Used to be the best firearm store in NM! Better than Valley Pawn (2nd best sadly theyre not selling firearms at all) Have been going to Rons for years from down south two hour drive, but they had such a great wide verity of firearms it was worth it, sadly they stopped selling instore and started selling online, but its just not the same. lots of other gun stores in Albuquerque you can go in person and meet friendly staff. No longer at Rons. Less than 1 Star
Was sat in Loyola’s Restaurant doing our Breaking Bad/BCS grub and I spotted this place. I offered a visit to my 12 year old and he was out the door in a flash! Although we made it clear we were not buying as from UK, staff were very helpful and let my lad handle what took his fancy! The place seemed to have everything and was interesting to look around. The stuffed animals as well as the guns. We were told where my lad could practice at a local range - oddly it took him 24 hours to pluck up courage and loved that too.
Was really interested in seeing what this place had to offer since they had a good reputation. Checked their website and found out that they only deal in auction style sales. Saw some guns that I wouldnt mind having but not worth my time or hassle trying to bid on a firearm when I can go to any other gun store in town and find the same or comparable firearm for a buy it now price and be done with it. Definitely had the potential to gain some new business but not now.
Very helpful about some questions I had about shipping firearms back to the original owner. What were the legal obligation and how to insure it was done properly and secure. A real eye opener! These guys are really good!😁
I was a Regular customer of Ron Petersons when the showroom floor was open, great customer service very knowledgeable staff and huge selection of old and modern firearms. Due to Covid they decided to shut down their in-store viewing and buying. I havent been able to purchase a firearm at a reasonable price since it went to online only. Now it goes to the highest bidder. Sadly this pillar of 2A rights is fading slowly with only a building to remind us of the awesome store that was
They have a good selection of firearms across the board. The prices are a bit high, but not unreasonable. Customer service can vary wildly from person to person. My experience was very poor while a friends was very good.
Have been a customer for years and a employee, when shop was open it was the best. But now that its only online with no in store it wont last...Albuquerque has lost a pillar to the 2A
I been going to RPFs for a long while. They have good selection of used fire arms. My wife bought a 9mm Smith and Wesson just a few days ago and the lady that help her was really nice and knowledgeable of the product she was selling. I highly recommend it! By the way the weapon she bought was at a very good price and in great condition!
Guys need to change your store hours to closed on Google
No waiting in line. Friendly staff and very helpful.
I’ve known Ron for 30 years and he is considered the grand dad of the gun shops in Albuquerque. Very interesting shop with many new and used pieces for sale. Gun smithing is available and of a high level of quality.
I haven’t been to Ron Peterson’s in years and it makes me sad to know they’re no longer offering gunsmithing services and have switched to online only. They were royally screwed over by the ART transit system, I left the state for a year and when I came back so many of my favorite business closed or filed chapter 11. I really hoped they sued the city, honestly one of my favorite restaurants had sewage actual human feces erupt from the ground all around their business because of mistakes by the contractors and the city nor the contractors compensated them resulting in costs and loss of business leading to close.Ron Peterson’s had to pivot their business model, auctions aren’t price gouging, having a ridiculous fixed price on ammo is the typical price gouging I see on gunbroker but they aren’t even selling ammo. With any auctions you can pay over msrp but you can also pay under.
Best Gun store in and Around new mexico! Staff are amazing. Courteous, knowledgeable, helpful and fast paced. This store has a very wide range of reloading supplies and ammunition, brand new and vintage firearms both new and used. I recommend this store to everyone who asks where to buy a reliable firearm at a great price.Pete C. was my sales associate and the best one i could have asked for. Before i left i could all but take my firearm apart. Very positive and passionate about firearms as well as a great customer service rep. Highly recommend, 5 stars for Pete C.
They dont sale fire arms or amo anymore, except for online orders.
