this if they would have looked at my file and listened to what I requested. But that did not happen the past two times and they have changed my oil with conventional oil. I made them aware of this the first time it happened and of course the service writer covering apologized. I called two weeks ago to schedule my appointment as they ONLY Work by appointment now and let her know I absolutely want synthetic not conventional she said she annotated it. I reminded the kid that took in my vehicle yet again and he said OK he would write it down. Well that didn’t happen apparently no one communicated and when I paid for my oil change my documents said they used conventional oil again. I had the service writer double check and yes… yet again it was screwed up and they used conventional oil! Although they make you schedule an appointment they are still running 1 to 2 hours behind. So you end up wasting several hours of your day just sitting there waiting on a simple oil change to be done incorrectly. Needless to say I did not purchase the oil change package and I will never have my oil changed there again! Nor will I have my car worked on there ever again! I am better off going to Jiffy Lube for an oil change and with some random garage for any other servicing or work that needs to be done on my vehicle as I will get personalized service and they will do the work I am requesting and paying for.

Its hard to believe that the air conditioners are not been checked before leaving where they are built or arriving at the dealership. Weve taken our brand new truck (which we paid a great chunk of money for), each time a reason given for the air not working, but it just seems inconceivable the reasons we are given. The most recent time, the service adviser told us they corporate office in Japan would have to be consulted (theres a corporate office in Plano TX) and that they would need to keep our truck for 3 months. Just to keep in touch, I called a week after and was told that due to covid parts are not available. The woman Rebecca at the desk where we were lent another truck gave use such a huge attitude. We told the service manager and he said he would get with her supervisor. Whether or not that happened, we dont know. I guess we are comparing the service from 2007 to when we purchased our other truck and had it service until before the purchase of this one.
Planned to replace 4 tires due to gouge in one of them. QBecause of low tire mileage, Andy recommended that only the damaged tire be replaced. I really appreciate his honesty. Q
Was not to happy about taking my new car in on my day off. But I am happy they fixed the recall. However my new Camry still smells like gas 4 days later. Very strong gas. Have left all windows open every night in the garage. Still smells like gas🥲
My vehicle completely died. I had it towed to the dealership. They went above and beyond. They worked with the extended warranty company to start my claim. They loaned me a vehicle and they kept me up to date with the status of repairs. I will definitely be using them in the future
Ive become very disappointed with American Toyota. I own a 1988 Toyota pickup and a 2005 Toyota Highlander. After their working on both for years, a year ago they suddenly couldnt find any record of repairing my pickup. They explained that it was too old and they didnt want to work on it anymore.This week, I took in the Highlander because the A/C didnt appear to cool as normal and the right front window would stop closing when the interior was very hot after being parked for hours in the July sun. For these repairs the wanted $1,500 to repair the A/C and $1,000 for the window. Too rich for this retiree. Im afraid that American Toyota has seen the last of our business.

I always take my vehicle to American Toyota for maintenance. I trust them, they provide me with a long and short term look at what is and will be needed, and they usually complete the service within a reasonable amount of time. I also appreciate that I have been with the same service representative, Rich Pohl for several years. I grateful that the dealership has taken good Covid safe measures.
I went into this location for the first time ever to use the service center. I was immediately greeted as I arrived and got checked in fairly quick. The service center held onto the car longer than I anticipated but it was not a big deal. Overall, I thought the inspection, oil change, and checking out all went pretty smooth.
Promptly greeted when I drove in for routine maintenance. Once the car was ready for pick up, they called and informed me that my maintenance plan no longer had any services available and asked whether I cared to purchase a new one. Everything went like clockwork.
I went online to book appt. and did with no issues and when I arrived there was a huge line of cars waiting. Being that this was my first time there I went inside and let them know I had an appt. I was met with a service advisor that rudely told me to go back and wait in line. I then asked if I had an appt how long would it take. He said well we tell everyone it is at least 2 hours (which no where online does it say that). I then was told that people have been waiting a week to get in for service (and had he asked so had I) . I was not able to stay and rebooked my appt for a different day. He was very rude and condescending. So I came back another day. When i arrived I was greeted very quickly in my car and told who my service advisor was. I went inside and was checked in and asked again how long it would be. I was told that because I didnt have an appt it would be a while. I quickly explained that I did make an appt and he just looked confused. So I waited and waited....my car was finally ready and when I was checked out told that this was 1 of 2 oil changes that I paid for....I said wait I paid for oil changes for a year when I bought my car...He said yeah but that is only 2...call the finance guy and complain. Never will I buy another vehicle from this dealership...I spent thousands and after an oil change dont even get my car vacuumed..Jiffy lube does that and you only spend $100. Incredibly disappointed!
I brought my 2018 Tacoma in for 25,000 mile maintenance and for recall repair. Both services were completed within three hours. I was greeted and treated very professionally by the service reps. I also like the process where I was texted prices for repair items and I was able to respond virtually immediately so work could begin immediately.
I’ve been coming to Larry Miller Toyota for over 5 years now but this was the first time that someone actually listened to what I was saying and went the extra mile for me. I had the pleasure of Kenneth bring my adviser, he’s new was only been there a short while but when I asked about having an automatic starter put onto my Avalon limited touring vehicle he said no problem I’ll see what I can find out. After about a half hour he came out to give me all the details on my car and said he had great new for me. As he finished going over the details of the services they had done to my car he said, you already have the automatic started on your car! I’ve had my vehicle for 2 years and no one ever told me this!!! I was over your moon about it’s already being installed from the factory but was upset that my sales guy never even mentioned that even after that’s what I said I wanted before I bought this vehicle .Thanks Kenneth for going the extra mile and making me fall in love again with my car.

