I waited while both associates were helping customers. The one with the shorter hair told me she would be with me shortly. She notified the other lady that was done with her customer that I was next in line to be helped. Instead the other lady with the long light brunette hair skipped me and helped another customer disregarding what the other associate told her. I was going to make a purchase here,unfortunately a lack of customer service lost a potential purchase.

Had more than a blessed time at Kay! Mrs. Mildred and Miss Stephanie were more than welcoming! Gave me great service, and more importantly, gave me their time and undivided attention! Felt like my mom and sister were helping me with making the right decision. If you go to Kay Jewelers, which i HIGHLY recommend, please ask for Mrs. Mildred or Stephanie. You in good hands with those two! Whoever owns Kay Jewelers should really give them a promotion or pay raise. Thank you both again!

FAIR WARNING before you buy here- they will show the price when you go to get it inspected. My fiancé bought my engagement ring and wedding band at the Kay Jewelers in the Altamonte Mall in Florida. When we first went to get my engagement ring fitted and inspected they turned around the screen which showed how much it costs. My fiancé was just extremely disappointed that they did this (although the price was more than enough). He complained to the manager, Anthony, who promised this wouldn’t happen again. Sure enough, I went into today to get my wedding band inspected and yet again another employee revealed the price of the ring when she turned the screen around to verify and it included the cost. When he called today to complain to the manager, we were told this is actually store policy to show the screen and that he wished it weren’t the case but it is. I’m writing this review just so all potential buyers know what they’re getting into and are comfortable with the possibility (likely chance) that the price will be revealed when you have it inspected for the warranty.

Horrible customer service. Sue began a sale that she never finished and wound up with the wrong size ring at the wrong price. Manager profusely apologized over the phone however when we got to the store, Sue would not look at us or apologize at all. Would not recommend this store to anyone looking to by jewelry. Now another two weeks without a ring.

Anthony did a great job helping me pick out my wedding ring upgrade. However Sue has the worst customer service skills that I’ve ever seen. She is rude, condescending and very impatient. From the time I walked in to pick up my ring after getting it resized she was not helpful and seemed to be more concerned with customers that came after me. I will NEVER come back to this store and I suggest you find another Kays branch such as the Florida Mall where I purchased my first ring seven years ago. Mildred please work on your staffs customer service skills.

I’m a small business owner and have Spent thousands of dollars on multiple things with the Kay store, as a company they are great with their product, However their management and leadership at that particular store at the Altamonte mall is sickening. I had an experience tonight that was something to make you want to shop online and this is the second time it’s happened with her. I walked in to purchase 4 watches for managers of my business and initially she tried helping me but I noticed her from a negative experience helping me before and simply said I’d like to wait for someone else. At that time Alex, a rep was helping another lady with a ring and it was closing on a Sunday night. They are having a 25% off sale at the time and the lady Alex is helping was told from Mildred, sale ends tonight to basically buy or get out. The lady left. Where I had not wanted to do business with Mildred because of how she treats customers and me personally before I asked Alex to help me, Alex was great and was in process of selling me all 4 watches and Mildred came over upset I wanted to work with Alex and started screaming at me and my wife about random things @kayjewlers this happened 12/6/2020 Sunday night if you like to pull tape. She then proceeded to tell Alex as I was buying the watches the discount does not apply to us, Alex did not understand why and was very apologetic even though she did nothing wrong at that point we left and did not purchase anything. I’d hope the team at Kay would really evaluate Mildred, she’s not an good example of a leader, manager or even a decent person and has at least lost me as a customer. I can’t imagine how many other people she disgusts that go in there to buy things or even worse the poor people that have to work for her, btw only left one star cause when I tried to leave none and it would not allow me to leave post without at least one star

I had my heart set on this specific ring and Mildred said she wouldn’t let me leave outta there without getting this ring. I came in for an inspection for my wife’s ring and Angie made the process easy and understandable. She allowed us to learn exactly what she was doing and even let us try the scope ourselves! Mildred was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly and very knowledgeable. My fiance and I walked in not really knowing what to expect. I have a very small and petite finger so its been difficult trying to find something that fits well and doesnt look awkward. Mildred was able to point us in the right direction and was able to help us find the best savings. My fiance loved his experience too. Hes already looking forward to returning for the holidays! 😊

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The salesperson that tried to help me was rude and unprofessional. I feel discriminate against as a black woman because she felt like I didnt have money and kept suggesting I go to piercing pagoda; and she over talked me the entire time. Please avoid this place and I surely took my business over to Jareds. I wish I would have gotten her name but I will be writing to coporate once I do because she needs to be fired.