This use to be my top shop in all of New Mexico. Now they are online one. So at this time I will no longer buy from here. This was the one place I still enjoyed going. There is nothing like walking in, picking up a new tool and seeing what it really feels like in your hand. Im very disappointed how all of this stores functions acted during covid as well. Other stores such as BMC got through it. So Im pretty upset. Im sorry Ron, but this will be the undoing of Petersons gun shop. Farewell Mr. Peterson
Ive been a long time customer here for years and I have always received great service I,love this place. They have everything you could possibly need. But my last visit here did not go so well and I was extremely dissatisfied. Well see if I ever decide to go back.
After visiting other shops, I was starting to think that nobody sold black powder weapons or accessories any more. Then I visited Rons.. Wow, he has an amazing collection and I was made to feel very welcomed and was able to purchase everything I needed and more. Keep up the good work guys and gals
Simply put, this is the best gun shop in the state of New Mexico, and Ive been to many in this state. The selection is second to none, prices are very reasonable, and I got a Mini 14 with mags and other accessories for what retailers charge for the price of a brand new Mini 14. In addition, this establishment is extremely friendly to LGBT customers, which puts them miles ahead of your average gun shop. Ill never shop at any other gun store, this place won me over.
Waste of a store front
Not a friendly shopping experience. They make you feel like they are doing me a favor by letting me shop there. I will go there in a pinch.
Nice place, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very helpful. Good place to go for Oddball type guns. Found a old pepper box 4 barrel pistol cheap. They even carry obsolete ammo. Highly recommend!!!!!!
Ron Peterson appraised my father-in-laws gun collection, giving us estimates for the retail and wholesale values for each item. Rons knowledge of guns and their values is practically encyclopedic. I double checked some of the prices he quoted out of curiosity, which verified both his honesty and his expertise. I cant recommend his business highly enough!
Bought my shotgun and rifle here few months ago, great customer service and friendly.
Stopped in earlier to pick up some cleaning supplies and bipod for my new 10/22; Im also new to shooting so I had some very basic questions about cleaning and disassembly. The salesman was great, he helped me find what I needed but he said he was new so he asked one of the gunsmiths to come out and go over a couple of things with me. They showed me how to break the rifle down and went over how to do a basic cleaning. Very friendly and knowledgeable! Shooting can be intimidating for a newbie but they were patient and answered my questions and really went out of their way to make sure I was happy. Will definitely go back for all additional purchases. Great experience, highly recommended!
Im very disappointed with the customer service of this place, I walked in to look for my first shotgun, the place looked fully staffed, I did not get a single hello, or welcome, or what brings you in today?, after I walked in, two younger guys walked in and immediately got helped by a salesman. I had to ask the same salesman questions, in which he answered all of them reluctantly, after he helped the younger and obviously more inexperienced customers first. The salesman was rude and cocky, instead of asking me for help, just stared me down like if I dont belong in the shop. What a shame as Ive heard many good reviews about Mr. Petersons gun shop. Employees need a lesson or two in common courtesy towards potential buyers. Lost my business
I stopped in on 12-4-2019 at 5pm. First impression was WOW, what a cool selection.New, used, milsurp. Scanning prices, thought not bad. Finally found the one at 5:45. Very, very fair priced, didnt even bother to haggle. My choice. Staff very helpful. Helped me find ammo I needed even though they were trying to close shop. Even test fired the gun, I didnt know they even did that. Staff were also knowledgeable, I was considering a 2nd must have, but was informed ammo for it was tough to find. Thank you, thats honest. Will definitely be back.
I went there to look for a magazine holster, and had a few questions. They did not have a magazine holder. But the gentleman behind the counter answered my questions and then gave his magazine holder of his belt. That was very awesome. I will do all my business through this shop.
The workers are very rude and not that helpful. Ive gone in and waited for close to a half an hour just waiting to ask a question. More often than not when i walk in i get dirty looks from the employees. I feel very unwelcome when i go. It seems to me that they are only nice to you if you are there to buy an expensive gun. There buy back prices arent that good either. Ive seen used items with missing pieces with sometimes up to 60 dollar price tags but when i got to try and sell something they tell me i cant even get 20 dollars for it when they are selling the same thing with the same missing parts for over 60. The only good thing about this shop is they have military surplus ammo for cheap. They have a good selection of firearms but sometimes the prices are incredibly high for what your actually getting. I hold this shop as a last resort. They need some serious help with there people skills because I am sure they have lost money over it. They definitely lost my money. I will only buy ammo from them and nothing more.
