I just called to see if they were open because many places have odd hours now because of COVID, even if their online hours say otherwise. I said in a pleasant voice I just called to see if you were open. Some miserable human replied Jesus Christ and then hung up on me. Ive worked in customer service my entire life. If someone wants to give you money to support your business and the only thing you have to do to gain their business is say yes to a 4 second question, just muster the fake niceness needed, since you OBVIOUSLY arent naturally a nice person. Ill now drive out of my way to avoid having to interact with whoever that was and happily give my money to someone else.

Went there and tried to pay with my debit card handed him my card old guy said are you kidding me like if you dont like your job retire then told him to run it has debit he refused showed him theres enough on there yall need new employment instead of miserable old men was a regular wont be back again thank george for that

Poor selection with higher prices than other places and employees with zero sense of customer service to boot. Older guy behind the counter didnt want to answer a simple question and was noticeably angry when I asked him to add 3 bags of ice to the order. Then got more upset when I grabbed the ice, said I only paid for 1, insisted I didnt say 3, and then got attitude when I handed him my card to pay for it. Will go elsewhere in the future for sure, worst beer buying experience ever....

If you ever are worried about it being closed before heading over to “Altoona Beverage”, don’t call and ask, you will just get a staff member who will snicker smart remarks such as “would we be open if I was answering the phone right now”, and a rude attitude. Not even wasting my time driving to this place.

The first place I’ve gone to in this town with an extreamly nice staff. I recommend this place for their kindness and of course their beer selection! 5 stars!