For a regular, I’ve interacted with a few gems that are extremely understanding and willing to go the extra mile to meet me and my husbands needs (Sarah, Derrick, Bri, & Angie). As for the others, I can’t speak the same. In customer service, especially a store like Kay, they should be trained on going above and beyond. When you do more for a customer, they spend more. Think about it. Great service will keep the regulars coming back for more... poor service will make customers look elsewhere. Instead of trying to discipline an employee for making a customer happy, try praising them. Great managers are really hard to come by. That is why I am changing my 5 star rating to a 3 star. Treat your great employees well so they can stop leaving.

Not happy with Kay’s today. The internet states their opening time today is 11:00. We have to waste some time waiting til 11:00 only to check with the sales person behind the cage. And she says they don’t open until 11:30. WTH?? Half the day is wasted by then. This is a weekday. Why can’t they start their inventory or whatever it is they have to do to open a half hour earlier??

Mildred and the rest of the staff are great, but the repair people they have are not good at all. I took my emerald ring to be cleaned, fixed, and to have one small emerald that had fallen out replaced. When the ring came back, the repair company had switched out a larger stone that did not have anything wrong with it with an onyx. They then said it was an honest mistake (!!!) and replaced it. Two months after getting my ring back, a different small emerald fell off. I was not doing yard work, or anything that would cause a stone to fall off. I now have to go somewhere else to buy another stone and get it replaced. I think Mildred and the staff are terrific, but I DONT trust the repair company they use, so I wont ever go back to Kays.

Today my fiance and I walked into kay jewelers, and were greeted by Camille and Mildred and let me tell you about the experience we had. I knew the cut and style of the ring I wanted, so i described it to Camille. She was showing me all the selections in white gold, but i wanted yellow gold. 2 hours passed and we are still trying to find the perfect ring. I had my mind set on the Everest collection yellow gold ring, but my heart really wasnt feeling it. When I taught there was no hope, they brought me a ring, THE RING THAT IVE BEEN EXPLAINING TO THEM from I dont know where. With the ring came the matching band. Yes guys a set! And it was on sale. I was super ecstatic! Thanks to Camille and Mildred my ring shopping days are over. Those wonderful ladies made my heart glow. Their customer service was phenomenal and I will forever remember this day 11/23/2019. Wedding day 01/23/2021. I dont like odd numbers, but 23 is my new lucky number!

I would just love to say a huge thank you to the sales associate, Paul. He helped my husband and I replace my severely damaged engagement ring by having us do a trade in towards a new ring and we also got a new wedding band for my husband in the process. He was incredibly nice and explained every little detail of the steps he was taking to help us replace my ring. He also let us know they do engravings and we were able to add each others birthstones into our rings, something i was unaware of before. Going into the store i was not looking forward to potentially picking out a new ring but Paul was able to find my exact ring, on clearance too and make it even better!!! Came in to have my wedding set inspected (its a 2 piece) and the sales associate rudely said only the engagement portion is covered for inspections (as if I was trying to get a freebie). I pointed out previous inspection records (in one of those plastic cases they give you) showing two different warranty #s, but it didnt matter. She took the middle ring, checked the marquise centerpiece really really quick, and gave it back to me. There are many other small diamonds on the band btw. Ive never received such condescending service at a Kay before.

Have had an account with Jared’s and Kay since 2008. Spent well over 20k with approximately 8k credit line now. I just visited store in Work uniform and girl made it clear I was looking at chains over 1k and pointed me to under 1k. I asked for weight of necklace and she told me we sell by looks. Kay you can check my Acct’s and see I own and bought fromKay and Jared’s much heavier pieces and they always gave me weight or knew it. Don’t even want to talk about sizing me up either. You lost a customer today for life in about 1 minute 20 seconds.