Stopped by Ron Peterson to by some ammo and the gentle man was really nice, had a funny personality. Made my experience that much nicer. I enjoy Ron Petersons they have a large selection, including accessories. They also carry unique guns. Have handicap accessible parking.
My wife and I purchased a pair of firearms from Ron Petersons and they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Ive since made another purchase from a different store and now see that was a mistake. Ron Petersons is likely the best spot in ABQ to buy a quality gun. I actually trust these guys with my ammo and future firearm purchases. Wont go anywhere else again.
Seem knowledgeable. Try to find the younger guys. They are very helpful. My younger son loves to visit! Like an interactive gun museum.
Brought in items for sale based on the recommendation of an estate sale company; I feel that I was treated fairly and well through the entire process. Staff were friendly, engaging, and I am happy to recommend them.
My 1st Gun shop in New Mexico and I loved it got my 1st gun on order and the price was perfect 👌 everyone in there chill and get it done and they don’t rush the buyer that top tier Gun shop 😎👍 lots of great guns 🔥🔥🔥
Hey I was wondering if y’all had any Glock 23 preferably gen3 but any will do, and if not I’m stock how long would it take y’all to get them back in stock.
I bought a vintage German double shotgun from them online. The gun was waaaaay nicer than I anticipated when I got it on hand. They were very professional and courteous on the phone and their shipping was expedient. Gun was well packaged for transit. Id buy from them again in a heartbeat
I bought a used shotgun for the first time at RP’s over 25 years ago that I still own and use all the time. I went back and bought a used semi-auto shotgun a few months ago. Great experience and the guy who helped me this most recent time hung on every word I said and was committed to making sure I got what I wanted. As far as I’m concerned, this is my gun shop. Highly recommended.
I felt like my mind was going to explode (in the best of ways) the first time I walked into Ron Petersons store. Their selection of used firearms is generous, the staff is polite and helpful, and they always seem to be the only store where I always find--The One! Never a bad experience!
Most people who spend the time to place reviews are disgruntled. Happy customers rarely bother. I have always had a good experience. Excellent selection. Prices are negotiable unless red tagged. Above average knowledgable sales people are mostly retired military and law enforcement.
In several of my experiences here a few of the employees have a rude elitist mentality. I’ll be going to Abq guns, Calibers, Omni arms, etc.
Ron Peterson firearms is a great environment, went in today and purchased a desert eagle, they were knowledgeable and quick to find me the gun I desired. Not only was the staff friendly but completely professional they were fast to give me the lowered price even though the tag was higher price and I was willing to pay it. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in NM.
Great customer service. Chris answered all of our questions and provided us with outstanding advice on our purchase. We will definitely be back.
Just purchased two firearms from Ron and gang-----great service. Ron had it when no one else did. Sales staff were excellent, prices better than web. I will return and I will tell all of my friends to visit. I just cant say enough good things about this store. They are truly a cut above the rest.
When walking in to Ron Petersons you get the feel of a western gun store. There are mounted animals and gives a very warm authentic feel. However, the prices are not as good as people say they are. Some guns are beating the online prices but not the ones people really want, like big brands such as Glock, Smith and Wesson, and Sig. Ron Peterson has a very limited selection when it comes to holsters, and gun accessories. Their trade values are terrible. I brought in a rifle and they offered me only 150. When I took it to another place the other place offered me 200 immediately. Ammo there is also a bit pricey. Some of the workers are rude and have a very bad temper. There is a younger gentleman with dark facial hair that always seems to be kind to me and treats me well. Otherwise, I feel like most of them are some what racist and do not even want to talk to me. They do have a good supply of used guns and have a very knowledgeable some what rude staff.