Michelle Ortiz promised me a free oil change on this visit stemming from last service when 11 customers with appointments after me for the same service were finished and left before me. Michelle remembered her promise and had it in her records, but said she would not be honoring it because she’s training Kylie and won’t put her through the stress ( exact words) Kylie was extremely rude when I proposed this request. Ultimately I just purchased a new service package which I’ve done at American Toyota for many years. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!

Low tire pessure light not checked. When asked to recheck. the service person removed tne spare tire cover and placed it paint side down on the concrete.
Got my brakes done here and I got nothing but the best service that they could provide. they made sure gather and deliver information on what was going on with my vehicle. my advisor was very helpful and got the work done at a perfect time. Will be coming here again for sure.

I’ve always had issues at this Toyota with the employees being rude. Rebecca scheduled my oil change and had attitude on the phone the whole time. The sales team is alway very nice and accommodating. If Rebecca can’t work well with customers she needs a different job.
Service Department gets a 0 /zero for service! Took them 5 1/2 hours to do a simple oil change!! As I complained about the time, the Service Mgr, David Mirabel, kept saying the delay was due to the computer running slow!! Come on!! Who is he kidding?!! I didn’t see robots doing the service on vehicles! ( robots are run by computers! They just forgot about my car and when I inquired about it, they jumped on it, but still took another hour to get it done!! They should have just told me the truth and I would have been ok with it, however, to blame the computer! Big Blunder!!
Little long on the wait time, was 45 minutes after my appointment before starting, but great service and everyone was super friendly and professional.
This establishment takes forever for basic services. Scheduled oil changes should not take 5 hours. The last oil change took 7 hours. An oil change with an appointment should not take more than an hour-hour and a half to complete.
Took my vehicle for scheduled maintenance. Mel was the person who helped me. I’ve been working with Mel for quite a while and I request him any chance I can because he is so helpful and thorough. He answers all of my questions and explains what’s going on with my vehicle.
Oil change was fine. However work on your customer service. A customer should not just stand there without being helped. In addition it should.not take 15 minutes gor your vehicle to be brought around to the front.
Great service! Even helped my son get an Uber to make it to a school function after dropping off the car! Service advisor was a big help!
We didnt have an appointment but they made room for us and had it ready before noon, even. I also asked them to replace all 3 wipers and they did. I always have a headache dealing with Hyundai so I will be back to Toyota every time.

Bought a car here 6 months ago, did the first service today. Yes, its free, but wow. We had an appointment. After an hour and a half, I went and checked the status. They clearly hadnt even started it, and stated it would be another 25 minutes. Every other person, including most of those that got there after us, had already been taken care of and left by the time I checked. They then rushed through the service and got it done in 15 minutes. Not a mile down the road and the tire light goes off. My sons a mechanic so I had him check it, every single tire is too low (30 should be 36/33). He also doesnt think they actually rotated the tires. Oil isnt super clean either like it should be (didnt drain all the way). Coolant lid is hanging open and washer fluid clearly hasnt been topped off like we were told. There also isnt multi point notes on the invoice. Maybe Ive been spoiled by Honda, but definently not the quality I expect from a dealership.Edited to add: Michelle contacted me and was great and willing to listen. We then went and checked the vehicle again and it was leaking oil on our new driveway. The gasket was not appropriately tightened, which can cause the engine oil to leak and then the engine to seize. So, we returned to have everything fixed. It was done correctly this time, but we have now wasted 5 hours of our time for a simple oil change and check up. It would be cheaper to pay for this elsewhere. Thank you Michelle for your kindness.

On my 2017 Tacoma my appointment was it 10:30, which was competed at 2:30, just for a oil change, thats very long i understand the shortage of man power but to wait that long when youre from out of town, and they wont let you use a loner, to run around town to complete other chores, I have been doing business there for a very long time, I understand the coved thing but thats long sorry, wasnt happy, I also had my 2016 done todays before,for a oil change,thats was a other two and a half hours.
My service advisor was great and the service was great. My only issue was that my car smelled like gas for a few days after the service.
Really appreciated the courtesy and professionalism of a David Mirabal, I believe. He noticed a loose nut on my suspension that saved me big time.
Kept for 2hrs for a 5 point inspection and didnt even give me a call that it was ready. Went back 2 and half hours later. Got the car and no oil change was done when clearly the tag in the car showed oil change at 10000 miles my car was at 17000 miles. Did oil change in less then 30min. Crazy crazy not happy at all.
The technician failed to secure underside panelWith push tabs. This resulted in me driving home 15 miles to find the panel to be unsecured. I had to purchase push tabs to secure underside panel.
I always come here for my car’s maintenance. I asked to check my blind spot monitoring system as it seems it no longer was working. I was told a 2 hour diagnostic would cost $270. I passed on the diagnostic.I am disappointed that no one told me it was a matter of working through the menu on my dashboard. It would have cost $270 for a simple fix. I feel like it affected my trust in American Toyota for future maintenance. I’m really disappointed as this was not my first experience with them that felt like a bit of a scam. I want to trust my dealership to take care of my car. But now I am hesitant.Also, I dropped my car at 7 am, my scheduled time. My car was ready at 11:15 AM. I was told it would only take 1 to 1.5 hours. Poor communication about time.

I had my first oil change, and they dropped my vehicle on the crane and put a dint in the door. I will give 3 stars for telling me what happened and giving the opportunity to fix there mistake currently it is nearly impossible to contact management and Human relations with this company.
On this particular visit, the service was actually quite good. However that has not been my experience every time Ive gone in.
