I would definitely not recommend this company. We gave Nic half the payment and had a hard time contacting him for several weeks as he did not answer our phone calls or reply to texts. Once we finally got into contact with him, we gave him many opportunities to make it right but he refused to give even a portion of our deposit back. Like many others, we will be pursuing legal action.
We gave Nick (TEXAS GRANITE GUYS) a $3500 check in September for 50%. This was for 3 slabs of quartzite, 1 farmhouse kitchen sink, 5 bathroom under mounted sinks, fabrication/install. It was an act of Congress to get him to come to our house to take his measurements/blueprints. I think we scheduled this first appointment 5x, each time he was a no show and we would wait on him to only be told after he was 30mins to hour late he couldn’t come.Few weeks of dealing with this we finally get him out to get his measurements. Then we deal with another week of little to no communication during the “fabrication process” as we were trying to get install date scheduled. Multiple times we were told his crew would “be out tomorrow to install” and they never would show up. We would call/text Nick to inquire and no answer/no response until hours &/or days later. This went on for almost 2 weeks. Then his crew finally shows up one day and does about 4 hours of “work”. My husband and I were told by my general contractor ( has no relation to Texas Granite Guys) that Nicks installers were drinking beer the entire time.We tried multiple times to find out when the crew would be back to finish and days went buy with no response from nick. He would’nt take any of our calls or respond to any of our texts. My husband tried calling him from a friends number and go figure, Nick answers immediately. My husband strung him along for a few minutes acting as though he was a potential new customer to keep Nick on the phone. Few minutes into the call my husband told Nick who he was and then started the excuses once again. This time we were told by Nick that him and his brother - George has gotten into a fight which Nick was arrested for. Nick claims that he runs Texas Granite Guys but the company is actually under his brothers name (George). He told us his brother has a severe drug problem and that his brother put a restraining order on him and won’t allow him back up to the yard to collect our remaining slabs of quartzite and that’s why Nick is unable to complete the install. He assured us that he was working w/authorities and would be in touch with us ASAP to finish the job. In the meantime my husband and I track down down Nicks brother - George. He pretty much tells us the complete opposite. He claims Nick is the one with the drug problem. He also said that we paid the wrong brother, that Texas Granite Guys is his company and that Nick never gave him a dollar of the $3500 check we wrote so if we wanted any of the materials we now needed to pay George. We had a long convo with George and told him we wouldn’t pay him or anyone else another dollar until after our job was finished. After another week of back and forth with both brothers making claims to finish the job and telling us the exact opposite of the other we’ve found another company to finish our job. Biggest waste of $3500! I under any/everyone to stay far away from this place. Not sure if the brothers are in on the scam, or if they are each taking turns scamming people and screwing each-other over or what. Do not fall for their lies. I am happy to directly message anyone that wants it all my screen shots for any/all texts I’ve exchanged with both brothers. All lies from day one. Do not give these guys your money, you will regret it
Please do not use. Unfortunately Nick took our initial down payment and was unable to provide a timeframe for installation or proof that our slabs had been purchased. Continued attempts to get a refund over several months were ignored. We will head to small claims court in 2020 to seek a fair ruling on getting our money back.