Ron Petersons is a great shop with a very professional staff. Much of their used equipment is like new, but at just about 1/2 the cost. Definitely pay them a visit before buying new, you may be able to find what youre looking for.
Do u guys carry any glock 19s or 23s would gladly like to here back thank you
Absolutely predatory gun store that has removed their physical location to gouge people on gunbroker, these people are out only for themselves and do not care about providing firearms for a community at fair prices
They have a very large selection of used firearms, most of which are in average-good condition. They do have a small selection of new items as well. It is hard to predict what they will have in stock, and most of their reloading supplies are from the last century. If youre looking to do some shooting, but you dont have a lot of money to spend, this will be the place for you. But if youre looking for a good selection of new or high end firearms/supplies, try somewhere else.
Felt like a kid in a Candy Store! But not just any Candy store . . . One with a cozy feeling with friendly Elderly people who knew what they were talking about and who genuinely wanted to help. And by help I mean educate which is a rare combo in this day and age . . . So Heres why I give it 5 Stars1.Experienced - Sales people who educate you from their own experiences2. Gun Lovers . . .selling guns . . .What a concept!3.Huge Selection - No one I have seen in Albuquerque even comes close.4. Courteous: Manners (a rarity)5. Genuinely Friendly - nice people who care that you have a good experience buying from their store. (Oh so Rare)
In the gun business its unrealistic to expect hand and foot kiss your butt service. Most of the reviews (like the one about wanting magazines) are asking for a an aggressive sales culture like at The Gap or other chain retail. These guys have people come in and want to talk for hours about everything some of which are a little unique but buy nothing. Know something or nothing it doesnt matter but I dont want a service thats pushy. I want a knowledgeable staff to guide and serve in selling me what I need and offering me a fair price on my guns which these guys do. No, you cant expect close to retail but they do offer fair deals. This is the best gun shop in NM!
After failing to find what I was looking for at several other gun shops around Albuquerque, I found the model and finish at Petersons. Before the Black Friday discount, the price was already great (about the same had I ordered online at cheaperthan, paid shipping, then a $50 transfer). Good value, good service...all around good shop.
I found a gun from World War 2 there, they made sure it was oiled and in the best possible condition for its age. They are always friendly and helpful. Along with a great selection of brand new guns they also have a great selection of ammo that you can purchase with out fear of price gouging (even on 22lr). This store also have a section of antique hand guns and hard to find items. I was able to get an extra magazine for my Henry survival rife which kept me from having to go online and pay 2x the retail price.
After trying to sell/trade a couple of guns (for 1 gun) at a couple of other shops in town with indoor shooting ranges, an employee at one of those stores told me to try Ron Petersons... and Im glad he did!!! Not only did I get the best offers for my guns, but they had multiple used guns I was interested in. They were negotiable and extremely courteous throughout the process. They backed the used gun up with a return policy if needed (which was not). Somehow Ive always bought guns from the other stores in Abq, but not anymore! Ill be trying Ron Petersons first!
I went in there a couple of times for FFL transfer and once to buy a rifle. The staff is very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Im very happy to support a great local small business with my purchases and I will definitely buy from them again.
They served my needs admirably well despite my not being terribly familiar with firearms. Place is like a museum. (I mean that in a good way.)
Update, (used to be 1 star) They are much better than 5 years ago. They have more employees and opened another register. They still have some crotchety old men. Try to talk to the short, dark haired girl, she is knowledgeable and nice.
