We don’t always come into the Tikahtnu Verizon but every time we do, we always have an amazing experience. Clayton helped us out today and was very courteous, knowledgeable and professional! We got everything we needed taken care quick and easy! Initially we did not plan on buying accessories at that time but Clayton and Ken as well, persuaded us purchasing (with discounts included) and we have no regrets.

This may be long winded....Because it needs to be.Back a little more then a year ago I lost my phone and stopped into this Verizon location to replace it. The young woman who helped me was fantastic! she had all the info I needed helped me deal with customer service and got me a new phone. it was a great experience.Now fast forward to this February, my phone went on the fritz and needed replacing. Naturally I came back because of the service I received in my prior experience. However that was not totally the case this time. The young man that helped me seemed knowledgeable and was friendly however it seemed his real motivation was to get me to upgrade to an unlimited plan as opposed to just helping me get a new phone and leaving my plan alone. Once I made it clear I wasnt interested in changing my plan he all of a sudden became less interested in helping me find a phone. reluctantly he got me a phone I liked with some accessories. After checking out I asked him if he could help me transfer my information from my old phone to the new one(Because that is how it has ALWAYS happed when I got new phone) and his response was No....You can do it online, its easy. then he walked away. It took me almost 4 hours to transfer my information and was not what I would call easy. But I let it roll off my back and went on about my life.Now is where customer service went sub-par to absolute trash. Three weeks or so after this experience, my partner also needed to replace her phone so we returned to replace her phone that was a few models old and was starting to operate poorly. We walked in and were greeted by a heavy set man with tattoos and a long beard whom I believe was the manager. And when I say greeted us I mean he asked us Why are you here? we explained that she wanted to replace the old phone with something newer and he abruptly asked Does that one work? she said yes and he said, Buy one online. they will send it right to you and youll save $20. and then started to turn like he was going to walk away.When she asked if she can at least look at the phones in store he huffed, turned looked at the three people that were currently in the store and said we are at capacity so only one of you can come in.... Ok, maybe you have some covid regulations you are following, I get that, not a big deal. so she went on to look and I wasnt allowed past the doorway. Now, while I was being held at the door he let not one, but TWO people into the store. One to pay his bill and another that wanted to shop for earbuds. all while this was going on, not a single employee so much as even said hello to her while she looked at phones. And it was not due to lack of staff. No, there were plenty of staff standing around or coming in and out of the back. Finally, after 15-20 minutes, she came back up to the front and asked the same gentleman about the google phone and he gave her the same buy it online spiel. She then asked if they had cases because there were no accessories for the google phone on the floor and his response was Maybe. MAYBE? Do you, as a manager, not know your stock? MAYBE? not even a ya know, I dont know off hand, let me run and check to see what we might have. He then proceeded to basically shoo us out of the store. I would rate the service at this location NEGATIVE 5 stars with a zero percent chance of return or recommendation. Moreover, what kind of business model is this? You have a store front, with product, yet all your employees do is send you online? you are literally paying these individuals to stand around and do nothing.we left that location, with an obvious distaste in our mouths, and headed over to COSTCO. Within 45 minutes, she had a new phone, case, screen protector (installed) and all info transferred over. This is the kind of service one expects. if I were the owner of this Verizon location I would seriously consider some restructuring, you are probably loosing money hand over fist with your current staff. For everyone else here, go to Costco, youll be treated better and be exponentially happier

Absolutely TERRIBLE! I wouldn’t even give it one star. I went in with a cellphone I purchased 2 years ago that I gave to a friend who paid for activation the night before. They claimed the phone was lost or stolen and that it was a lost cause to even try using the phone. Even with a receipt stating that they took the money the previous night they still had the nerve to say that I needed to pay for activation again so I agreed just to get the phone turned on and that’s when I was told it was a lost cause. Good job corporate Verizon you are literally useless. Thanks to the non corporate Verizon off of w Tudor it was fixed and activated within 25 mins.

Verizon has great service my dad just got a phone and plan from Verizon because he can never get service at the cabin with gci. Customer service isnt that great though. Plus if you are an existing customer you dont get jack diddly for discounts on phone. They only give discounts to new customers. I would give 3.5 stars if I could.

Where has Verizon been all my life.... Actually they are relatively new to Alaska and offer amazing deals, packages and pricing especially for business. I switch to them on the bring you own device for $30 a month unlimited! Who does that in Alaska!

The guys at this location have always been polite and helpful but because I cant give a one star for the whole company it has to be here. Verizon shuffles their plans around deceptively chunking them into categories like plan, access fee, etc and then come up with promotions that offer a cheaper plan with lesser services and have an increased access fee. Or the other way around. You might save a couple dollars (literally) but then they are the ones saving because they quietly took away your unlimited data or some similar slight of hand. Called to complain and they tell me theyll give me a 15% discount for being a Vet. Bill came and it only applies to one of the little portions they chunked the bill in so again just a couple of dollars.

