I recently moved to Alaska and this place is awesome. They have tons of fresh herbs and spices and sell them by the ounce. Reasonable and good pricing. The tea also looks good with a bunch of traditional ways to make and drink the tea. I can tell the employees seem to like working there which makes a difference. I’ll definitely be back often to get a couple ounces of spices and tea when I could use a refill.

So grateful that Spice and Tea Exchange exists in our community. Its the kind of place you can do to just relax and enjoy a wonderful new experience of the senses. Its also the perfect place for gifts for yourself and others that are thoughtful. Everything Ive purchased here has been loved- no regret. Thank you Liz and the wonderful team for making our community a little better, more joyful and spicy too! Cant wait to swing by this weekend!

Just got the Viks Garlic Fix! Spice Blend with a ground peppercorn mix in, other the needing more course ground and more added in (custom mix 1st time), was very tasty with the bbq cooked today, do recommend them

This place is super cool and I cant believe I havent been in before. The staff is very nice and helpful.

We bought several thousand packets of spice blends to give out tour customers this season due to civid impacts on our traditional holiday events. They have been tremendously well received. Pumpkin Spice, Baking Spice, Ham Spice, and Blackened Seafood Spice.

My favorite shop! 5 plus stars!! Always fresh and they were spotless clean and careful even before Covid-19! Liz, the owner, and her staff are incredibly knowledgeable and have great suggestions even for “non-cooks” like me! Remember to stock up with teas and a variety of spices for your CAMPING and BOATING adventures. A spice blend from the Spice and Tea Exchange doesn’t weigh much or take up space in your backpack and makes any meal gourmet! Here’s a picture of what I have on my boat right now (sorry, couldn’t get the pic to load). My favorites include:Thai Red Curry Spice Blend (great with fresh shrimp, potatoes, onion and some coconut milk for shrimp curry)Everything Bagel Spice Blend (love melting a little, more like a lot, of butter in a fry pan with Everything Bagel and toasting a baguette to go with a spaghetti and salad dinner)Signature Spice Blend (great on veggies or, like last night, on pork chops)Mint Basil Herbal Tea (simply the best!)

I was traveling in Alaska with my family and had a hankering for something refreshing. We have a no chain policy when traveling & as we met closed options, we happened upon The Spice and Tea Exchange. Technically the store was closed; however, at 7:22 PM the door was still open and while Liz was checking out another customer, I cautiously asked if they were closed. She let me know that she would be happy to fix me some tea and once she had finished with a customer, she came over to help me select my tea of choice. It was delicious but even better was her warm customer service.The store is well laid out and has a nice aesthetic.If I were local I would be a regular buying quality spices and tea.

We found The Spice and Tea Exchange on a vacation to Florida at Downtown Disney (before it became Disney Springs). When Liz opened her shop here in Anchorage, we were very happy and have been regular customers ever since. A wide range of spices, teas, sugars, and infusions make this shop a must visit place for any cook, amateur to professional. The shop has a bright, open floor plan, with lots of room to wander and browse the offerings. Liz encourages customers to open and smell the teas and spices. They have just recently added a tea bar where you can get a fresh brewed cup of any tea in the store, or try one of the premium brews. Great store, friendly people, knowledgeable staff.

Great little store with a huge selection. I dont know anything about tea but I was buying tea as a gift. Liz explained everything and was very nice. Keep up the good work Liz!Edit: They also have a decent selection of dry rub.

Superb spice store with exceptionally nice folks and great service. I like the fact I can open the containers myself and smell the spices. The prices were very good too. Excellent collection of spices and also specialty powders, which is nice. I will be back in, maybe for a cooking class too!

Have visited them multiple times and they have a great selection for a great price. Wonderful place to pick up a small gift for a family member or friend. Staff is incredibly helpful as well.

Great selection, personal customer service, fantastic community engagement! It is so nice to be able to buy the amount of spices that you need and not have stock piles going stale in the cupboard. Most of the times that I stop by I find the owners on site.

Im SOOO glad that Anchorage has another option for bulk spices and teas. I went in for the first time this morning and Liz was prompt, knowledgeable and helpful. I got everything I needed and a little bit more.