Over priced used guns you can go to sportsmans or cabelas and pay just a few more dollars if not the same price for a brand new one lol you guys need an upgrade
Quality? I would say that this here Browning is a beauty. Man, I love how accurate and smooth it is. I am confident to hit the target. She does get a little shy after a couple-3 dozen rounds...thats a wee frustrating...pretty penny I paid.Appeal? I have reservations walking into Ron Peterson Firearms. The old GUNS sign is cool. The guys in there really are Men With Guns. So as a petite woman who just wants an old rifle to maybe go rabbit hunting with, its a little intimidating when the clerk tells me This gun can be loaded and cocked in your car because your car is an extension of your home. ...this is not a sporting goods store.Service? Good. I liked the gentleman that helped me, nice enough. And although I didnt get a thorough education on all my options, I came away with a weapon of choice. When I returned the next day to iron out some issues I discovered with it, I was agreeably handed to the gunsmith who quickly fired 10 rounds with nary a hiccup, told me the wiggle wasnt a problem, and summarily handed me my gun and returned to the backroom. Humph. I ended up spending a little more at another shop to tighten the adjustment barrel and reassure me that it was in tip top form.Would I go back? I dont know. Its convenient. Maybe for bullets...and reeducation on constitutional rights ;)
Had them handle an FFL transfer. I was served right away, they did the check promptly, I paid and was out the door in under 15 minutes. Didnt have other interactions with them but my experience here was perfectly fine.
Beware!!!! Went in to purchase a rifle yesterday, after filling out all necessary paperwork and was about to head to the cash register, the sales associate processing my purchase became very condescending . I have been shopping at Rons for years and have never had this problem before. Customer service had always been a hallmark at Rons. I purposely shop local, and its a shame to see one of my favorite local shops failing customer service . Needless to say I didnt buy the weapon .
Great location, service and prices. The staff is first rate too.
The prices are great bought a pistol and just ordered a rifle. The staff is helpful and treat you well if you do the same to them. Might me back to purchase another pistol in the near future.
Great store to visit, guys are friendly and know what they’re talking about, great gunsmiths
Good selection of new and used firearms at a reasonable price. Good customer service. Great return policy on used guns.
My name is Joe Diaz, I’ve been doing business with Ron Peterson’s for just over 30 yrs. The Last (Best)Real Gun Store left in the Albuquerque area, Ron likes to Trade,Buy and Sales,The best weapons...From Antique,Cowboy to Military Type Weaponry, Shotguns And The Best Selection Of Pistols and Revolvers Around I will continue to do business with the (Best) !!!Thanks Ron Peterson For The (Best) deals in Albuquerque New Mexico
Good place. Went in just to check it out. Had a lot of used guns. Didnt buy anything. One staff person came to see if I needed help. Asked him where the 30-06 rifles were. Told him if I need more help Ill ask. They have 3 months layaway. Ill probably go back and get a rifle there.UPDATE: JAN 2017I bought a handgun from them supposedly brand new. Put it on layaway and finally picked it up. When I got it the guy wasnt sure if he grabbed the right one. He opened it up and there was no manual no tool to take it apart. I let it slide. The guy pulled a manual out of another box. Then same day I went shooting cleaned it and lubed it like he said and it jammed almost every other round. Went back the next day talked directly to RON PETERSON and told him the problem. He had the gun smith take a look and said nothing was wrong apparently he put 30 rounds through it and it only jammed once. So I took it to a different gun smith(WARRIORS EDGE) and they said it was the spring. They replaced it and I put 100 rounds and havent had a problem since. They made me feel stupid like I was doing something wrong. Im not an expert but a new gun shouldnt jam up that bad. Very disappointing experience
Great service, great selection, good people. Best gun shop in the southwest.
I have purchased a couple of firearms from Ron Peterson over the years, and try to frequent local businesses like this one whenever possible. Today I went in and made a small purchase. I had considered a larger one but the individual at the register, from whom I needed a little assistance, made it clear she was so busy and, clearly, more important than I was, I changed my mind. Generally the sales people are fine, but I have run into rude, self important counter people before and that ruins the experience. In this case I made my purchase from Cabela online.
The guys that work here are pretty much old, rude and cranky. I used to love this place but I wont go anymore because of the countless times Ive been talked down to coming in here. Even if I just want information Im talked at like a child. Even if I do my research, which I always do when buying a new firearm. Ive never felt welcome in that store. Even in the times that I loved going in there just to check it out. Such a bummer.
I purchased a gun from this company because of the knowledge of his staff and the honesty of the owner. I would recommend this business to anyone.
