She did an amazing job. I had an intricate large dress and she was able to do get it fitted! I’m so glad I found her for alterations, I was worried no one was going to be able to alter my dress (two different places told me they couldn’t).

One star is a generous review for the way this woman talked to me. I called to inquire about a quote and she was EXTREMELY rude. She stated that if I want a cheap job go to a cleaner. She reiterated this five times while refusing to give me any information. I NEVER indicated that I wanted a cheap job. The word quote set her off. It was bizarre. She needs to work on her customer service skills. Im aghast at her behavior. She was refusing my business without meeting me or seeing my dress.

Mansureh helped fix my dress after the wedding dress shop did a rather poor job. The bust and ribcage area was far too tight, and the straps kept falling off my shoulders. Despite having next to no material left on the inside to let it out, she was able to expand the bust area and make it fit better. She also added a beautiful bustle that tucked under instead of over, which I loved. Many dress shops want to pin everythine outside, but that changed the whole look of my dress. Most importantly, I was traveling back from Japan (military family) for our reception, and we only had 4 days to make it work. She got it done in time, and Im so thankful for that. From the moment I walked in I knew I was in the right place. Mansureh is such an incredible women. Did you know she worked with the Kennedy family?! I learned so much about her. We are so lucky to have her in Albuquerque. She is extremely good at what she does. Which come with a price and is extremely fair. You get what you pay for. Every wedding dress is different. You cant just call and get a price. She needs to be able to see your gown. Example : my dress has two layers different lengths on the train. How would she know that without seeing it. I find it rude people call her and expect her to just give a flat rate. That would be unethical to do. It made me feel confident that she knows her profession well enough to explain that. I would be concerned if she didnt and just gave a flat rate. She works out of her home. Just like anyone else . YOU SHOULD RESPECT that persons home. She is kind enough to welcome us into her home and provide a safe place. The women who are complaining about her asking them to take off their shoes are just being petty. That shouldnt be a complaint. She emails with us great detail what is expected. Theres absolutely no surprise. She does everything on her own. I absolutely love her. If youre a bride looking for someone whos professional, kind, welcoming and the best at what they do. Mansureh is a must! Ten out of ten! 💜

I came for a simple alteration (shorten the hem of my bridesmaid dress). I cleaned my shoes ahead of the visit but she noticed a tiny spot on my shoes and was upset. She was very concerned the spot on my shoe would damage her $7k Persian rug - surprising ask if you are operating a business. Why not put a mat down if you are operating a business to the public? Overall it was a very strange experience.

Mansureh did an excellent job with my dress. It had to be resized and I came to her with a few extra pieces of lace and pretty big expectations. She did a magnificent job. Not only did it fit perfectly but she made it so you could not tell there was even a seam, inside or out. It was just amazing. Also the hem was done perfectly. I got my wedding dress from Davids Bridal but had heard awful stories about them when it came to alterations so I did some researching and found Seams & Sew On and I am SO glad I did. I took her my gown 6 weeks before my wedding and was telling her that I felt my dress was too heavy and was having some buyers remorse. Well she told me she had an idea and showed me how we could fix that and I loved it even more! It was almost like a custom gown! My mom and I loved her so much, we sent 4 of my 6 bridesmaids to have their dress altered to her. I think you really get your moneys worth and I will recommend all my future brides to her! First 2 pictures are from the day I bought my dress at Davids Bridal, second two are when I had my fitting and the last one was from my wedding.

Unfortunately Davids Bridal failed me in so many ways, first my consultant ordered one size smaller then what I was fitted for. Long story short I was told I would try on my dress at my alteration appointment. I canceled my alteration appointment with Davids Bridal and set up an appointment with Mansureh (owner of Seams and Sew on). When I tried on my dress on it was obvious it was a size too small. Mansureh explained to me due to the style of my dress it would be very expensive to let out and correct. So I went back to Davids Bridal in tears, explaining what was going on. The size I needed was no longer available so guess what their solution was?! To give me the floor model!!! The dress was dirty, had been tried on several times, buttons were missing, zipper was broken etc. I went back to Mansureh, she took a look at the dress and advised me to have it dry cleaned first then we could have the alterations done. Fast forward to TODAY ..... I had my final fitting and its PERFECT!!! Mansureh has miracle hands. She fixed everything, missing buttons, she added hooks to support the buttons in the back, added new loops for the buttons, fixed the zipper and fixed all the beading. Best of all my wedding dress bustle is flawless, unique and hidden. She told me today she alters each dress like if it was her own daughters bridal dress. Do your self a favor if your a bride to be, take your dress to Mansureh for alteration.

Mansureh is an incredibly talented seamstress, and Albuquerque is lucky to have her!I bought my dress on a preowned wedding dress website from a woman who hadnt worn it for her wedding, but had bought it as a sample - needless to say, it must have been tried on a million times, because it had several tears in the very delicate fabric, the lace was stretched out and peppered with holes, and the buttons had completely fallen off. It also was a couple sizes too big for me and too long, and the way the lace was at the bottom required it to be shortened from the waist, not just hemmed. I brought it to Mansureh thinking it was a lost cause, and to my surprise she told me shed be able to fix it, make it fit me, and even add a sweetheart neckline.After she was done altering and repairing it, it seriously looked like a brand new dress! The tears were gone and the several imperfections in the lace had disappeared. She even went above and beyond and made some serious last minute alterations. Considering the shape the dress was in when I brought it to her, how delicate the lace and satin fabric were, and also that it is not a typical wedding gown - I couldnt have asked for a more capable seamstress.It ended up being the most beautiful dress I will probably ever wear, and I got so many compliments on the wedding day. I completely recommend! She is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely knows what she is doing! I wouldn’t leave my wedding dress alterations in the hands of any other seamstress! She goes above and beyond for her clients. My wedding dress fit beautifully ! She is very detail oriented and even made loops for the buttons on the back of my dress so the zipper and everything laid flat and beautifully.