Aside from an initial greeting and only two other customers in the store we could not be helped ina reasonable amount of time. After looking in every case several times and a 20 minute wait I got bored and went to get a calendar. When I got back my wife was still waiting. All we had was a simple yes or no question. Since we have to get up at four in the morning every work day and it was getting late we gave up and several thousand dollars walked out the door. The location at Oviedo Mall that closed Dec. 26 was a million times better than the two clueless woman running the joint in Altamonte. Didnt get there names and dont want to know.I believe racism was involved, but could be wrong. Maybe there just stupid.

Terrible consumer service!!! Dropped of my ring for the 3rd time due to the stone falling out. The sales person acted as she didnt want to bothered when I dropped it off.. I told her my stone had fallen out for the 3rd time(same stone) and I asked when will the be back.She said June 02..Ok its June 17 still no call from Kays to let me know if its ready..So I send my daughter there to see if they were ready..The 1st thing she tells me You need to find a new Kay to go to because their customer service is terrible! Im like wow I thought it was only me..The sales girl asked if anyone called and she told them no my mom asked me to pick up her rings.The sales girl then tell her they call when its ready..My daughter say she had to ask if she could just check to make sure theyre not ready,she said the girl seem to have an attitude! Customers spend to much money for you to hire people with such nasty customer service..Maybe they all need to go back through training and learn to respect and treat the customers a little better..I will not be buying from Kay Jewelers or taking the rings I do have now back to the Altamonte mall store..

Save your time and go somewhere else. The SALESpersons aren’t really helpful and seem to be in it for the SALE! Got conned into “free” stuffed animals for charity- employee said since its Christmas I will get free bears for my nieces and that it would benefit charity. BUT what actually happened, is the salesperson took $30 off my total price and charged me $15 for each bear (as a donation). Not that Im against donating, BUT DON’T LIE OR CON SOMEONE INTO SOMETHING- ESPECIALLY TOWARDS A GOOD CAUSE. Talked to manager- and he didnt really seem to care or apologize.

Had a wonderful experience at this Kay Jewelers! We came in looking to browse on a budget and Bridget Conley approached us immediately. I let her know our budget and she went above and beyond looking to help us. Bridget was pulling out many styles which was very helpful in deciding. Most times it feels rushed at different locations while being so specific in what I wanted. Bridget showed no irratation and was happy to help us the entire time. She didnt seem like a salesmen or anything. Bridget was honestly a pleasure to work with and I specifically asked for her name because others looking to shop this location should ask for her. I depend on reviews to have good experiences and if you want one ask for hero. Bridget had me walking out of their feeling happy w my purchase and Estatic w the customer service. We had our ring back and sized within a week. Hands down great location. Fast effiecent and friendly.

If I could leave zero stars I would. It all began when I left my ring to get resized on January 6th, pick up was for the 20th. The lady who took the ring was very nice, however getting my ring back was far from pleasant. I go to pick up the ring and the ring no longer has the Black Rhodium which is a key factor to the ring, Paul comes over and says kindly they will have it fixed by the next day. I call the next day and Paul says its ready and when I get there it is now missing a black diamond! He apologized again and say it will be fixed the next day again. I call and Paul says well just get you a new ring, I agree. 3 weeks later the new ring never existed and i demand to have my original ring back, the right size, color and with all the diamonds. February 18th the ring is picked up, dirty, diamonds look cracked and the ring is still the WRONG SIZE! DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! Highly unprofessional, no calls backs EVER. Paul and his associates proceed to tell me the piece is a clearance item which was never told to my bf who purchased it.

