Excellent customer experience! Its been years since I needed to utilize the services of The Packaging Store. I went in to the store and the customer service I received was outstanding.My packages arrived in two days as promised. The packing was precise and very well done. Everything arrived intact in the same condition as when I dropped it off.When I called to check on the status of the order my call was met with friendly, personal customer service. I would highly recommend The Packaging Store!

Would give zero stars if I could. This company delays for weeks after we have our stuff to go out, and then pawns it off on some other company who is the WORST to actually finish the delivery. After weeks of delays, the company who is scheduled to finish the delivery just drops a household worth of stuff in our move down the street from the house and says best of luck because they refuse to do anything other than curbside delivery and wont go up any stairs. Not only that, but the company they saddled us with forced us to get people to help THEM unload our stuff from THEIR TRUCK, because it was too heavy. Save your money. Go with ANYONE else.

Great store, staff is always helpful and friendly 👍They sell quality boxes & services, with lots of options.They do cost more, just remember the cliche You get what you pay for and its well worth it!I always go here for specialty selections.

We used this “service” to ship all our household goods from Anchorage to Denver. When the goods arrived, they were completely damaged and not even on one pallet. They said I should have bought the insurance when I complained. This is the worst company to use to ship. Save time and money. Use anyone else

The staff at The Packaging Store did a great job of handing and packaging my belongings. I moved all my stuff, including sensitive items like high end home theater gear as well as music studio gear and instruments, thousands of miles. They palletized everything, strapped it and then shrink wrapped it (not sure what the stuff is called - like industrial-strength saran wrap). For the more expensive items they used PBC boards to build walls around the forklift sides. The bit Ive unpacked seems to be in perfect shape. See the attached image (keep in mind, Id already started unpacking some of it, so thats why the cardboard appears to be loose and the top is uncovered on the box on the right).More, they did a fantastic job of handling me -- I was skeptical and a nervous wreck about everything arriving in tact, but Pete (the owner?) was a total pro and gently guided me through the process allaying my nerves.All this said, it cost quite a bit more than Id projected - BUT THIS WAS MY FAULT as Id grossly underestimated the weight of everything. I was expecting it to be around $2000, but it ended up being around $3700 (for ~2700 lbs. and $10K of insurance) for five pallets of stuff (one of which being oversized).I cant foresee ever moving to/from Alaska again, but if I did, Id use The Packaging Store without any hesitation. Pete went above and beyond to make sure everything was packed up right and secure. Due to covid he was short staffed and handled all my items himself like a champ.I boxed the majority of my belongings delivered them to the store and shipped about 1200 pounds of household goods Anchorage to Portland. Because everything is required to be in a box I had him package my table and chairs, his price was reasonable and he did a great job. SO much cheaper than getting a container since I didn’t have enough to fill an entire 20’ container. I paid the $200 to have it dropped at my driveway in Vancouver WA- totally worth it. My things arrived on time and in great shape, I would highly recommend the packing store for moving things out of Alaska.

In a recent move from Anchorage to Portland I used the package store. My things arrived much sooner than I had planned and were in excellent condition. The staff was wonderful and professional throughout the entire action. Cost was much less than I had budgeted. All in all it was an excellent experience. I highly recommend this business. They made my move much easier than I had feared. Great guys!😀

I shipped down to Colorado items very dear to me including framed art work. Everything arrived in perfect condition. Great job!

This buisness came recommended. I moved to Ohio and had them ship my belongings. They paletized it thoroughly. It was so tightly packed securely, my brand new LED tv in the original box, other boxes ended up squeezing against it so hard it damaged the screen. Pete went above and beyond and replaced the cost of the tv and made it right. I recommend the packaging store 100%

I have used the Packaging store three times. They spent time answering all my questions, my pallets arrived in Arizona in excellent condition. My crystal wine glasses, picture frames, Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope all arrived without any pieces breaking. Considering on the same pallet I had in separate boxes, heavy power tools. I was concerned about my telescope but was very pleased that the mirrors didnt get out of alignment. My co-worker who recently moved to Maine had been using the Packaging Store, kept complementing and praised them with his many pallet shipments. He was very cost conscience person comparing shipping cost verses other methods.I like the convenience, the condition of my shipment upon arrival, the friendly staff, and the reasonable costs. Price per pound they cant be beat.

Always friendly, always helpful very reasonable oacking fees, only complaint I have is they only ship out using FedEx. Otherwise great if you need something shipped out that you cant fit into a flat rate box.

Moved from Anchorage to the Lower 48. The final cost was nearly $1,000 off what was originally estimated due to hidden fees. Go over EVERYTHING with them before agreeing to have them move your stuff. They might appear to be the cheapest option in Anchorage, but in reality theyre not. Only one of my items arrived broken (a lamp). Another piece of wooden furniture had some small scratches, which I consider a win for such a long move. However, one box went missing and a manager told me there was nothing he could do about it. Thankfully, it only had about $100 worth of stuff inside.

That foam packaging is the real deal. Excellent way to move expensive items in the mail system.

They wrap my package nice and tight, like really tight.

I wasnt happy with them and I wont be using them
