I enjoy visiting this bookstore. The owner is great. The staff knows their stuff, and are always quick to help.

We were visiting from out of town and wandered in. They have a little bit of everything, a bit of an eclectic selection, but dont seem to go deep. I like military history and was at a loss to see anything at all. They do offer a number of staff picks for all their team members, which is nice. We asked for a little help in picking out a book for one of our granddaughters and he was very knowledgeable and helped us significantly with our selections. Definitely worth stopping in.

My kids loved this shop. The staff was wonderful. My boys got a stuffed color caryon. Lots off great kids books.

Absolutely wonderful store and staff. I recently contacted Watermark Book Company asking if they could send me some books. I wanted to make sure I was supporting a local business, but I also wanted to find some great new reads while stuck at home. The owner called me almost immediately to discuss books and hand-selected six new books (pictured). I am so impressed with the selection and cannot wait for more recommendations. Thank you!!

One of A-towns two independent book stores. This store carries NEW books, cards, calendars, gift items and they gift rap for free. The staff are always eager to help you find what you are looking for, very friendly folks. This establishment is another town treasure, not to be missed.

Customer service is very friendly and helpful. They even offered to help me with a small problem with my phone. This small town business is an example of the heart of Anacortes. Kindness with sharing of knowledge abounds.

Great independent bookstore. Recently came under new ownership so a young, fresh vibe is apparent. Same fantastic selection as always. They have a book club and host author events and have chocolate too. I appreciate the staff favorites section and their rotating seasonal displays where I have discovered books I would not have run across otherwise.... Which is why we should all be shopping in brick and mortar bookstores - that is the best way to stumble across amazing books you wouldnt normally have found.

Good selection

One of the best little bookstores around. This is a dying breed and so worth visiting! Kids books, local and world travel guides, tempting cookbook section, journals, stationary, and more. Worth visiting for a souvenir or for a great read.

This bookstore has by far the rudest owners I have ever encountered in a bookstore. I went several times because I liked that it was small but still had a good selection on cookbooks but every time I went it was very awkward walking in because the lady and man behind the counter did not welcome me at all and instead always looked very angry. The last time I went I was sitting in the back reading and the grouchy older lady came back and asked if I needed help finding something (first time she ever had) and I replied no I am just looking around at the moment. She then said that she was just making sure because she has had a lot of issues with people taking pictures of the books lately? I said well Im not and she continued to tell me how it has been a problem and I more adamantly said as you can clearly see Im not doing that because her tone implied that I was doing something wrong and I didnt even have a phone on my person. Instead of saying anything else or apologizing for being pushy she just went into the back room without a word. Then the man who is always there came back a few minutes later and he also never asks to help so I asked if he had a certain selection of books and he actually said have you ever heard of a library in a very mean way and then just walked away. I like bookstores where you can relax and read and buy a book if you decide it is worth it. But the people here have made it abundantly clear that people are not welcome unless they are buying every time. I cannot believe how disrespectful they were and I will never be back. If i could give them 0 or even negative stars I would. Please do not give these snobs your business as they do not deserve it and have even made it clear to me that they do not want it.

A lovely bookstore staffed with friendly and knowledgeable individuals. The store carries local authors, cards and all of your favorite books.

All the good things one would expect of a small local bookshop. Knowledgeable staff, who are willing to help you find what you are looking for, even if they don’t stock it. They carry a good selection of books, including the latest releases and more obscure works.

I love this bookstore! Its the best! The staff is helpful, the selection is great and if they dont have it they will get it for you. Its fun to browse in there and no one seems to mind.
