I recently found out about Alta Dena beauty supply earlier this year before the Quarantine and quickly became a patron! During the Quarantine the owner who is a beautiful young black woman named Nikki was always open and allowed me to safely and quickly serve my clientele ! She literally saved me and my clients lives this year! I’m forever thankful ! Customer for lifeeee 🥰

Clean, well organized small shop. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Only drag is lack of options for braiding hair. More options and more frequent restocking would make this place a 5 star.

The owner was so nice!! I had my sister-in-law go in yesterday to get some dye for my birthday today and she didn’t have the colors I needed but she told my sister-in-law to have me DM her on IG and she’d order the colors for me. She ordered them this morning and they arrived this evening. She contacted me immediately to come get them. That made my birthday. If that isn’t top notch customer service idk what is!! Could not find a beauty supply store that is open to the public, and found this gem! OMG saved my life and hair during this Covid-19 crisis. My hair was a hot mess it was completely getting out of hand, especially since you cant have a hairdresser at the moment, everything is now DIY. Altadena beauty supply is open for all kinds of needs, they had bleach, developer, toner, even conditioner with toner aka purple shampoo. They had lots of other essential items for the hair as well. I almost gave up looking for a store, alot of this stuff you can not buy at CVS or grocery stores. I am so happy to have found this place. I spoke to the owner since she did not have the developer I needed she said she was getting a shipment on Monday and that she is constantly getting them, but she saw how desperate I was and so she took the developer from her salon next door and gave it to me free of charge she said she cant use it since her salon is closed. That was so kind of her, she new I was desperate, and she did not take advantage of me and instead gave me free product! She even gave me tips for my hair. She is amazing, her name is Nicky and I will definitely be coming back here again!