Not a good experience at all. I went there with a friend of mine who just bought a very nice pistol. On his suggestion, I decided to make a visit and see what I could find. Counter personnel was rather rude and obnoxious and apparently not wanting to make a sell today. Being a woman, I run into such men on a daily basis so it shouldnt come as a surprise. However, this was not acceptable. Honestly, I went into the store to spend money but once the jerk began his Im so much smarter than you, lil lady attitude, I turned around and walked right out. If Im not worthy enough to set foot in your store, I sure as hell wont be spending my money there. I will also suggest to my numerous gun enthusiast friends and family that Ron Petersons is not a place worthy of spending your hard earned cash.
I went in looking for deal on a used gun. What I found was that most of what I was looking at was overpriced. Used guns at new gun prices. They had a used M&P .45 for $736 approx. when there was another shop on the other side of town with the same exact gun for $450.Maybe its the ART project thats causing the spike in prices but Ill be taking a break and maybe check back in a few months.
Best toy store ever !!!! always treated me & my family with courtesy & respect. thank you, guys
Gave the shop a call because I had two used firearms I wanted to sell and was advised to bring them into the store for valuation.I was asked by one of the assistants how much I wanted for both pieces?I told the man I was looking for $200 for both items and I nearly fell over when he said I think we can do a little better than that. After a quick test firing, a quick check in the manuals, I was handed a check for $325, which they then cashed for me at the register up front.I was a little reluctant having read the reviews, but can honestly say I have never had a better store experience in my entire life.Exceptional customer service! Thanks!
Swung by Ron Petersons for the first time a few weeks ago. The first thing that impressed me was the massive selection of uncommon guns that you dont tend to see anywhere else. My friend I went with sold them an old shot gun of his for which he got 200 dollars which was a lot more than he was expecting to get. I looked at a few different guns and the staff were more than happy to let me look at them and explain things to me. Their ammo is decently priced, about the same as anywhere else in town. A few weeks later I sold them a gun and got a fair price for it. I then purchased a used Glock and I can tell they go over the used guns with a fine toothed comb before selling them because that thing was almost pristine with the exception of normal wear on the feed ramp. This is my new favorite gun shop and I love that Ron himself is often there assisting his customers and staff.
Went to this business the other day after being away for quite some time. Several employees were present behind the counter, not all of whom were busy with other customers. I was here that day to find a magazine for my rifle and waited a full 3-4 minutes at the counter, not more than 3 feet from 2 stupid asses talking about how one of them used as few words as possible (that one being the chubby idiot with short black hair). Neither one acknowledged my presence or asked if I needed any help and completely ignored me. I was ready to spend 30-50 dollars on that magazine, its really too bad your customer service is so pathetic.
Dont ever get in a hurry in this store...great finds, decent suggestions from the counter people, a bit pricey at times, good gun smiths, counter person nearby needs a bit of an attitude adjustment. At times you dont feel very welcome in the store and how the sales reps inturpt the poor girl behind the register makes for very very lengthy check out. Mr. Peterson, if you are reading this...please organize your people and stop micro managing them. It affects your bottom line and the effectiveness of your customer service. And thats how you get lousy reviews. I like your store, just now how its ran.
I went into this shop for the first time this past weekend and found the people friendly, professional and curtious not to mention extremely knowledgeable. I look forward to years of doing business with them.
Rob Petersons is a horrible place to shop if you are a young person interested in firearms. The staff will treat you as if you are not knowledgeable or even relevant. They will try and make you feel as though you are not important and your opinion doesnt matter. They perpetuate ridiculous theories regarding the shooting community. Such as the idea of shooting steel ammo through your rifle somehow hurts it. The rarity of .22 and their very over priced used firearms, which you can buy new at many online dealers. Will not shop here in the near future.