My first (and likely last) Kay Jewelers experience was spoiled be sales people who gave me me incorrect info and subsequent poor rude customer service from the manager Jesse who did little to remedy the situation, save for reading the Kay policy over and over again as if I didnt understand it the first time.My fiancee (now wife) and I purchased wedding bands here. We settled on a style we liked but the store didnt have the right sizes for the rings. We were told by the sales people (a Caucasian woman and an African-American man) that we could purchase the rings and have the rings resized once for free at any Kay Jewelers store. We just needed to bring the receipts. We were told we could do this without needing the warranty plan. Happy with this, we purchased the rings.After returning to our home city of Chicago we tried to have the rings resized and we were told that this was not possible according to Kay company policy and that we needed a warranty service plan in order to have the rings resized. The Chicago location was willing to have the rings resized for free provided the Altamonte was willing to accept the charges.I called Kay Jewelers Altamonte Springs and spoke to the sales manager Jesse. What happened next was perhaps was of the most atrocious customer sales service experiences I have ever received. When I explained the situation, Jesse was rude and continually interrupted and she read the Kay company policy verbatim over and over again.Wait! You arent listening... I protested. I know the policy. The problem is that your sales people promised me something else. She said, Thats not possible at all. And she proceeded to read the policy again! Astounding! I then threatened to report her to corporate during which she changed her tone. After a few moments she said to call the corporate number.So Jesse the sales manager shuffled me off to the corporate customer service number without bothering to deal with a legitimate customer sales problem. She seemed more bent on saving her own hide than helping out a customer.And that folks is precisely how you mishandle a customer service complaint. She has lost my service and has lost my future business for Kay Jewelry. All over $16. The amount itself isnt important but its about listening to customers and treating them as if they matter.

This is the absolute WORST experience I have ever had. I began the process of custom making my wedding band in March, and now in June, I still have nothing to show for it. The staff does not communicate and there is definitely something shady going on behind the scenes.The store told me I needed to also give them my engagement ring for 2 weeks so they could make the band match. Ok wonderful. no problem. I also asked that they replace a missing stone on my engagement ring while they had it. So two weeks later I call the store for a status update and they said with a sassy attitude that there is no way the ring would be ready in 2 weeks, why would someone have told me that? Ok, then when can I expect it? Can you check the status of it? Why would you tell me it is guaranteed to be done by then? This goes on for another 2 months, with intermittent broken promises. On April 1 I was told it was in, and when I go to the store they tell me it wasnt. So I ask what the hold up is and they call their repair center and cant even locate my ring. No apologies, no promised phone calls to let me know theyve located it, no ANYTHING that resembles customer service. Finally, May 1st, after speaking with the corporate office (who might I add is equally as unhelpful) my engagement ring is back in and the mold for my custom ring is in for my approval. From what I could tell I liked the mold, but it was not explained to me the different components, and the details were very hard to see. I tried asking questions about it and must have severely inconvenienced the sales associate with my questions and didnt receive any answers except Its going to look like the mold. I asked for pricing on the ring, and they estimated it $2000 over what it was worth. For the past 6 weeks my fiancé and I have been trying to obtain a price breakdown of why this ring is so expensive and no one can provide us with one. We have however ascertained that the ring was made off the books-- whatever that means. Apparently that means that they will charge us whatever they feel like with no concern for actual value of the materials that go into making the ring. Combined, over the last 3 months, my fiancé and I have spent over 10 hours on the phone with the store and with corporate trying to just get my ring finished and to get a reasonable pricing quote. I keep receiving empty promises of phone calls back. Today, I finally decided to throw in the towel, call my credit card for a refund n my deposit and start new somewhere else. But now I am one month away from my wedding and dont have a wedding band.Not only has this been a problem, but remember that repair on my engagement ring that too 2 months? They exact same stone fell out less 3 days later. So not only am I down a wedding band, but my engagement ring is flawed.Needless to say this has been the most stressful part of planning my wedding. And this is a complete 180 from the experience my fiancé had designing my engagement ring at the winter garden location. He had nothing but the best thing to say, was informed every step of the way and was given an and all information he asked for. I am extremely disappointed with how I have been treated and the lack of compassion from anyone at the store or at the corporate office. Please DO NOT go to this store. I dont want anyone to experience the stress and dissatisfaction that I have.

The worst people ever. The lady told me to do an in house rewards card, and it ends up being a credit card for almost 10,000. If I closed it, it would of ruined my credit
