I love both consigning and shopping here! The ladies are friendly and professional. They are selective in what they take so there is a level of quality that makes it fun to shop. They do an excellent job of pricing, so both consignors and shoppers get a fair price. Really appreciate that they help unload items and if they dont take all the items I bring, they are always kind. Worth the drive to Ankeny!

Just an okay place. I was expecting a bigger store and just alot of glassware. Just not the big selection of things like other consignment places Ive been to. I went on a Wednesday which they had 10% off sale which was nice.

Current styles at great prices. Highly recommend a visit if you enjoy looking for interesting home decor and antiques.

This place has a lot to see if youre looking for some home decor. There are lovely paintings, beautiful furniture, and desirable knick knacks. My mother-in-law stops in weekly due to the changing inventory and deal on Wednesdays.I bought a pie dish with the recipe printed on, as I like those for under ten dollars. The prices obviously varies as they have small items to older, more valuable furniture. They also had a couple neat Halloween things in there today. Im sure theyll have more seasonal decorations around the holidays.Overall, neat home decor thrift store with desirable items at fair prices.

This was my first visit there and its laid out well, its roomy, and there seems to be a good selection of merchandise...However, in my honest opinion, I feel some of the merchandise is a bit overpriced, which I realize its a consignment shop but people arent always going to get out of their items everything that they think they are entitled to, price -wise. but the products that I bought I really like them and you just kind of have to look around and see what they have. The staff was friendly and I really have no other complaints other than I think some of the things are overpriced.

My husband and I went in yesterday to see if we could find some furniture. We didnt see any furniture we loved (personal preference, as there were several nice pieces in the store), but I left with a few other things. The store is well-organized and clean, the staff was super friendly, and I feel as if the prices were very reasonable. There were even some homemade items mixed in with the consignment items! I will definitely be back.

Very nice as far as antique shops are concerned. Not a huge selection. However the items they had are in very nice condition and had reasonable prices. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very inviting. We will definitely be back again.

THEY STOLE MY MONEY!!! This place sold my piece of furniture, never contacted me about it (nor mailed the check by the 6th of the month as is stated in the contract we agreed to at the time), purposefully waited for the check to expire, then refused to issue me a new check when I found out about it, and stated they changed the contract without informing us and they dont mail out checks anymore because that would be too much work. They will just keep My money now.... There is nothing that can be done. Then said they hope that we consider using them in the future! Unbelievable! Talk about robbery!

This was our first trip to the Attic. I was very impressed with it. Everything was arraigned beautifully. As if it were high end merchandise in a home setting. The clerk was friendly and explained how the pricing system worked.

I love the Attic in Ankeny! I have bought so much decor for our house from there and have found a bunch of vintage items for very low prices. Its also just a fun place to go and look at all the stuff people collect and have over the years! Their product turnover rate is amazing so each trip is completely different!

You love nic nacs then this is the place to go. We were able to get some McCoy piece and a few other items at a very good price. Id get more if I had the room for it. The staff was nice and the atmosphere was great. It was clean and people were happy to help when needed. Will be back when I have more space.

I like the fact that theyre right up front with you when you bring things in to sell. If they dont think they will sell they tell you right away. Their store is clean and well arranged. And, theyre smart and nice.

I found some very reasonably priced collectible Fenton Glass pieces here. There were some different antique cup and saucer sets that were a steal! I enjoyed walking around inside. It had a very comfortable atmosphere and plenty of room to walk without feeling worried you might bump into and break something. Reccomend!

A consignment shop that specializes in unique, novel items. It has a fairly broad aesthetic appeal, but usually lends itself to some form of vintage. Consignment of items is fairly clear cut if you have items you want to sell - its probably a good idea to call ahead before you bring your item in since they are selective - i.e., dont expect to unload a bunch of CRT monitors or your old vhs collection.Usually they display well maintained items of a certain rarity or broad aesthetic appeal - so, as a consumer, quality items from other countries & cultures will always draw my appeal when I stop in, not just Americana.Also, keep in mind, retail space is limited & you wont be able to necessarily set your asking price. And dont destroy antiques or rarities trying to scrub them clean - its bad for your item & asking price, its bad for them to sell, & I am less than likely to purchase highly damaged items.Even if you want nothing to do with consignment, it is always interesting to stop in & see what new or different items people have brought in. The Attic is a nice place - it definitely fills a large gap in modern retail. I really do hope we will see growth & expansion of the Attic.