Gerry was very professional but also personable. He made us feel very at home and comfortable with our plan changes. He also informed us of the many options available that we weren’t aware of previously. Mike, who checked us in upon arrival and followed up with us throughout our visit was also impressive. He and Gerry have an awesome working relationship and definitely won our business. We will always frequent that store location from here on out when the need arises. After the confusion we previously had speaking with customer service representatives over the phone and being slightly irritated because of it....those two guys definitely changed our opinions of the quality of customer service available with Verizon.

The manager is honestly just lazy and try’s to divert his responsibility to the on call customer service reps. My husband and I came into this store to resolve an issue we had With a new phone we got 12 days ago. After we had already talked to customer service on the phone 2 times, we were told both times to go into the store. We drove an hour and a half to go to this store to be told that they couldn’t do anything and we needed to called customer service. I even asked if they would call customer service because they had already told us twice to go into the store and was told straight out no. So after I left I called customer service for a 3rd time and they told us the store should of taken care of the problem and got us into a new phone. This store manger is a joke and doesn’t deserve the title or pay as manager.

Ive delt with Teri and Genni and they are both very knowledgeable. They put me, the customer, first and presented me with options that would work best for my needs. I appreciate that in sales as a lot of others try and push whats best for them and theyre pay plan. Definitely recommend.

Anthony the greater rocks! That guy knows more than the salesmen and was way more personable. He didnt act like he was in a hurry to give information and chatted me up. EXCELLENT customer service (and it had better be, considering that is ALL that they do in the store). If you want to open a new account, pay your bill, or purchase a device or accessory, this is the place. If youre having trouble with your account or need ANYTHING other than what I previously mentioned, you may as well just call customer service yourself because thats exactly what theyre going to do.

Because of its convenience to where I live I have gone to this location several times. That is the ONLY reason.Aside from the very personable and friendly greeter - everyone in that store was awful. No one in that store was knowledgeable and they did not seem to want me to buy anything. (Isnt that their job)Every time I went in it seemed they just wanted to have the conversation/interaction as quickly as possible and then usher me out immediately. I just hate the vibe I get from the people and store. Not a good place to shop and it will definitely be worth to drive somewhere else next time.

We needed assistance with repairs on 2 of our phones during our Alaskan vacation. We were fortunate to be helped by Lowgun. One phone needed to be backup up and then factory reset, with a few steps in between. And the other had a major battery issue. Lowgun was not only knowledgeable, but also efficient and very pleasant. He really saved the day! Being from NY I usually dread going into a Verizon store, but this was a totally different and much better experience.

I purchased a phone from eBay that turned out to be stolen which is an absolute nightmare because it blacklisted my SIM when I inserted it.My company has over 35000 employees with me being the only one in Alaska.This makes it really hard to reach out to our cellular support team. (Whom authorizes SIM replacements.)Lowgun was patient and helped me through this difficult task by setting me up with a phone and internet to use.Furthermore he showed me a method differentiate the different models so I could make sure to get a compatible phone in the future.Thanks for making my terrible day much better Lowgun!!

Ken did horrible. Having many years customer service personally you always let the customer finish talking even if you highly disagree or its the wrong thing. He would interrupt and rudely as well. If I could do negative stars I would on him. Been with Verizon for 8 years and have not seen such horrible customer service. I cannot wait to bring my business else where.

I would rate zero stars if possible, we switched to Verizon after finding out we were being stationed in Virginia. They seemed to offer the best service for that area, key word seemed, potential customers beware. We worked with Alba Gomez who started off extremely nice and helpful. She even offered us free cases, screen protectors and car chargers. I was hesitant at first since the only items we were even interested in were the screen protectors. After her reassuring us that they were indeed free we gave in. We were told we would have to pay $180 for activation fees on the phones, ok no biggy, everything seemed good so far. Lets fast forward a few weeks to our first bill, $1022 bucks, and surprise charges (outrageous ones at that) for the free accessories are on our bill. We expected at most $800 bucks since she also suckered us into the great back to school iPad deal. After visiting two stores and countless conversations with customer service we were given her cell number to contact her directly. Its now going on 2 months, no answers and she refuses to acknowledge our phone calls to explain why our bill was so high. Now granted we have spoken to several Verizon customer service who all told us we had to deal with the associate who initiated our service. This is the reason for trying to contact her directly. In the meantime we were forced to pay a bill nobody seems to have an explanation for in order to keep our service on. This is an ongoing situation that I refuse to give up on, its robbery at best. So beware, make sure you get a print out of every charge expected on your first bill. We received nothing no itemized print out, still cant seem to get one. This tells me someone made a huge mistake or maybe knowingly took us for all they could get. I will be leaving this s company as soon as possible.

Customer service is terrible! We bought a jet pack here without the contract and find out that the Internet is so slow in the ELMENDORF base side. We returned it within the time limit and they told me they have to charge me a restock fee that they never disclosed when were in the process of buying it. The only thing they can say is sorry. Decided to keep it cause the restock fee is almost the same price of the device. It seems like they need to retrain there workers or fired them if they remain incompetent. Smdh