Wedding gowns or bridesmaid dresses altered to perfection and very affordable! My sister and I have both had our wedding dresses altered by Mansureh as well as bridesmaid dresses! Each time I have been there I have been welcomed into a beautiful, warm, well-kept home and my dresses have always been altered perfectly and in a timely manner (I recently had a bridesmaid dress completely altered in less than a week!). Her prices are extremely competitive because she works out of her home and saves money by not having to rent space in the middle of town. She has done this work for many years and has worked with celebrities in the past. She is an artist and enjoys making stunning gowns for women. She is absolutely the best and most affordable choice to make in Albuquerque.Tips before going:1. Wear slip on shoes or easy to remove shoes at the door.2. Always bring the shoes you are going to wear with the dress and make sure they are clean! She has multiple beautiful handmade rugs throughout her home that dont like dirty shoes on them.3. No men allowed inside so leave your guy at home if you dont want him sitting in the car waiting for you.

I had Mansureh alter my wedding dress she did an amazing job! She took out beading and lace and you can’t tell. I would recommend her to anyone she is very very talented. She is very nice and welcoming.She also altered my mother’s dress for my wedding it looked fantastic.

I had a great experience working with Mansureh. She is an expert at what she does, which is why it was so easy to trust her with my dress. The place where I purchased my dress didn’t have an appointment for alterations for another two months. Mansureh was able to do my dress fitting, do the alterations, and get the dress back to me, all in ten days from the day I called her. My dress now fits perfectly and has a beautiful bustle. I feel very lucky to have found her.

This was such a wonderful experience. Mansureh was very professional, knowledgeable, experienced and truthful. She bustled my dress in such an ideal way so that it looks the best and wouldn’t compromise the delicate nature of the material. She was so precise in her measurements. My dress fits like a glove. She takes pride in her work and will not alter a dress without seeing her bride in it first. Her work is done quickly. I got my dress completely altered in a week. She took in the shoulders, added a heavy duty hook where the dress zips up in the back, hemmed the under skirt, fixed a tear in the bust, created an under bustle with 4 layers of material (24 heavy duty buttons) and created an outer bustle with the top 3 layers of fabric (3 hooks) and reattached the sparkles one bead/sequins at a time and last, she steamed and wrapped the dress. Her work is tedious, meticulous and just pure perfection. I wish I could have coffee with her and listen to stories about her life. She is quite an intriguing woman with an awesome history in life and fashion design. Thank you Mansureh. I can’t wait to wear my dress.

Mansureh is a master at her profession! She was very professional, cares very much about her work and clients and left me with no doubts once I left my wedding dress with her for alterations. We reviewed a couple of bustling options, and I am very happy with how it turned out. You will pay more for her work than elsewhere but she does 5-star work.

Mansureh is an amazing seamstress. She is very patient and extremely skilled at what she does.I had received my dress literally 4 weeks prior to my wedding day and I really needed to have my wedding dress tailored ASAP. I expressed my concerns about the time constraint and things I wanted to change about the dress. She reassured me that everything can be done on time and the changes on the dress are possible - she was very true to her words. She finished within a week. She even made a last minute adjustment on my dress when I was picking up my dress after I expressed concerns about the dress.I highly recommend her for wedding dress adjustments because she made my experience very pleasant and stress free.

I came in expecting an okay alteration on my bridesmaids gown. My expectations were exceeded. From the very first fitting, she knew exactly what needed to be done to make this dress perfect. She was amazing! My wedding dress was huge and I thought the alterations would change the design of the dress. When I went to my first fitting she told me how she was going to fix it and it would look the same. It only took one fitting for her to fix everything. Amazing work. Flawless to be exact. She worked with my schedule and had 3 dresses done for me with in 2 weeks. You may find a cheaper price some where else, but you get what you pay for. Won’t be using any other seamstress from now on. She’s amazing.

Very uncomfortable and humiliating experience. Upon arriving I introduced myself to Mansureh and as we got to the dress that I brought in to be altered. She asked me what was the occasion. After telling her it was for a wedding. She told me the dress was and I quote “Ugly and not suited for a wedding” “Material is cheap” She asked for the price of the dress and followed by telling me I could have gotten a less expensive dress on E-bay based on how cheap it looked. I felt very insulted and uncomfortable. Even if you believe or are the best at doing something. Witch I can neither deny or confirm with this particular seamstress. I do think that treating people with respect is key. I went for a dress alteration not for a rude and thoughtless comment. I simply had to change into my clothes and respectfully tell her that I would be looking for someone else out of discomfort. Manners and kindness go a long way regardless of culture. I will be looking for someone with better people skills to handle the task.

Long over due review! Mansureh Is a Miracle worker, she saved my wedding dress. I currently live in Hawaii, and had my wedding dress shipped from London, to Denver, to Hawaii. I found a place in Hawaii to hem my dress, and they did a horrible job. I did not have much time to get it fixed again in Hawaii. I flew out to NM with the dress, and my aunt found Mansureh online. She had great reviews, and her website looked very professional. We went to see here 5 days before my wedding. She was able to fix everything!! She did it in three days and it was perfect! I highly recommend Seams and Sew on alterations. Thank you Mansureh!

Mansureh is a wizard! She took a lace dress I had bought from a French designer online and remade it with a double layer slip and cups. She created a gorgeous dress for me which I love. I am very happy with her work. Shes also a lovely person and was kind to show me her gorgeous collection of rugs and art. Shes the real deal, ladies, and will help your dress fit well and make you look classy on your big day! Highly, highly recommend.