Walked in last Thursday, not a single hi. Walked around for 30 mins watched other people walk in and get a hi. Not one employee asked if I needed help, other people after me received help. 40 mins later I left. I guess that Hispanics are not welcomed at Ron Petersons gun shop. Went to shooters Den, they were most helpful
DONT SHOP HERE! I bought 2 guns from them in the past, when I traded up they barely gave me half of what I paid for the original gun. Unfortunately the new gun I bought, the wife dropped it & broke the hammer. I went down there & talked 2 the gunsmith & showed him what happen, he said he’d order the part, 3 weeks later, no phone call, nothing! Called them 2 C what’s going on, & they were very rude & couldn’t even remember me. So they took down my info again, over the phone this time, & again 3 weeks later, still nothing. So I called them back & they were even more rude than the last time like if I was bothering them. So I called around & went 2 K&J Armory & got it fixed in less than a week for $10 less than what RP quoted me. Still waiting on their phone call, I will never shop @ Ron Peterson again!
Good store good price nice employees
Rude customer service. But had a lot of guns.
My son and I have purchased several rifles and handguns from Ron Ps and we appreciate the staff and experience each and every time.
I have bought one gun there and have been in the store 6-8 times. Never again. The staff is rude, arrogant and appear to care less. I thought I may have just gotten a rotten apple after the first 2 times I was there, but it is like that every time. They have a good selection and if you know wexactly what you want, without asking any questions, then go ahead. They make every question you ask sound like youre a moron. Several of my Marine buddies feel the same and they know more about guns than the people there.
The best gun store in ABQ by far, especially if youre looking beyond modern plastic guns for the more collectible stuff. If you have a problem with a gun you buy there theyll take care of you. I bought an older rifle there last week, and they put my scope on and boresighted it at no charge, and even gave me a free set of scope covers. Some here have complained they buy guns and then sell them for higher prices, thats how businesses make money, people.
A few of the staff are amazing and professional the rest are rude your typical salesmen. As for the owner I do not want to speak bad I just do not have respect for people who do not follow good ethical business practices!
I never go to ABQ without stopping at Rons to pick up a nice gun for my collection. They always have bargains and are willing to deal. Lays ways are ok also. When I need help I can get it by asking. I dont care for salesmen to follow me around.
Got my first forearm here for an amazing deal, staff is knowledgeable and kind, great for beginners or people who have been in the game for years
Great selection and very helpful staff. The appraisals are fair. I’ve dealt with them for 20 years.
I have done business there before and always find staff knowledgeable and friendly.
This store has everything you could need from black powder to the latest 17 cal and everything in between. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. In my opinion this should be anyones FIRST stop no matter what they are looking for, reloading supplies, used brass, ammo, new & Used firearms or just information. The best time Ive had in a gun shop in years:-)
Re-editing, and reposting my review for the owner who called me a liar. I have it on good word from several people I know, and many APD officers to not buy a gun from here, as some have come up stolen purchased from here. I only learned that after purchasing a gun.Mine did not turn up stolen (a Taurus PT111), and I had it checked by APD. However it was dirty from purchase. I used it at a firing range and noticed the shells were coming out were dirty. Opened the gun to find the entire assembly, especially the firing pin dirty. Given, I should have checked and cleaned the gun. However was told by the salesman when leaving that it was clean and good to go.For the owner, you can call me a liar, call me whatever you want. It doesn’t change my experience with your business nor what people say of it. Your problem, not mine. FYI the gun still works fine, thanks for that much.
Its all used firearms at a high price you guys are pretty rude to military personnel rather go to the big box stores
Just saw them on Better Call Saul. They must be good.
Best gun store in ABQ. Staff is knowledgeable and always helpful.
I walked in and the employees right away greeted me and made me feel at home with great customer service... It was even busy and they managed to get to me right away and helped find a gun that I liked highly recommended
Went in today to sell a taurus pistol Toward a new m&p for my wife not only did they give me 10$ more than I expected for my used pistol the new one was on sale for a great price! Also bought a used mag for my glock staff was very polite and knowledgeable especially the lady at the register this will now be my go to ffl
Classic RE Gun store...lots of inventory reasonable prices knowledgable staff
